Master’s thesis assesses the financial and economic situation of the joint-stock company Composite Components. There are theoretical aspects including financial, regression and correlation analysis in the first part of the thesis. Financial indicators are computed and then subjected to the mentioned analyses in order to get prognoses for following years. The created suggestions which are in the end of the thesis are based on the indicators and prognoses.

This bachelor’s thesis will deal with selected economic indicators LIVI company, spol. s.r.o. and subsequent application of statistical methods to these indicators in order to predict. The thesis consists of four main parts. Specification of the thesis, namely the development and evaluation of proposals, the creation of the calculation of economic indicators. Theoretical basis, especially financial data, regression analysis and time series analysis. Enterprise characteristics and by calculation of financial indicators of borrowed financial statements. Application of theoretical knowledge for its own calculations and draft recommendations. The output of this bachelor’s thesis will serve as a possible starting point in choosing strategic plans and compiling business objectives.

The diploma thesis is focused on the creation of a program enabling calculation of selected economic indicators of Arbela s.r.o. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part is a description of individual methods and procedures of financial analysis, description of principles of time series, and regression analysis. In the practical part, the program created to calculate the selected economic indicators of the company Arbela s.r.o. is presented. These indicators are subsequently evaluated and foreseeable development of the company is determined for the future. At the end of the thesis, solutions for possible improvement of the economic situation of the company can be found.

This paper is focused on the use of statistics tools, time series and regression analysis, the features and capabilities are used for analysis of selected indicators of a company. The aim is to assessment the economic situation in the company according to the results of analysis of selected economic indicators and prediction of future developments based on historical data using time series. This analysis will help company in future business decisions in the areas of strategy and planning. Part of the work is also creating a macros in Microsoft Excel, which are used for creating charts for the job.
