Hydrogen fuels
Tyagunova, Victoria ; Bébar, Ladislav (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis presents a basic review of production and use of hydrogen fuels. The main focus of this paper is the use of hydrogen in industry and power engineering. The first part concerns various industrial production technologies. The next section is dedicated to the description of hydrogen use for energy conservation, fuel cells, power plants and combustion engines. it includes the comparison of hydrogen and classic fuels. The final part focuses on the economy and costs of hydrogen production and use. This paper will evaluate hydrogen as a potencial fuel for future and will estimate it’s advantages and disadvantages in comparison with conventional fuels.
Possibilities of energy storage
Sedlák, Petr ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (referee) ; Moskalík, Jiří (advisor)
Because part of energy produced from renewable sources is growing continuously, increasing the gap between consumption and production of electricity. This has a negative impact on the electricity grid, therefore hence the need to accumulate energy. In the following work is mapped out different ways of accumulation of electrical energy. There is described their used, advantages and disadvantages of different storage systems
Smart grids, smart appliances and power accumulation
Súkup, Tomáš ; Fortelný, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with problems of power consumption and related areas of energy storage and its distribution to consumers through smart grids. Then on appliances applicable to these grids and the possible savings from the use of concessional tariffs.
Different use of the wind energy.
Sukup, Jan ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describe main kinds of wind turbines, principle of their functions and their usage to electricity generation. The second part deals with ways to storing wind energy. There is description of compressed air energy storage technology and their combination with combustion of biomass. Second mentioned energy storage technology is electrolysis of water and possibility of usage hydrogen.
Economic analysis of energy storage devices contained in EFSI 2015-2017
Kůt, Petr ; Macháč, Jan (advisor) ; Vojáček, Ondřej (referee)
As a result of support of renewable energy sources in Europe the fluctuations in electricity production occurs and threaten the stability of the electrification network. For this reason, we can monitor growing demand for technology solutions that are able to effectively eliminate these fluctuations. Devices for storing electrical energy appears suitable. This thesis deals with the economic analysis of the projected facilities in the Czech Republic that have applied for support from the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI), compared to other model devices. As part of the work there was used method of cost-effectiveness analysis to evaluate various technology solutions based on the ability to provide ancillary services. Consequently on the results of thesis we can say the most cost-effective project is under current conditions, construction equipment storage technology using compressed air CAES located at Dolní Rožinka included in EFSI 2015-2017.
