Fixed Assets according to IAS/IFRS and Czech Legislation

Diploma paper deals with questions of the tangible assets. The first chapter contains determination of the tangible assets and its measurement in term of generally accepted acccounting principles and analyses the depreciation policies. The second chapter focus on the tangible assets in term of International financial reporting standards (IAS/IFRS) especially according to IAS 16 Property, plants and equipment and IFRS 5 Non-current assets held for sale and discontinued operations. The third chapter defines the tangible assets according to Czech legislation. Part of my paper consists of a questionnaire focused on depreciation intangible and tangible assets in Czech Republic and using taxes depreciation in the accounting.
Use of account sheet to evaluate the financial position of the company

The aim oh the diploma thesis is to analyse the financial situation of a company on the base of account sheet. In theoretical part there is a description and explication of processes and methods of financial analysis including the description of source of information suitable for financial analysis. There is as well the description and analysis of the financial statements constructed according to the Czech rules and according to the International financial reporting standards IAS/IFRS. In practical part of this thesis there is the aplication of the processes and methods of financial analysis to evaluation the financial position of the company Elitex Nepomuk a.s. based on the period since 2002 to 2008. The conclusion of this thesis contains the summary of the history and the present condition of the financial position of the company Elitex Nepomuk a.s. There is also the evaluation of the financial health oh this company based on the outcomes of the financial analysis.
Accounting methods for business combinations

The graduation thesis is targeted at the issue of accounting methods for business combinations. The main goal of the thesis is to describe and compare tree basic accounting methods for business combinations -- purchase method, pooling of interests method and new entity method, especially in terms of the International Financial Reporting Standards and the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Essential part of the thesis is dedicated to the historical development of harmonization of business combination accounting. Changes in calculation of goodwill are also included.
Financial statements according to Czech legislation and IAS/IFRS.

The aim of this work was the compilation of financial statements in accordance with Czech legislation and in accordance with IAS/IFRS and the subsequent comparison and evaluation. After explaining basic concepts, which relate to the topic, I have made financial statements in accordance with Czech legislation. The next step was to change the reporting of several selected items so that they are in accordance with IAS/IFRS. Specifically, it was a change in accounting for depreciation, deferred tax calculation, reporting lease and adapting service revenues of the incomplete transaction. Then I made the statements in accordance with international law, and to compare it with the Czech one.
Immovable property tax and accounting aspects Czech and international legislation

This work deals with definition and analysis of harmonisation of Czech accounting standards and IAS/IFRS with focus on long-term tangible property{--} immovable property. The aim is to describe, all elementary differences as well as some related particular exceptions Primarily the work deals with the classification of property, its pricing methods and other characteristics of tangible assets, which will be compared in terms of accountancy and tax system. Furthermore the differences between the Czech and international legislation frame will be highlighted in case this legislation must be followed by the accounting entities . The aim of this work is to describe application by the Czech and international legislation with focus on differences related to immovable property. Immovable property problem analysis in relation to practical application and in relation to IFRS/US GAAP will also be realised.

The objective of my thesis is to outline the evolution of accounting regulation. The thesis describes development of accounting, first regulation forms, emergence of double entry and present globally accepted accounting standards. In my work I enlarge the development of two well known accounting standards GAAP and IAS and their regulation. The convergence project between standard setters' bodies is elaborated as part of present development of accounting regulation. One of next titles in my thesis is the accounting harmonization process in EU as part of accounting regulation and the adoption of IAS standards by EU Commission
Tangible fixed assets according to czech accounting regulations and IAS/IFRS

Purpose of this work is to describe tangible fixed assets in compliance with czech accounting regulations and International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS) and compare them, i. e. point out common principles and differences of czech accounting regulations and IAS (primarily IAS 16) in this matter. Intangible fixed assets (IAS 38) and specifity of agriculture (IAS 41) are not objects of this work.

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to characterize approaches to accounting information of the Czech accounting regulations and the International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS/IFRS) and to compare them. At the beginning the term leasing, sorts of leasing, advantages and disadvantages are defined. In the following two chapters deal with different matters in bookkeeping and reporting according to the Czech Accounting Standards and international legislation. Finally, this bachelor thesis interprets particular accounting approaches to leasing and compares them. Different reporting results are applied to a model example.
Provisions — Comparison of Attitude of Czech Accounting Legislation and IAS/IFRS

The thesis attends to the issue of provisions as an instrument of the prudence principle in Czech legislation and in International Financial Reporting Standards. In addition to delimitation of provisions according to Czech legislation the thesis includes also listing of particular categories of provisions and tax-deductible provisions. Thereinafter, it defines provisions from IAS/IFRS point of view. The objective of the thesis is to summarise the issue and to compare regulations of provisions of both, IAS/IFRS and Czech concept.
