Social Problems in the Strmilov Area

The aim of this thesis is to identify social problems that appear on area Strmilovsko (including local parts) focused on issues related to views on subjects and objects of social policy. The practical outcome of this work are the results of field surveys, which will be used in the process of community planning. Another outcome is a catalogue of offers and services at leisure and social areas for selected municipalities.

The objective of this master thesis is to analyze and evaluate the accessibility of social services in Central Bohemia. Special attention is given to the area around the city of Rakovnik with the goal of evaluating itsbreadth and availability of social services in this peripheral area of Central Bohemia. The introduction of the theoretical part begins with the definition of social politics, including its models and principals. A description of the social politics of the Czech Republic, along with related laws, structure of social services and their providers follows. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a comparison of social systems in the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia. The conclusion is dedicated to issues of community planning, its creation and benefits associated with it. The practical part of the thesis deals with social services in Central Bohemia. Attention is focused on community planning throughout Central Bohemia and the structure, typology and availability of social services for its residents. The practical part offers a more detailed analysis of social services in Rakovnik, presenting its community plan and the structure of services offered in the district. The methods used in developing the topic of this thesis is a literary review, descriptions, analysis, interviews, results of emprirical investigations and an imperical synthesis of learned facts.
Availability of social services in the Ústecký region: case study Šluknov area

The aim of the diploma thesis is to map and evaluate the availability of social services in the Ústecký Region. Special attention is devoted to Šluknov -- an area, which is known as the northern-Czech end of the world and which is also facing social and ethnic problems. Theoretical part of the thesis introduces social services as a part of a social policy, describes their contemporary significance and concept and further confirms their impact on quality of life. It also presents the typology of social services with focus being placed on two selected users groups -- elderly citizens and ethnic minorities. The theoretical part further addresses the legislative grounding of social services in the Czech Republic and introduces a key process of community planning. The practical part of the thesis, based on publicly available data and interviews, analyzes the availability of each type of social services in the Ústecký Region and more deeply maps available social services in Šluknov area according to users groups which were established in the community plan. With respect to the specifics of the district, the thesis concludes that social services are provided in adequate structure. Nevertheless, most of them are situated in central part of Šluknov area, which leads to poor accessibility to residents in marginal areas of the region.
Social Services and Their Availability in the Vysočina Region

The aim of this diploma thesis is the mapping and analyzing of the availability of social services in the Vysočina region. Closer attention is given to the district of Havlíčkův Brod focusing on the evaluation of the scope, structure and availability of social services in this region. First the thesis presents the theoretical bases of the social system, in particular the historical development of the welfare state and its typology. After that follows a research focused on the comparison of the social systems in Czech Republic and Slovakia, France and Sweden. The last part deals with the characteristic of social services in Czech Republic, their financing and contemporary developments. The practical part focuses exclusively on the analysis of the availability of social services in the Vysočina region. Attention is paid to the capacity of services for defined population groups that are largely sufficient. To the disadvantaged groups belong drug addicts, homeless persons and people released from prison that are included in the group of people who are in a crisis. More detailed attention is given to the district of Havlíčkův Brod by evaluating the local as well as the capacitive and financial accessibility. The widest range of services is designed for seniors, disabled persons and people with an intellectual disability. Families with children, young people or other people in a crisis are struggling with poor access to social services. Most providers are concentrated in the former district town and other towns of the district catchment area. In some remote parts of the region, a sufficient supply of field and ambulatory services is not ensured.
Social services and their availability in the Moravian-Silesian region, case study region Karvina

The aim of this thesis is to monitor and evaluate the availability of social services in the Moravian-Silesian region with a more specific focus on the region Karvina. To better achieve the goal, there were set research questions that focus primarily on differences in the range of services for seniors and persons with disabilities, both in the region and in the Karvina region. The theoretical part is focused on defining the basic terms of social policy. There are introduced social models in the European Union and the social system in the Czech Republic. The next chapter presents the theoretical part of social services in the Czech Republic, where the services are divided according to types and according to the focus on the target groups of disadvantaged persons. It also describes the financial aspects for these services. The practical part is divided into two areas of investigation. First, it analyzes the availability of services in the Moravian-Silesian region where the services are compared between six regions. Further analysis evaluates the availability of social services in the Karvina region. Conclusion corresponds to the predetermined hypothesis whether the services offer to the two largest target group are different or not.

This diploma thesis is focused on the Czech citizen attitude to the issue of donation and is aimed at finantial support of non for profit organizations providing social services. It deals with understanding preferences and behavior of donors. To achieve the goal the author uses a questionnaire survey conducted on sample of 500 respondents. The data for quantitative survey were collected from March to April 2015. The qualitive survey was done through the with in-depth interviews (n = 22), data was collected from April to August 2014. The survey results allowed to formulate recommendations for non for profit organizations providing social services.

Need for accomodation facilities with complex care is growing due to increasing middle life expectancy and decreasing level of senior self-sufficiency. The thesis is focused on services effectivity in specialized social facility, re-tirement home in Božice, funded organization. Defines importance of these or-ganizations, functionality and funds which are used for funding. Economy effectivity of selected organization is evaluated. Last step is to prove the bene-fits of current solution.

This Bachelor thesis deals with finding additional financing options contributory organization that provides social services. The work also includes a proposal to secure financing from European funds. The work is divided into theoretical and practical. In the theoretical section are summarized the theoretical knowledge related to the practical part. In the practical part is introduced allowance organization of the South Moravian Region - Zelený dům pohody. Subsequently, selected subsidy instrument and processed cost-benefit analysis, which is the basis for the project, which the organization could this programming period used to obtain additional sources of funding for their activities.
Analysis of Awareness, Involvement and Views on Developments in Social Services among the Students of Social and Charity Work of the Theological Faculty in České Budějovice in the years 2012 - 2015

This bachelor thesis is a result of the research, which I conducted for three years among the students of the daily and combined studies at the Faculty of Social and Charity Work of the University of South Bohemia in České Budejovice. The thesis also offers a theoretical account of the issue. Using the expert sources I describe what social work is and what its goals are. I also deal with social workers, principles and values stated not only in the Code of Ethics of Social Workers. I mention the social policy, as well as the principles and laws related to this topic. Then I explain social services together with their types and forms. Finally I address the involvement in social services. I intersperse the theory with the findings of my quantitative research, whose aim was to determine how the students are informed and engaged in the social field and how their views on the developments in social services changed.
Independent living in old age

The bachelor thesis examines the topic "Independent living in old age" and is focused on seniors living independently in their home environment. The aim of the thesis is to determine how seniors aged 65 and over, living in separate households, perceive, evaluate and experience the life stage of old age, the activities they are engaged in, what kind of social support they can find in their surroundings, and whether they are aware of and use available social services for seniors. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the topic. The practical part is devoted to the research, which was conducted through a semi-structured interview and a questionnaire. The work includes an overview of social services for seniors in Český Krumlov.
