Revision of a Strategy In an Existing Entity

This thesis aims to contribute to the understanding of the importance of strategic management as a part of business management. By means of a case study of an existing medium-sized enterprise, an application of a standard strategic management framework is presented. The purpose is to redesign the entity's current strategy to ensure further successful developments. In the first part of the thesis, a review of established literature on strategic management forms a basis for the introduction of the main concepts and stages of a strategic management process. The second part of the thesis is built on a comprehensive analysis of an external and internal environment of the entity. The aim is to formulate revised long-term strategies. The results of the internal and external audit identify key areas of the company's future success, which are customer orientation, implementation of the most modern technologies, ensuring effective and efficient processes, strengthening established partnerships and increasing employee engagement. Strategic Management in the Non-Profit Sector - Suggested Strategy for the Enterprise Leaders Platform

This work presents a case-study of application of the standard strategic framework to a specific non-profit organization in the Czech Republic. This organization is struggling with financial problems and with lack of competitive advantage. In the first part of the work, results of the external and internal audits are used to formulate a medium-term strategy for the organization. The process identified following key areas: strategic financial management, employee training and education and continuous improvement of quality of services. These areas are further developed into strategic goals and initiatives using a strategic management system Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Each perspective of BSC contains an example of the cause-effect relationship of selected initiatives. The output of the model is a matrix of scorecard measures which forms a basis for strategic management in the organization. Finally, early steps for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard for a period of six months are identified. The diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of the selected company XYZ, s. r. o. using the Balanced Scorecard method. The thesis includes three main parts. In the theoretical part, basic terms and knowledge are defined, which are important for the development of the analytical and proposal part. The analytical part deals with the introduction of the company and the analysis of the current state. This includes evaluating the financial situation and carrying out a strategic analysis of the selected company. The last part of the thesis is focused on the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method, while recommendations and suggestions for improving the company's performance are proposed here, which are based on theoretical knowledge and the analytical part of the thesis.

The master‘s thesis evaluates the performance of an engineering company engaged in the production of agricultural machinery, analyzes the current situation between 2018 and 2022 and proposes the introduction of the Balanced Scorecard model. The thesis is divided into 3 parts, the first explains the goal of the work in details and the methods for its processing. The second part presents the theoretical side of the thesis, such as the explanation of the individual models of financial performance assessment, primarily the Balanced Scorecard model and its individual perspectives, including selected indicators of financial analysis needed for them. This knowledge is then practically used in the next part, which uses not only the financial statements of the company and the indicators gradually calculated from them, but mainly the individual perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard model, the set strategic goals of these perspectives and strategic actions leading to the fulfillment of the set values. Last but not least, the work is concluded with a summary evaluation of the proposal to introduce the Balanced Scorecard model into the company, together with possible benefits and risks of introduction, including their analysis and measures.

This master´s thesis focuses on the design of the Balanced Scorecard model for the real environment of the company SEEIF Ceramic, a.s. The thesis contains a theoretical part in which the basic concepts are explained, including the Balanced Scorecard model itself and its individual perspectives. In the analytical part, the company is introduced and financial and strategic analysis is performed. Subsequently, based on the analyses, a proposal for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard is made, which includes strategic objectives and benchmarks. This proposal should subsequently lead to an increase in the performance of the company.

The theoretical background introduces necessary topics in the field of business performance, including approaches to performance measurement. The analytical part of the thesis includes the presentation of the analyzed company and the analysis of the current state of SAKO Brno, a.s. through selected analyses. The final part, based on the findings from the analytical section, deals with proposing the implementation of the BSC model into the company, along with the benefits and analysis of possible risks.

The thesis can be divided into three parts, the first part is aimed at clarifying the theoretical knowledge. It describes the methods that can be used to evaluate a company and the next chapters are devoted to financial analysis indicators and strategic analysis. The practical part deals with the financial analysis of the company for the years 2018 to 2022, followed by the aforementioned strategic analysis. The last part is the actual implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method, which will help to improve the performance of the company.
