Evaluation of the Causes of Traffic Accidents Involving Public Transport Vehicles in Brno
Ševčíková, Lucie ; Finstrle, Jiří (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
My master´s thesis is concerned with the problems of traffic accidents involving public transport in Brno. The first part of my master´s thesis is concentrated on an analysis of the structure of the vehicle fleet of the Dopravní podnik města Brna, a.s. (DPMB). There is an evaluation of traffic accidents of the vehicles of Brno´s public transport in the second part, according to the kind of traction. An analysis of the causes of the most common accidents was carried out on the basis of the ascertained results. In the last part, my master´s thesis is concerned with a proposal of measures to reduce the accident rate.

Study of Speedometer's Hand Behaviour by Traffic Accident
Polnický, Václav ; Sojka, Jiří (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the ability to determine impact speed of vehicles in traffic accidents. Thesis tries to find out whether jammed needle of speedometer and tachometer, as well as needle's imprint, could provide relevant informations for traffic accident analysis. The outcome is formulation, whether these informations are trustworthy, or under which circumstances are valid.

Methodology for the Inspection of Traffic Accident Sites by the Police
Dvořáček, Tomáš ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This thesis comprehensively covers the concept of procedure of examination of a traffic accident location by the police and its subsequent documentation in order to maximize the data and materials objectification. The thesis pursue to describe each step taken while investigating a traffic accident, as well as provides an overview of processing the facts collected and the measurements taken at the scene. Furthermore, a summary of each type of clue and damages occurring in the causality with traffic accidents is provided.

Analysis of the Speed of Cyclists Aged from 4 to 10 Years
Skanderová, Valentýna ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The diploma thesis Cyclists speed analysis at the age bracket of 4 to 10 deals with history and origin of bicycle, description and types of the contruction of bicycles for children at the age bracket mentioned above. The thesis includes the statistics of accidents involving cyclists and regulations providing for the ride on a bicycle on a carriageway. The practical part includes measuring cyclists speed when passing a measured section and the analysis of these data. The analysis of data is processed in terms of gear systems as the equipment. Complementary measuring was made in a slight rising. In the second part of the practical part is measured braking of cyclists at a particular age bracket and the evaluation of their deceleration. The conclusion includes comparison with measuring of other authors made so far.

Analysis of Documentation of Real Damage to Vehicles in Road Accidents
Novotný, Václav ; Kovanda,, Jan (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a comprehensive analysis of the photographic documentation of vehicle damage in traffic accidents. A systematic overview of the current documentation and included inspection is carried out in the analysis. Police records are compared with records made during the crash tests. Further, the documentation in this thesis is divided into two groups of conflicts. The representative of the accidents are described in detail and then evaluated. Similarly, this procedure is practiced on other car accident that reflect the mutual deformation. The result of this thesis is to determine the optimal location of the lens for the acquisition of documentation and establishing a baseline number of photos to document damage to the vehicle after the traffic accident.

Methodology for evaluating the cause of an accident at specific traffic accidents
Kohút, Pavol
For traffic accidents when one vehicle enter into the opposite direction lane, the criterion for the cause of an accident (for most cases) is the collision place. In most car accidents when a vehicle enters the opposite lane, this happen suddenly, sometimes sliding sideways, and in such cases it is (the collision place) a very good indicator for the causes of traffic accidents. Rarely, however, there are also accidents, where there is not decisive in which lane impact happened. Such traffic accidents, however, occur very rarely and by the experts are often considered for the assessment of the causes of traffic accidents wrong. The present article focuses on the methodology of evaluation of the causes of an accident just when such specific cases.

Usage of cdr systém for traffic accident analysis
Kasanický, Gustáv ; Vertaľ, Peter
Currently underway in Europe legislative and technical preparation, which aims to establish clear rules and requirements for OEM companies. It means, what data should be store in airbag unit, how long and what frequency has to be used for data acquisition. The aim is to prepare clear rules for producers, which should enter into force in 2018. Institute of Forensic Engineering of University of Žilina is one of the pathfinder institution in the Europe, which is actively involved in the introduction of CDR-system in the Eastern Europe and in the countries that use the Slavic languages. It was necessary to verify and demonstrate system functionality in the European conditions. The USI ZU carried out two vehicle crash tests with car from European distribution. The tests are demonstrating the functionality of the CDR-system. The knowledge from tests is going to be used for experts training.

Analysis of the suddenly x not suddenly reported by experiment
Tokař, Stanislav
This paper deals with the measurement for determining the boundaries of sudden change speed. The introduction briefly describes the current status of this issue in forensic engineering. Methods of measurements is based on the hypothesis that today still valid definition half the prescribed braking rate for determining the sudden change speed is no longer sufficient. The author favors the second definitions is half the maximum achievable deceleration adhesively. To confirm this assumption, made a set of measurements with respondents who assigning subjective evaluation of various driving maneuvers.
