Dopady válečného konfliktu v Sýrii na úroveň migrace obyvatelstva

This bachelor thesis describes and analyzes the start up process of conflict on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, changes in the level of migration caused by the conflict and final destinations of refugees. The thesis focuses on international organizations involved in humanitarian crisis resolution in each host country. Conclusion contains suggested solutions to the problems associated with inadequate living conditions of refugees.
European migration crisis and the role of selected countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany

This master s thesis deals with European migration crisis and the role of selected countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part contains definitions of basic terms. For better orientation in this subject, it is crucial to distinguish between the terms migrant, refugee and spurious refugee. Another section is devoted to the theory of migration and asylum and migration policy. More extensive analytical part of the thesis is dedicated to possible causes of the current migration crisis and demographic structure of migrants. Furthermore a large part of the thesis is devoted to their level of education. In subsequent chapters the thesis deals with the impact of the migration crisis on economic and social aspects. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current status of the migration crisis in the EU and to compare the approach of selected countries to this crisis. The comparison is included in the last chapter.
Forced marriage as a reason to obtain asylum in the judgements of the European Court of Human Rights

This thesis deals with the topic of forced marriage in the context of obtaining asylum in one of the European countries. The issue is approached through the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. Initially, the thesis focuses on the subjects of forced marriage and the European Court of Human Rights separately, and examines them from different percpectives relevant to refugee law. Subsequently, several criteria are selected that assist in analysing the judgements of the European Court of Human Rights, which concern requests for asylum based on forced marriage or its threat.
Refugees in the Czech Republic: impact on the Czech labour market

This diploma thesis is concerned with the issues of refugees with a focus on refugees living in the Czech Republic. The thesis analyses the current situation concerning the life and work of refugees in the Czech Republic and assesses the impact of the refugee and asylum policy on the Czech Republic's economy and labour market. The thesis is divided into three chapters. On the basis of general introduction the first chapter examines the basic terminology and categorical definition of the refugee status. The chapter distinguishes legal and institutional framework of refugees under international, European Union and Czech Republic law. Moreover, the first chapter emphasises the global economic and social impacts of the migration of refugees on both host and source countries. The second chapter is narrowly focussed on the issue of refugees and the position of the Czech Republic. It describes the core of the Czech Republic asylum system policy and the governmental and non-governmental institutional frameworks. Considering the established facts, the second chapter analyses the socioeconomic impacts of asylum seekers on the economy and society of the Czech Republic. The third chapter is the practical chapter and analyses the overall processes of economic adaptation of refugees and deals with the difficulties of the assertion of the refugees on the Czech Republic labour market. Furthermore the final chapter highlights the essential obstacles associated with employment of foreigners and the matter of illegal labour market. On the basis of personal research, the third chapter analyses the attitude of Czech Republic employers towards employing foreigners and in particular refugees staying in the Czech Republic.
Attitude of selected states of the European Union to Syrian refugees

Syrian Civil War and its impacts have escalated into the worst humanitarian crisis of the 21st century. Syria's neighbor countries are no longer able to accept Syrian refugees and so the refugees are forced to seek asylum in other countries. The countries of the European Union became their often sought sanctuary. Opinions on receiving refugees from Syria are split - some countries have decided to accept refugees, other are still waiting. The paper consists of theoretical background and empirical part. The theoretical background explains motives which lead countries to comply international commitments. The empirical part is targeted at asylum policy of the European Union and mainly at attitudes of Germany and France to accepting Syrian refugees.
Institutional Protection of Syrian Refugees Provided by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and its Role in Providing Solution to the Refugee Crisis

The current conflict in the territory of Syria burden almost the entire Middle East, mainly by the number of refugees who were produced. Currently, it has been the largest refugee crisis since the Second World War and therefore it raises the urgent need for international intervention. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) holds one of the key roles, whose mandate is focused on providing international protection and humanitarian assistance. It is adapted to the primary objective, which is to assess the functioning of the UNCHR in this crisis, what specific actions it takes to provide humanitarian assistance and international protection of Syrian refugees and finally how it contributes to solution to the refugee crisis. It is an assessment of the UNHCR presence in neighbouring countries that were most affected by refugee waves and only marginally in the territory of Syria towards the internally displaced persons.

This bachelor thesis is concerned with migration and Europeanization in regard to the migration policy of the European Union. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the migration policy of the EU in the wake of the Arab Spring and to demonstrate the existence of the Europeanisation processes.

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na vybrané právní, politické a etické aspekty azylové politiky EU s ohledem na přijímání žadatelů o azyl. Na základě analýzy právních dokumentů Evropské unie, Rady Evropy a OSN týkajících se zadržení žadatelů o azyl shrnuje podmínky zadržení a přístup jednotlivých státních i nestátních aktérů k uprchlíkům. V politické části jsou na rozebrány principy mezinárodní ochrany uprchlíků a vývoj společné azylové politiky EU na pozadí procesů komunitarizace a sekuritizace. Poslední část se pak věnuje formulování eticky odpovědných pragmatických pravidel k řízení azylu a potažmo i migrace.
Formation and development of asylum policy in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis deals with the formation of the Czech asylum policy after November 1989. Basic terms such as migration, asylum, refugee atc. are defined in the intoductory part. The developmental stages of the asylum policy in the Czech Republic are described in the second part of the bachelor thesis. The bachelor thesis deals with the legislation on asylum policy in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. The last part is focused on the organizations which help refugees who are trying to integrate and adapt to the circumstances of the Czech Republic.
The legal status of asylum seekers in the EU

The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to describe circumstances relating to completion of Common European Asylum System, furthemore the work is focused on asylum procedures in developed countries. The work is divided into four chapters, the first of which explains the basic concepts of an asylum area. In the second chapter, there is depicted the development of legal status of refugees and asylum seekers, in connection with legal acts and international treaties governing the status of these persons. The issue of basic rights and obligations of asylum seekers and refugees is entrusted to the third part of work, followed by a chapter focusing on the description of asylum procedures and its results in five selected european countries.
