Water supply without a residual disinfectant
Rajnochová, Markéta ; Pikal, Martin (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the water distribution system functioning without chlorine-based disinfectant. This thesis contains research of documented cases of examples of drinking water distribution systems both abroad and in the Czech Republic, which do not use disinfectants. Moreover, the thesis pay attention to chlorine and its effects on bacteria. The thesis deals with the first assessment of water supply structure, which determines whether the water supply structure is suitable for operating without disinfectant. The thesis describes the process of transition to the disinfectant-free operation and determines the undesired events, which may occur with the ending of the use of disinfectant. As a part of the research, the thesis examines the water supply system in village Kateřinice, to determine if it is suitable for operation without disinfectant.
Project to extend water and sewer in the village Brandýsek
Petrová, Michaela ; Synáčková, Marcela (advisor) ; Renata, Renata (referee)
The thesis deals with the project phase of utility services within newly built family homes. Special attention is paid to the construction of sanitary sewers, water mains and rain water management in urban areas in context of the current legislation. The paper is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first part focuses on the means and facilities of utility services and on legislation regarding their proposed design and subsequent implementation. The second part concentrates on the construction of particularly selected networks in a specific project. It involves the emerge of new locations within undeveloped areas that closely adjoin the existing community. In this area we find not only a proposed sewerage treatment for wastewater but also water lines for the newly formed 14 building plots. Special attention is paid to the management of rainwater coming from public roads and sidewalks. The construction of the proposed utilities is economically evaluated in the budget costs calculated for building construction. The conclusion of this paper concentrates on the newly formed building plots that have been pre-engineered for connection to the relevant utilities.
Analysis of the water network development and utilization of water resources in and around Hradec Králové
Barborik, Lukáš ; Gdulová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Bašta, Petr (referee)
This thesis analyzes the use of water resources, development of water supply and water management structures since the 60s of the 20th century to the present day. Background materials provided on request by Vodovody a kanalizace Hradec Králové a.s. from their archives. The materials consist of text and map outputs from master plans of water supply network. For the analysis were created maps of water network in the years 1973, 1981, 1994 and 2010, whose underlying maps are digitized material from the period. As graphical output was used ArcMap program. The analysis assesses the development and future of drinking water resources, water network and water management structures and can serve as a starting point for a more detailed examination of historical events and developments in and around Hradec Králové.
Study of water and sewer Tuchoměřice - Pazderna
Šašek, Dominik ; Synáčková, Marcela (advisor) ; Michal, Michal (referee)
This thesis entitled Study of water and sewer Tuchoměřice Pazderna consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part will focus on the problems of small towns water supply and sanitation. For water supply, I will try my best to describe the history of water supply, pipe materials, water systems and other things associated with water pipes. U drainage will solve kinds of waste water, sewage systems, as well as materials and history and last special drainage. In the practical part will be for the design itself, water and sewer. It will be given localization of the village and by the characteristics of the territory. I will propose the concept of water supply to the population in the village and also a solution drains. These proposals will be evaluated and economically.
Rehabilitation of the water network and connections
Skryja, Marek ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis covers a rehabilitation of water networks and connections. This thesis includes informations related to this sector. The first part deals with the research of the issue. In the second part, the application of knowledges on the rehabilitation of selected portions of the water supply network.
Hydraulic analysis of the Hnojník water supply system
Nováková, Jana ; Tureček,, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is focused on hydraulic analysis of Hnojnik water supply system. The structure of this thesis is devided into several parts. The first part focuses on general hydraulic analysis, possibilities of using matematic modeling, and types of analysis that can be performed in a water network. Next section contains a list and brief characteristics of software tools used for hydraulic analysis. Attention is focused on the EPANET 2.0 which was used to build a model of Hnojnik water supply system. The last section describes the construction of the network model, input data used for modeling and evaluation od hydraulic analysis.
Pressure optimisation in the water-supply system of the Střelná village
Sucháček, Tomáš ; Valkovič,, Pavel (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This document aims on aplication of sophisticated software programs to accomplish hydraulic analysis of real water supply, design and optimization measures for improvement of pressure conditions in water network. In this work is stated a list and description of software enabling to accomplish static or longterm hydraulic analysis of water supply when the most world used program EPANET 2.0 is described more deeply. There is described working of a EPANET and his algorithm also there are explain principles on which EPANET is based. During the hydraulic analysis of real system was used sophisticated software EPANET 2.0. With this program was processed hydraulic analysis of chosen water supply system of small consumption area. Based on the results of analysis pressure conditions has been designed and optimized measure to improve pressure conditions in the water network.
Discoloration events in the water-supply networks
Janča, Štěpán ; Kocůr, Pavel (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize the available knowledge on the occurrence and formation of turbidity in the water supply system and the design and application of methodology for measuring the potential occurrence of turbidity in the water supply. Problems of the current state of the quality of drinking water in public water supply systems, with a focus on the occurrence of cataract formation turbidity legislative change indicators of drinking water in the Czech Republic and abroad, and potential methods of measuring turbidity is discribed in the first part of the thesis. In the second part of the paper is a methodology for measuring the potential of turbidity in the water supply network. The methodology is applied in the case study Hrbová pressure zone, which is part of the distribution network of city Vsetin. The case study of the thesis is a statistical analysis and mathematical model of consumption of pressure zone Hrbová.
Hydraulic analysis of the Brno - Bystrc water supply system
Hofmannová, Lenka ; Tauš, Miloslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the hydraulic analysis of water storage Brno – Bystrc. The structure is devided into three parts. The first part is devoted to the research of used and applied methods and all available software tools, especially to the EPANET 2.0 programme, which was used during solving of given issue. The thesis also deals with description of specific campaign, which is the integral part of conducted analysis, and with the very hydraulic analysis, process and with the interpretation of acquired results outcome. The last part is dedicated to methodology of determining of the hydraulic capacity in chosen selected hydrants, which are not primarily intended for the fire protection, in the view of the CSN 73 0873 - Fire protection of buildings- Equipment for fire-water supply.
Hydraulic analysis of small water supply system
Sucháček, Tomáš ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This document aims on aplication of sophisticated software programs to accomplish hydraulic analysis of real water supply. In this work is stated a list and description of software enabling to accomplish static or long-term hydraulic analysis of water supply when the most world used program EPANET 2.0 is described more deeply. There is described working of a EPANET and his algorithm also there are explain principles on which EPANET is based. During the hydraulic analysis of real system was used two sophisticated software it were MikeNet and EPANET 2.0. With using these two sophisticated programs was processed hydraulic analysis of chosen water supply of small consumption area, during this analysis was studied influence of method distribution node´s demand on achieved results also was created map of velocity in water pipeline. This work is first step for continuing Master´s thesis which will be using results of hydraulic analysis for create plan of elimination sludge in water supply.
