Thin Sol-Gel TiO2 Films Prepared by Inkjet Printing – Photoelectrochemical Properties
Morozová, Magdalena ; Klusoň, Petr ; Dzik, P. ; Veselý, M. ; Krýsa, J. ; Šolcová, Olga
This study reports the structural and electrochemical properties of the deposited TiO2 layers prepared by means of the templated sol-gel method by the inkjet printing. The layer morphology and material properties were in detail investigated by optical microscopy, SEM, AFM as well as Raman spectroscopy and XRD analysis. The photo-excitation properties of the TiO2 layers and the ability of their photocurrent generation were studied by electrochemical methods.

Titania Supported Co-Mn-Al Catalysts in Total Oxidation of Ethanol
Ludvíková, Jana ; Jirátová, Květa ; Klempa, Jan
In pelletized mixed oxide catalysts prepared by calcination of coprecipitated precursors, a considerable part of the pellets is not utilized in case of very fast catalytic reaction, due to the effect of internal and external diffusion. Therefore, deposition of thin active layer on a supporting material is advantageous. In this contribution, the effect of the support (titania grains and extrudates) on properties and catalytic activity in VOC oxidation of both catalyst geometric forms were examined.

Thin Functional Films of TiO2 Nanoparticles
Morozová, Magdalena ; Klusoň, Petr ; Hejda, S. ; Kment, Štěpán ; Šolcová, Olga
Magnetron Sputtering and the Modulated Hollow Cathode Plasma Jet Sputtering. As chemical method the sol-gel process carried out in the templating environment as dip-coating and piezo-jet printing was employed. The produced films differed in many structural characteristics and also in their photoelectrochemical behaviour, as the primary sought function. The produced layers were described by means of atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, ellipsometry and profilometry. Then the films were used as electrodes in photoelectrochemical experiments.

Total Oxidation of Organic Compounds in Air over Oxide Catalysts
Ludvíková, Jana ; Jirátová, Květa ; Kovanda, F. ; Klempa, Jan
The aim of this work was investigation of the influence of various combinations of metals, Cu, Co, Ni, Mn or Al on properties of LDH (layered double hydroxides)-precursors and their calcined forms, examination of formation of these layered double hydroxides on a model support (anodized aluminum foil), and determination of catalytic activity of the calcined precursors in oxidation of ethanol as model compound.

Comparative study into the photocatalytic performance of mesoporous films of TiO2
Rathouský, Jiří ; Kalousek, Vít
At present we are faced with the consequences of the pollution of the atmosphere of municipal cities, the soiling of the external surfaces of building structures as well the pollution of surface waters.
The photocatalytic performance of mesoporous films of TiO2 in the gas-, liquid- and solid-phase degradation of pollutants
Kalousek, Vít ; Jirkovský, Jaromír ; Rathouský, Jiří
Due to their unique properties, the anatase TiO2 films with developed 3D mesoporosity are efficient photocatalysts in the degradation of a broad range of environmental pollutants.
