Machine Learning-based Fingerprinting Localization in 5G Cellular Networks
Dinh Le, Thao ; Mašek, Pavel
This study explores the viability of employing machine learning (ML)-based fingerprinting localization in 5G heterogeneous cellular networks. We conducted an extensive measurement campaign to collect data and utilized them to train three ML models: Random Forest (RF), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The findings reveal that RF delivers the highest accuracy among the three ML algorithms. Furthermore, the results indicate that 5G New Radio (NR) can benefit the most from this localization method due to the dense deployment of base stations, achieving median localization errors of 17.5 m and 106 m during the validation and testing phases, respectively.

In the empirical part, we compared the knowledge about hormonal contraception and its risks among students at a secondary medical school and gymnasium, while also investigating whether their knowledge is influenced by the grade level they are studying. We assessed the level of knowledge about hormonal contraception, its forms, risks, side effects, and positive effects. We also determined the primary source of...

The problematics of curatorship for children and youth.
KOLÍN, Daniel
My bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of curatorship for children and youth. The goal of my work is to find out what are the main limits of cooperation between the curator for children and youth and collaborating organizations in the Český Krumlov district. The curator for children and youth is a specialized expert in the field of social and legal protection of children, whose task is to prevent the emergence and spread of socially undesirable phenomena among children and youth. Its work consists of providing social counseling and taking measures to alleviate or eliminate problems such as poor school attendance or alcohol and drug use. For the research part of my work, a qualitative type of research was used, which took place through a semi-structured interview, in the form of questioning. In the first part of my research, all curators for children and youth from OSPOD who work in the Český Krumlov district were selected as communication partners. The second part developed from the first part and includes employees from collaborating organizations, which were mentioned by the curators in the first part, as the organizations with which they operate most often. Subsequently, all data were processed using the open coding technique. It emerged from the results of the research part that the given subjects do not perceive any fundamental limits in their cooperation and they value cooperation as high quality one. However even so, they identified some limits to work with for the best quality result. The limits mainly include communication, low number of personal meetings, low capacity of some organizations, driving distance, mobility, different opinions, time availability and openness to cooperation. This bachelor's thesis can serve as a learning resource for curators for children and youth and cooperating organizations to improve the quality of their cooperation and at the same time to eliminate shortcomings in this cooperation.

Issues of geriatric palliative care
ŘÍHOVÁ, Marcela
Introduction: As the number of elderly people increases, so do the demands for specialized palliative care. Therefore, this bachelor thesis deals with the issue of palliative care in geriatric individuals. Objectives of the thesis: This thesis aims to find out what knowledge nurses, in selected wards, have about geriatric palliative care and what is the continuity, of geriatric palliative care, between hospitals and nursing homes. Methodology: The qualitative research technique of the semi-structured interview method was used. Using the snowball sampling method, the research population consisted of nurses selected based on specified criteria. A total of 11 interviews were conducted with general nurses working in the South Bohemia and West Bohemia regions. The results were processed using the "pencil paper" method. Within the framework of open coding, 6 categories, 18 subcategories, and 154 codes were identified. Results: Nurses in selected departments are informed about geriatric palliative care issues and are still interested in further education. The results also indicate deficiencies in the amount of information being conveyed. Sending patients/clients in inappropriate conditions was repeatedly mentioned. Communication among nurses takes place through transfer messages or, if necessary, minimal telephone contact. Nurses provide standard care for geriatric palliative patients, but in some areas, they have an individual approach based on the needs and desires of the patient. Conclusion: The research results once again underscore the necessity of paying greater attention to the quality and organization of handover between hospital facilities and senior care homes.

Psychedelic plants of natural nations
BURKOŇ, Vojtěch
The aim of this thesis is to outline the diversity of cultural uses of psychedelics and the resulting possibilities for modern society. The bachelor thesis explores psychedelic plants and their use within the indigenous cultures of Mexico. The theoretical part provides a detailed description of the biology of these plant species, including taxonomy, morphology, distribution and habitat, and their active compounds. Chapters on the history and traditional uses of these plants follow. The final chapter of the theoretical part summarizes current knowledge about the potential of psychedelics in clinical practice. The practical part expands the topic to a global scale with a table of plant species containing psychedelics and being utilized to some extent by indigenous people. Informations about these species were selected from available literature. The table shows that the predominant species are from the families Cactaceae na Fabaceae, from Central and South America. Most comonnly from arid or moist habitats. From psychedelics, they mainly contain various tryptamines and phenylethylamines. Parts of the plant used are primarly seeds, stems and leaves.
Mladý ječmen a chlorella jako součást zdravého stravování
BÍCOVÁ, Pavla
Products of young barley and chlorella belong to the increasingly popular nutraceuticals due to their rich nutritional composition. The aim of the thesis was: to assess the offer of young barley and chlorella in the market network in the Czech Republic, to evaluate the knowledge about these products and the effects of using these dietary supplements by questionnaire survey (n = 338) and to assess the quality of the selected products. There is a relatively wide range of chlorella (57 products; 75 % in tablet form) and young barley (24 products; 71 % in powder form) products on the Czech market, which differ in composition, processing method, country of origin, price and information provided about them. Knowledge of the production method and the contents is important when consumers choose products. This knowledge was found to be low among some users. Awareness increased statistically significantly with age and educational attainment. The majority of users of chlorella (181; 55 %) and young barley (224; 68 %) did not suffer from side effects associated with initiation of use. The most frequently reported adverse symptoms were related to the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhoea, constipation). The most frequently reported beneficial effects were more energy and vitality, improved digestion and immunity. The microbial quality of the chlorella and young barley samples met the legislative requirements. Total polyphenol content and total antioxidant activity were lower (1.20?0.00 mg/g - 1.35?0.01 mg/g, 0.73?0.00 mg/g - 0.84?0.02 mg/g, respectively) in chlorella (11.44?0.26 mg/g - 7.92?0.25 mg/g, 10.36?0.00 mg/g - 22.76?0.27 mg/g, respectively) compared to young barley.
