Sediments of the Orlík resevoir
Thin coal seams of Cenomanian coal on the top of Potstejn Anticline - East Bohemia
Martinec, Petr
There is given a new information about historical attempt about coal mining. The very thin coal seam is situated in fresh water claystones of Cenomanian age near Vrbice village (East Bohemia). This fresh water sediments are continuated to NW from Cenomanian river and lake sediments in the vicinity Moravská Třebová and Svitavy towns.
Atypical development of sediments in the Prokop seam under layer in the Frenštát area
Fialová, V. ; Kožušníková, Alena ; Marečková, Kateřina
The presented paper is supposed to refer to a fact, that except from the frequently described „ganister“, in the Prokop seam under layer also occurs zone of sediments with atypical development. Analyzing the thickness of this zone in the explorative field Frenštát – west, the thickness extent of this zone was assessed and the area with the maximum depth of atypical development of sediments was defined.
Mikromorfologické zhodnocení sedimentů Labského dolu : závěrečná zpráva
Lisá, Lenka
V roce 2007 byly metodou studia povrchu křemenných zrn zpracovávány vzorky z vrtných jader z lokality Labský důl v Krkonoších. Cílem posouzení studovaných sedimentů je zjištění míry vlivu glacigenního typu transportu v dané oblasti. Současně s posouzením mikrostruktur povrchů křemenných zrn byly studovány mikromorfologické vztahy v rámci jednotlivých vrstev. Podle nich pak byly vyčleněny rozdílné typy sedimentace.
Phytotechnologie utilization for organic polluants decontamination
Soudek, Petr ; Vavříková, Zuzana ; Podlipná, Radka ; Vaněk, Tomáš ; Lehký, L.
Phytoremediation is defined as an using of green plants in situ or on special adapted area for the purpose of risk decreasing of contaminated soils, sediments and ground waters by removing, degradation or stabilization of contaminants with utilization of natural processes in plants.
Charakteristika různorodých půd a sedimentů užitím specifických aktinomycetových r-DNA PCR primerů
Hill, P. ; Krištůfek, Václav ; Caballero, S. ; Kroetsch, D. J. ; Rauch, Ota
Most molecular biological studies of the soil characterise a few soils or sediments under a range of treatments or over a limited time. It is difficult to compare results between studies due to variations in DNA extraction method and PCR conditions. High diversity of the soil bacterial population means that it is impossible to characterise many soils through cloning and sequencing and that finger prints are often blurred and difficult to interpret. We compare a broad range of soils and zoo/anthropogenic sediments with actinomycete specific primers. ARDRA and cloning showed that these primers amplified mainly verrucomicrobia from tropical, temperate and sub-arctic soils and actinomycetes from biologically active and urban street sediments. We found two new groups that were broadly distributed in soils: a new actinomycete family and the AD-3 candidate division that was found in acid tropical and sub-arctic soils
