Šlechtění a návrh standardu zakrslého saténového berana
MRÁZOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of this work was to create a draft for the breed standard of the dwarf satin mini-lop on the basis of information available in literature and from scientific sources. The proposed procedure for breeding a new breed was also executed within the terms of this work. An imaginary breeding pair consisting of representatives of both founding breeds for the new breed was put together. A punnet square was created according to the rules of genetics and Mendel's Laws, which generated a summary of genotypes originating through cross-breeding in the F2 filial generation from both founding breeds. A summary of actually bred individuals was also created from the aspect of exterior traits on the basis of the genotypes and the subsequent procedure for breeding was then proposed in order to achieve the corresponding proposed breed standard in all the bred individuals. According to the draft of the breed standard the dwarf satin mini-lop should have a thickset, short body, without a visible neck. The limbs should be moderately long and very substantial. The forelimbs should be straight. The head has a roman nose and is wide throughout the profile with slightly protruding large eyes. The ears are attached to both sides of the head in a horseshoe shape, with the openings facing the head and a space between the ears of 22 to 28 cm, forming bumps at the root, without any folds, fleshy, with abundant hair and are rounded at the ends. The fur should be dense, elastic, 1.8 to 2 cm long, very soft, with an unusual, very distinctive silky and glittery lustre. All the colours of breeds with normal coats given in the sample book of breeds are permitted without exceptions for spotting or patterns. The ideal weight is 1.20 to 1.40 kg.
Vyhodnocení výrobní měrné emise amoniaku z vybraného chovu drůbeže
PILÁT, Jiří
Abstract Agriculture has a significant part in environmental pollution. Gass emissions from breeding livestock have a great impact on the environment as well as exhaust emissions. However, the most negative environmental impact from the emissions of gases is ammonia. For this reason, this diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the production specific ammonia emission from the selected breed. Furthermore the diploma thesis focus on the evaluation of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide emissions in the selected agricultural operation. The measurements have been done in a state enterprise: International Poultry Testing, located in Ústrašice.
Rizikové faktory v chovu králíka domácího
HOŘEJŠOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with rabbit breeding. It describes convenient methods in rabbit breeding and highlights the risks associated with it. The introductory part describes the historical development of rabbit domestication. In the following parts it describes convenient practices in rabbit breeding and highlights the risks associated with breeding. The most common diseases of rabbits are listed in the last part, the clinical symptoms and therapy that must always be determined by the veterinarian, are also mentioned. The thesis is supplemented with own photographs.
Porovnávání růstu a stavby těla chladnokrevných hřebců
BALOUŠKOVÁ, Lidmila
The thesis deals with the comparison of growth and physique of the draught-horse stallions. There are three main draught-horse breeds in the Czech Republic - Noriker, Silesian Noriker and Bohemian-Moravian Belgian horse. Currently, the amount of these draugt-horses decrease significantly and we should pay more attention to their preservation. In total, 45 Bohemian-Moravian Belgian stallions, 16 Silesian Norikers and 12 Norikers were involved in the monitoring. The stallions were measured in the age between 6 months and 2,5 years. During the measurement, the basic body size, main size and body weight were measured and selected body indexes were calculated. The measurement took place in Humňany (Zemský hřebčinec Písek, s.p.o.), in Janovice u Trutnova (Chov koní Dvorka) and in Proseč pod Křemešníkem (Farma Hrnčíř). All the body sizes collected at the age of 2,5 years were in accord with the sizes required for the acceptance of the stallions to studbooks (except for circumference of foreshank of the Bohemian-Moravian Belgian breed).
Horse breeding and practical lessons at elementary school
PAVELKOVÁ, Petra
The main goal of this bachelor thesis in its theoretical part was to elaborate on the topic of horse breeding, regarding the basic knowledge of horse care, tools for the horse care, rider's equipment, stabling, feeding, types of equestrian sports and contact of children and horses. In the practical part, an educational programme was created, designed for the pupils of the 9th class of elementary school, which are in the process of making the decision about their future secondary school. The pupils try during the programme how to do the basic horse care, how to saddle and put on headgear, such as a bridle or a halter. The educational programme was tested on a group of 15 pupils and is ready to be used on other groups.
Terrestrial Isopods as Model Soil-forming Agents in Practical School Education
Korbélyi, Tereza ; Mourek, Jan (advisor) ; Nodžáková, Kateřina (referee)
- 2 - Abstract Woodlice (Isopoda) belong to major soil decompositors of plant material and at the same time easily collectible. These organisms are therefore suitable for integration into practical school lessons. The aim of this thesis is therefore to design inquiry-based education using Isopoda as an example of soil decompositors. The first part of this thesis is focused on the theoretical introduction to inquiry- based education. It is also devoted to describe woodlice (Isopoda), explain their morphology, life cycle and cover the most common species of Isopoda occurring in the Czech Republic. A simplified determination key for these most common species is included. The second part of the thesis includes complete instructions on how to use these organisms in practical teaching with elements of inquiry-based education. The manual contains techniques for collecting and storing woodlice. The manual also contains instructions to individual experiments, including the list of needed tools and advice, where to obtain the tools and other didactic materials. The third part of the thesis has a research character, where, based on a questionnaire survey, students' attitudes towards woodlice (Isopoda) and their knowledge shift before and after the practical lesson are evaluated. Keywords Isopoda, inquiry-based...

Význam rodin v chovu chladnokrevných plemen koní
HOŠKOVÁ, Soňa
The aim of this diploma project is to work out an overviw about temporary cold-blooded horse families bred in Czech republic. Based on breed evidence and information from Approved breed associations the overview is to introduce horse families appearing in cold-blooded breeds (Bohemian-Moravian belgic horse, noric horse and Selezian noric). In individual families all information about their (number of females in the family) are mentioned, according to efficiency tests. Investigation about background of horse breeders helps to gain broader view on cold-blooded horses breeding issue - from the point of viw of motivation, attraction and ambitions of breeders. The source is the serial about breeding codblooded horses written by Jindřiška Svobodová, published in magazine Jezdectví in 2015, entitled: ¨Serial about new generation¨ - which deals with an issue about horses sentenced to scanzens and archives for their redundancy. Results lead to conclusion and recommendation for breed activities of Approved breed association.
Evolution of a dog domestication and genetic diversity of the recent breeds.
Ungrová, Lenka ; Černá Bolfíková, Barbora (advisor) ; Vinkler, Michal (referee)
The origin, timing and the developement of the first stages of domestication are the most frequently studied topics within the evolutionary domestication. Even there are a lot of studies, there are also a lot question that have not been answered. Consequent processes are not less interesting. It is known that the first prototypes of dog breeds were formed much earlier before the first breeding clubs were established. We can say, that the first selection was for the type of work which should be carried by the dog, besides the selection for tameness. The next step of selection included selection for the specific phenotypic traits and often involved targeted hybridization between emerging breeds. Over the past 200 years, more than 400 breeds with a unique combination of traits were recognized. This thesis aims to map the emergence of modern breeds from a genetic point of view. Thesis also summarizes the effect of evolution and domestication on specific traits and genes and how they affected the genetic diversity of dog breeds.
