Progress in technology of mold milling with coated profile tools
Doležel, Ondřej ; Bumbálek, Bohumil (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is involved in possible development of different types of milling molds coated with modern plows. The first part is devoted to an analysis of contemporary trends in forms production technology. The analysis includes the different types of machines and tools for making various kinds of molds and dies. Another part deals with design of dies for sheet metal shears. The thesis continues by design of the production procedure after heat treatment and finishing die by miling. For milling of die are designed miling tools, the NC program and the possible development of manufacturing the die using a new machining center and the possibility of production optimization. The penultimate point of the thesis is technical and economical evaluation of the direction of development and comparison of positives and negatoves of each method. At the final evaluation is all summed up.
Aplication of Technology Wire Electrical Discharge Machining
Slouka, Radim ; Krkavec, Martin (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This master´s thesis focuses on the basic principles of the nonconventional technology of electrical discharge machining (EDM) with an emphasis on wire-cut electrical discharge machining performed in a mediumsized company. The thesis deals with manufacture of a belt pulley 75-8M-130, and checks of accuracy of wire-cut EDM machines. Following the study of the current status of electrical discharge machining in the engineering company, measures for assurance and increase of accuracy of wire-cut EDM machines are proposed.
Trends in use of non-conventional technology for electrical discharge machining.
Mouralová, Kateřina ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this dissertation are future trends of electrical discharge machining in conditions of a small tool factory. In the introduction is presented the theory of non-conventional machining. The practical part is focused on valuation the current level of electrical discharge machining, the importance of the use in a tool Nástrojárna Ryšavý. It also compares the level of leading global manufacturers of electrical discharge machines and future trends of electro-discharge technology.
Production of an Injection Mold.

This thesis is focused on a production of injection molds. It contains some analyses of the various parts of the injection molds, a description of their functions and the possibility of structural design. A summary of existing technologies for the production of these molds, their advantages and disadvantages is included. This thesis deals with design of the component parts for injection of plastics, strategy of machining and a simulation of machining.
Trend development of machine tools
Šenkýř, Pavel ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with trends of the development of machine tools, and focuses on technologies and machine tools for manufacturing of pressing dies and on manufacturing of cavity of moulds. First, the existing state in the field of these technologies is described and defined, and subsequently, the dissertation concentrates on modern conceptions of this manufacturing.
Wire electrical discharge machining at production of tools for working of wood
Sedláček, Jiří ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
My thesis is aimed at the application of wire electical discharge machining technology in the production of woodworking tools. All of this in the conditions of Vydona company. There is a theory of machining method plus a well-aranged division of cutter tools for wood in the introduction. The practical part describes in detail the procedur of cutting shaped plate out of tungsten carbide. As a result of the technical and at the same time the economic evaluation is an establishment of hourly rate for machine.
Wire electrical discharge machining at production of precise shears tools
Kuchařík, Milan ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
Work is focused on theoretic analisis of manufacturing precise shears tools by unconventional technology closely focused on wire electro discharge machining consideration operation costs of this metod. It is discribing development of this method, machines and tools for electrical discharge machining. It is mention facts influencing quality of cut surface during manufacturing of cutting tools, strategy of cutting workpiece, stage and quality of surface layer after WEDM as long with economic viewpoint and benefits of WEDM technology.
Utilization of electrodischarge machining technology
Dlabaja, Zdeněk ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is quite simple but very effective method for machining of materials. This method has an irreplaceable place in modern engineering. The technology of the EDM is theoretically described in this work. The aim of this work was to judge the advantages and disadvantages of this technology, and its application in a tool company Brenas, Ltd. A component typical for production using EDM was chosen for this judgement. The shape complicatedness and necessary dimensional and surface quality can be clearly seen in this component.
Wire electrical discharge machining
Gvizd, Michal ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
Bachelor thesis elaborated during the bachelor study discusses the electrical discharge cutting of materials with a wire electrode and its usage in industry. The thesis is divided into two fundamental parts –the theoretical and the experimental one. The theoretical part describes the historical development, explains the basic principle and fundamentals of this unconventional way of machining with the definition of methods using this technology. The thesis is focused on the electrical discharge machining, thus gougers are mentioned only peripherally. Afterwards, the wire electrodes used, main machine parts, cutting conditions and advantages of this technology are analyzed in detail. The experimental part deals with the evaluation of cutting surfaces of the sample components with respect to dimension accuracy, surface quality and describes factors which affect these characteristics. The emphasis is put on the machining of the tool steel. Conclusion discusses the analysis of the assembled measurements, their technological/economical analysis and outlines the direction of development in the possibilities of this unconventional technology of material separation.
