Stráž nad Nežárkou in pictures (theoretical-practical thesis)

This bachelor thesis is focused on history and present of Stráž nad Nežárkou using available historical sources. It deals with the connection of the historical cultural heritage and the current life in the town. The thesis maps monuments from the point of view of changes, architectural uses and activities of outstanding personalities. For illustration, the work is supplemented with pictorial documentation. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the documentation of the contemporary appearance of selected localities and architecturally historical monuments, which the author captured in the study using various art techniques.
The History of Parish in Stráž nad Nežárkou between 1900 - 1950

The Bachelor thesis deals with the histori of the parisch in Stráž nad Nežárkou in the period 1900-1950. The main topic is the beginnings of the clerical administration in Stráž nad Nežárkou, which date back to the middle of the 14th century and further developed over the centuries until 1900. It describes the beginnings of education, which is related to the Bishop of Budějovice J. V. Jirsík. From the 20th century there is information from both world pre-war, war and interwar periods. It describes the life of the owner of the local manor, opera singer Ema Destinnová. The work deals with the history of transfers and exits from the Roman Catholic Church in the period between 1919-1941 and other information from the parish until 1950. The theoretical part took place mainly by collecting data from archives and practical by processing them and supplementing them with information from the used literature and Internet sources.
Jaroslav Vogel (1894-1970) - artistic profile

The framework consists of comprehensive dissertation intepretation and sources concerning the conductor, composer, journalist, and organizer of musical life Jaroslav Vogel (1894- 1970). Along with a comprehensive description of the artistic profile, synthesis, and attempt of a critical evaluation, the chapters are structured thematically in this work, with regard to the time sequence. The principal sources were archives and daily newspapers, in which the obtained information was verified and developed. The introductory chapter is devoted to family, education, and the first professional experience indicates the relation between his studies and the genesis of Vogel's future professional direction. The central article is part of the work of the artistically important period in the opera ensemble of the Národní divadlo moravskoslezské (National Moravian-Silesian Theatre) in Moravská Ostrava between the world wars, when its implementation and opera concerts of symphonic music reached a high artistic level, with extraordinary social and educational outreach. The view of dramaturgy and quality opera productions and concerts provide the opportunity to evaluate the significance of his organizational skills and influence on the development of Ostrava music culture. Emmy Destinn as a writer and composer

Emmy Destinn was the most famous Czech operatic soprano, who achieved fame in the whole west world. Not only did she engage in singing but also in writing and composing. Several pieces of work came out during her lifetime. This thesis deals with the output of the writer and composer Emmy Destinny with a brief description of her life at the beginning. A collection of poems called Sturm und Ruhe was published in German in 1902. Five years later another collection Der galante Abbé also in German followed. Only the first collection of poems is analysed in this thesis. Emmy Destinn also wrote several plays: Pod praporem umění, Dvojí hřích, Rahel, Tůně, U Cíle, Kruh měsíců a Nadarmo. For the lack of literature the plays are described only generally. During her engagement in the Berlin State Opera she was trying to finish a novel Pan doktor Casanova, which, however, ended as two unfinished versions of a description of life in the State Opera. Her most crucial work is the chronicle novel Ve stínu modré růže with a subtitle Román zašlých vášní, in which she is describing the Leonhardi dynasty, which owned the castle in a town Stráž nad Nežárkou.
