The comparison of winter wheat yield ability
AMBROZOVÁ, Lucie
The topic of this Diploma Thesis is "The yield ability comparison among varieties of winter wheat". The Thesis dealt with the yield ability of chosen winter wheat varieties grown in the Czech Republic. Twelve varieties were chosen for the measurement purposes. The experiment was done with kind cooperation with the South Bohemia University in České Budějovice, faculty of Agriculture during growing season 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 on its own land. The experiment was focused especially on the yield components creation number of ears, number of grains per ear, and weight of a thousand grains. Among those, the incidence of weed, diseases, pests were observed during the vegetation period. The number of plants and offshoots were rated. At the end, the theoretical and actual yield, ear length, and volume weight were compared.
The comparison of winter and spring wheat quality
UHLÍKOVÁ, Jindřiška
The theme of this Bachelor's thesis is to compare the grain quality of winter and spring wheat varieties. There were a total of 16 selected varieties, 12 of winter- and 4 of spring. The experiment was conducted on the grounds of the South Bohemian University in Ceske Budejovice. The botanic characterization of wheat, the chemist of wheat grain and the quality parameters used for examination are mentioned in the introductury part . The first part of the experiment was focused on the control during the growth, the second part documents the analysis of examined samples (mass per hectolitre, N-substances, gluten, Zeleny test, falling number).
Control of weeds in a classical way and minimalized tillage winter cereals in stands.
PECHAR, Aleš
The aim of this Bachelor´s work was to extend the findings from the classical aspect as well as the minimalizing method of soil tillage and suggest the possibilities of successful regulation of weeds on arable land for growing winter wheat. On the experimental field where the soil was processed by classical tillage appear less dangerous weeds, which were destroyed by application of herbicide and their number was minimal. There were mainly dangerous weeds on the experimental field cultivated by minimalizing, like Silky bent grass and Cleavers. Even if the herbicide applications significantly reduced them, there were a few individuals in the experimental plots. In the economic comparison was found that there is not big difference in cost in both variants of tillage, but the conventional method of processing in this case is cheaper. At the soil endangered by erosion would be better to choose the minimalizing method as an appropriate variant of tillage. But it is needed on all soils cultivated by this method choose different depth of tillage, including the use of deep processing undermining or classical plowing.
Evapotranspiration of selected agricultural and forest species
Kučera, J. ; Urban, J. ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Fischer, Milan ; Krofta, K. ; Duffková, R.
The aim of this article is a comparison of evapotranspiration (ET) of different covers (turf grass, clover (Trifolium pratense), winter wheat (Triticum aestivum), hops (Humulus lupulus) and the high density poplar stand (J-105, Populus nigra x Populus Maximowiczii)) with the potential evapotranspiration (PET) and the general description the ET rates dynamic during the season. The second goal is to quantify the ratio of the transpiration and the whole evapotranspiration for the two contrasting cultures – the hops and poplars stand. The daily maximal sum of the grass ET reached, similarly like for the other species, up to 5–6 mm per day, which comprises 85–93 % of PET. Significantly higher ET was showed by the culture of clover. On the other hand, the lowest values were performed by the poplar stand in the first year after coppicing. The transpiration to evapotranspiration ratio resulted in 40–70 % by the hops and 80–90 % in case of the poplars.
The comparison of winter and spring wheat yield ability
AMBROZOVÁ, Lucie
The theme of this Bachelor's thesis is to compare the productivity of the variety of winter and spring wheat. This report deals with the earning capacity of selected winter and spring wheat varieties. There were a total of eight selected varieties, 4 of winter- and 4 of spring. The experiment was conducted on the grounds of the South Bohemian University in Ceske Budejovice. The first part of the experiment was focused on the control during the growth, the second part documents the analysis of examined samples (ear length, number of grains per ear, weight of thousand grains and the volume density).
Growing of wheat in NORI, k. s., ZD Přešťovice and Farm - Administration
KŘIVAN, Václav
Aim of this bachelor theses was to investigate differences between technological processes of winter wheat cultivation on selected varieties grown on farms Nori, k. s., ZD Přešťovice and Farm Administration s. r. o. Varieties with similar attributes were selected and yield components (such as number of plants per square meter, number of spikes per square meter, number of grains in the spike and weight of one thousand of kernels) were studied. Samples of monitored wheat varieties were collected and bulk density was determined. The obtained results were statistically evaluated and discussed. Obtained data were used for recommendations. All selected varieties achieved higher yields compared to the national average on monitored farms with one exception - variety Cubus on Nori farm.
Yield formation of winter wheat in ecological agriculture
HERINK, Jakub
This work deal with formation of winter wheat yield. Winter wheat was grown after three different previous crops: trifolium, potatoes, PCC. The experiment was aimed on creating yield components: numer of plants per square meter, numer of grains per spike, the weight of one thousand grains. There were performed measurements dutiny the vegetation and there was calculated theoretic and real yield.
Quality of the wheat grain at ZD Hodonice
SABÁČEK, Radek
Wheat belongs to the most important farm plant worldwide. The largest part of wheat sowing area is used to reach a food quality. An aim of this work is to assess the main criterions of the wheat grain at Zemědělské družstvo Hodonice and suggest the possibilities of its improvement. Wheat quality was assessed using wheat varieties harvested in 2007-2010 in this order: Balada variety from 2007 harvest, varieties Barriton, Bohemia, Balada from 2008, Barryton, Bohemia, Balada, Bardotka from 2009 and Barryton, Bohemia, Bardotka from 2010. Laboratory analyses were made by ZZN Pomoraví a.s.. Individual varieties were compared according to these quality indicators: colour, smell, the taste of grain, moisture, the foreign matters, volume density, and weight of thousand of grains, the mineral content, nitrogen content, SDS test and a Falling Number. The results were put into charts and graphs, assessed and compared according to ČSN-1100-2 ?bread wheat? and other literature data.
Yield formation of winter wheat depending on row width in ecological agriculture
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Lucie
The Subject of diploma work: Yield formation of winter wheat depending on row width in ecological agriculture This work deals with the formation of winter wheat yield. Winter wheat was cultivated on the narrow and wide rows to field experiments. The attempt was focused mainly on creating yield components (number of plants per square meter, number of grains per spike, the weight of one thousand grains). There was also accomplished the verification during the vegetation and there was the comparison of the theoretic and real yield at the end.
Yield formation of winter wheat in ecological agriculture
ŠEBESTOVÁ, Martina
The diploma thesis "Yield formation of winter wheat in ecological agriculture " is focused on classification of genotypes of bread wheat on the basis of the morphological characters and yield output of bread wheat in ecological farming system. The field trials were set up by using the method of random blocks in the years 2005 and 2006 on the experimental area of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. 10 Austrian genotypes of bread wheat were tested: Capo, Ludwig, Clever, Eurofit, Element, Eriwan, SE 408/04, SE 320/05, SE 304/05 a SE 322/04. The results are focused on the postharvest analysis the main yield components {--} number of spike per square meter, number of grains per spike, thousand grain weight (TGW). The yield and theoretical yield is presented there too. The number of grains per spike, the level of yield and TGW were relatively high. On the other hand the number of spikes per square meter doesn´t reach to expected value in ecological farming. The results were analysed by ANOVA of main effects in programme Statistica. The tested Austrian genotypes showed the possibility of using them in the conditions of ecological farming in the Czech Republic.
