Function Generator with FITkit
Bartoš, Pavel ; Drábek, Vladimír (referee) ; Herrman, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deals with generation and detection of square, sine, triangle and saw-tooth waveforms using D/A converter of FITkit. Includes description of PS/2 communications protocol and description of LCD display.
Acceleration of Data Encryption Algorithms in FPGA
Gajdoš, Miroslav ; Kaštil, Jan (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work deals with the possibility of acceleration algorithm using reconfigurable FPGA circuits and speed of implementation by examining the difference compared to software implementation. The work describes the basics of encryption and acceleration algorithms on the FPGA. It then addresses the process of design, implementation, simulation and synthesis of the resulting implementation. It made analysis of the achieved solution. The aim of the project was to create a functional solution of accelerated algorithm, thus enabling its use in the real application and, finally, establishment of czech written material on this issue.
System with Model Servos
Jablonický, Jaroslav ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This work is focused on exploring how to control modeling servos by computers. It will also serve as an overview or a guide for beginners. The work includes the design of a simple robot, more precisely it is a simple robotic hand, but in particular it contains control designs from different platforms using different means. Finally, there are recommendations for each platform.
Warning System for Cars
Rusnačko, Ivan ; Henzl, Martin (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on usability of GPS modul as a warning system. Fitkit was chosen for the implementation of the given system. First part of thesis is focused on theory of GPS technology and NMEA protocol. Then, the Fitkit is analysed and underlying communication with GPS module. Also, there is an desktop application that fills up FitKit with points of interests. The implementation part of thesis is ended up with results of testing. Finally, there is a short proposal of possible extension of this thesis.
Thermometer for SW/HW Platform FITkit
Čižinský, Vojtěch ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The real progress in temperature measurement was made in 20th century. This specialization has since affected all domains of human doing and improved many of processes. This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a measuring module, which has to be plugged to a FITkit platform, and the implementation of the program, which communicates with the module. There will be a couple of various temperature sensors placed on the module, with various ways of the temperature presentation.
Implementation of Cryptographic Algorithms in FPGA
Foltýn, Tomáš ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes design and implementation of the AES cryptographic algorithm in FPGA. Design of this unit aims at compact size in exchange for lower throughput. Implemented unit is able of both ciphering and deciphering with user selected key. Resulting design was tested in ModelSim program and on FITkit development board with Spartan 3 family FPGA.
Program for Robotic Arm Controlling via Internet
Zbirovský, Jiří ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
Objective of this bachelor's thesis is propose and implementation, how could it be the robotics arm connected to the internet, to remote control it. Next point is propose and implementation aplication, which can control this robotics arm via internet. Others point concerned about technical parameters and which other types of servo-system can be used.
Hash Algorithms in FPGA
Novotňák, Jiří ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work is dealing with the implementation of MD5 hash algorithm in programmable FPGA circuit on FITkit education platform. Practical results of our effort primarily include two entities - one of them is responsible for a quick computation of MD5 algorithm while the other one handles the communication tasks between FITkit and host enviroment via RS232 link and SLIP-like protocol. The demonstration of the capabilities consists of a simple application, which transfers the given file to FITkit and displays the result of MD5 computation in the application window on PC. Brief evaluation and number of ideas for future improvements are given in the conclusion.
Robot Trilobot Control Using FITKit
Růžek, Michal ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is to design a robot Trilobot controller using a FITkit platform. It describes sensors and actuators widely used in mobile robotics. Part of the thesis is aimed to analyze in detail current Trilobot's peripherals, their conections and ways of communication. A circuit diagram of designed electronics is completed by the PCB design and description of small changes of the current Trilobot. The thesis also contains implementation of utility HW in the FPGA and a software library for a microcontroller. The finished control unit is tested by sort of demonstration applications.
Synchronization of Graphic Application Running on Two FITkits Simultaneously
Kaplan, Tomáš ; Tobola, Jiří (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes development application on platform FITkit. Development on mentioned platform amounts making configuration for programmable gate field (FPGA) by company Xilinx and program making for micro-controller by company Texas Instruments. Application have as one's task demonstrate synchronization of graphic application running on two FITkits simultaneously. Inter-device communication proceeds over serial line.
