Working of radiators

This diploma thesis deals with the operation of radiators. It is divided into three parts. The first part describes the various types of radiators and heating surfaces, radiator control and heat measurement, the second part deals with the design of heating and hot water in an apartment building in Brno in two variants of the conceptual solution and the third part is processed in the form of experimental measurements issues of radiator operation during a real day in the heating season and operating conditions that may occur.

Diplomová práce je rozdělena na tří částí. První částí je analýza tématu, cílů a způsobů řešení, která obsahuje i teoretickou část. Druhá část je aplikace tématu na řešeném objektu včetně podrobného výpočtu a návrhu otopné soustavy, přípravy teplé vody, dvou variant alternativních zdrojů tepla a jejich porovnání, které vede k výběru lepšího zdroje tepla. Třetí část je projekt a obsahuje technickou zprávu vybrané varianty a projektovou dokumentaci, která obsahuje všechny potřebné výkresy.
Hotel in Wallachia

The subject of this diploma thesis is the elaboration of documentation for the construction of a hotel with a restaurant in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The building is designed for short-term accommodation of 50 people. The building is functionally divided into a hotel part and a restaurant part. It is a detached object L-shaped building. The building is designed as a classic building with masonry system. The hotel part is designed as a two-storey with masonry system and sloping roof. The restaurant part is designed as a two-storey with basement. This part is also from masonry system and with sloping roof. The building has 22 double rooms, 1 apartment for 4 people and 1 room for people with reduced mobility, restaurant and technical facilities.
Renovation of the building with respect to energy demands

The diploma thesis deals with the solutions of the renovation of a panel apartment building with regard to energy efficiency. The theoretical part deals with heat pumps. The acquired knowledge was subsequently applied in the computational part, where the energy assessment of the current state of the apartment building and the design of two possible variants of renovation are addressed. The aim of the first variant is the renovation of the building to meet classification class C using the possible funds. The second variant is focused on the technical equipment of the building and primary energy from renewable sources, so that the apartment building reaches classification class A. Both proposed variants are assessed from both an energy and financial point of view. The project part then contains certificates of energy intensity of individual variants of the building.
Systems of energy efficient buildings

The topic of this diploma thesis is systems of energy efficient buildings with a focus on the building envelope. The first theoretical part describes the quantities that we consider when designing the building envelope. The second half of the theoretical part is with reference to the experimental part of the thesis focused on a special type of vertical perimeter structure, namely walls with live vegetation installed from the outside of the structure. The second, practical part of this work, deals with the design of heating and hot water supply for a multifunctional building. The design is elaborated in two variants - heating by means of radiators in the first variant and in the second variant by means of floor heating for residential units of the solved building. The third part define an experiment, which had the task of comparing the measured quantities on two types of vertical perimeter structures, namely a structure with growing greenery from the outside and an identical structure only without a layer of greenery. At the same time, the task was to check the possible influence of the applied greenery on heat losses, and thus the design of the heating system.
Energetická náročnost rodinného domu vytápěného dřívím

This bachelor thesis is concerned with determining the energy demand of heating of two variants of a terraced house. It deals with the original situation after construction of a family house and the situation after thermal insulation of perimeter walls, windows and doors replacement. The thesis compares these aspects: thermal losses, heat consumption for heating of the most commonly used heat sources, operating costs for heating and hot water warming, purchase costs for acquisition of these technologies and return on investment to these technologies.
Nedvědice - návrh půdní vestavby rodinného domu

The thesis is focused on the design of loft conversion of the family house in Nedvědice. The introductory part of the work contains a brief characterization of the village, where is the house located, the identification of the object and defining the basic requirements of the investor for the intended purpose. After the focus of the object and the development of documentation of the current state are drawn up an alternative disposition and spatial designs of residential under-roof space from which the investor selects the most appropriate solution to possible implementation. For the selected variant is created a design of enclosing, dividing, ceiling and floor constructions with assessment enclosing constructions from the point of view of heat transfer coefficient. The practical outcome of this work is subsequently drawing part of the building design solution to the extent necessary for the implementation, which is complemented by technical description and pricing list of material.
Bytový dům s téměř nulovou spotřebou energie

This thesis discusses about the calculation of heat losses residential house by 4 floors with 15 residential units, which are compared in the software PROTECH TV and PHPP. Thanks designed quality building cover, the heat losses by transmission of the object are really low. The need of energy use for heating very influencing parameters like forced ventilation with heat recuperation and solar and internal profits of the apartment. With these profits for the climatic conditions program PHPP calculates automatically, but in TV software against these profits must be inserted manually.

This work is focused on a design and assessment of construction of wooden building family house. It is a building of frame construction with diffusion open structure of perimeter shell. At the beginning of work is sketch given issue and used construction system. After that are designed possible alternative structures of perimeter wall and its chosen the most eligible option from the point of view thermal technical appraisal. The appraisal is executed from the point of view achieved value thermal transmittance, so it met the requirements low-energies buildings. The chosen structure of perimeter wall is subsequently considered in design of family house.
Realizace roubené dřevostavby

The thesis describes the design of complex of identical four timber houses disposed over a particular area. The thesis also contains documentation for the implementation. Objects will be used for recreational accommodation purpose on an organic farm. One building is designed for a capacity of at least 6 people. Project is focused on one type object for which are developed construction drawings needed for construction permit check. The thesis is mainly focused on manufacturing documentation and output from modelling software for timber constructions made by DIETRICHS company. For the needs of an investor, for possible design of composition of timber construction were proposed, for which were performed calculations of coefficient of heat transfer and calculations of the house constructions project documents. Due to chosen construction technology, the first part of the thesis is focused on basic information related to timber constructions from the perspective of history. Description of possibilities of corner joints are also included in thesis.
