Centralizovaná správa aktivních prvků s využitím Software Defined Networking (SDN) a technologie OpenFlow, včetně zobrazení grafické topologie
TŮMA, Jan
The aim of this master thesis is to create a web-based graphical user interface which communicates with a Software Defined Controller and the OpenFlow protocol to provide a basic network management and a topology graph, then to describe main aspects of the OpenFlow technology and to optimalize the chosen SDN Controller for full support in a multi-vendor enviroment.
SDN Routing According to Transmitted Content
Gavryliuk, Olga ; Franková, Barbora (referee) ; Holkovič, Martin (advisor)
This works main point of focus is routing in software defined networks, which allow routing based on transfered packets. For accomplishing this task it was necessary to create a detection mechanism, that finds the connection within the OS which needs priority handling. New connections are sent via a routing aplication which is running on the SDN controller POX. The controller divides applications based on two criteria: The application requiring the largest bandwidth and the application requiring the fastest route. For this purpose four algorithms for routing data based on application preferences were designed and implemented. The applications were implemented in the Python language and they were tested in the simulation tool Mininet.
Cross-platform Software Defined Networking controller v multi-vendor prostředí
NEBÁZNIVÝ, Petr
This thesis deals with software defined network and with protocol which supports this technology. In the text bellow is a brief OpenFlow functionality description. Thesis also contains instructions on how to deploy OpenFlow controller which manages active network devices from different vendors and with different operating systems.
Network virtualization - software defined networks
Veselý, Marek ; Krkoš, Radko (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The aim of work is a new trend in network architecture, called Software defined networks. Describes function of controller as the main device, which controlling the whole network. Further the communication between switch and controller is here, which controlling protocol OpenFlow. First chapter gently deal with principe of the VLAN networking. Further it is much more oriented with software defined networks, where the main principe is described. Protocol OpenFlow is described in deatail, as his functions are discussed too. There are also advantages and disadvantages and possibility to use this network in university campus.
Applications Development for Software Defined Networks
Piska, Vojtěch ; Novotný, Bohumil (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
In this diploma thesis is described new network architecture also known as software defined networks. In first part of work are explained and described tasks of individual architecture layers. Work includes discussion about advantages and disadvantages of these networks. In next part is described OpenFlow protocol which allows to controller communicate with underlying hardware devices. Last part contains proposal of laboratory excercises which demonstrate SDN technology.
Cisco OnePK Technology Demonstration
Chomjak, Richard ; Švéda, Miroslav (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelors thesis aims to demonstrate the uses of Quality of Services (QoS) within Cisco onePK technology. The created prototype (Gosia) enables the dynamic direction of previously defined data on the basis of a simple configuration language. Individual changes in the direction of the data flow are derived from the state of the network infrastructure.
A Network Control Language for OpenFlow Networks
Antolík, Dávid ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to design and implement a high-level language for declarative configuration of Open-Flow networks. The compiler of the language, data model and interpreter were implemented employing Trema as the underlaying Open-Flow controller. The implementation was tested in a virtual network environment and it was shown that it is fully functional for basic network configurations.
Load Balancing in OpenFlow Networks
Marciniak, Petr ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Grégr, Matěj (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to develop a load balancing tool for OpenFlow networks. Software-defined networking (SDN) principles are introduced (OpenFlow protocol used as an example) and compared to the legacy routing and switching technology. Openflow is the first protocol/API enabling communication between the control and infrastructure planes of the software-defined networking model. Key features of the protocol are described and several OpenFlow controllers are introduced. Current best practices in computer networks load balancing are discussed as well. The load balancing application development process is described including the test laboratory setups - Mininet (SW) and OFELIA (HW). The application test results are evaluated and possible further enhancements to the program are discussed.
SDN Controlled According to User Identity
Holkovič, Martin ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
The aim of this work is to connect dynamic identity management system developed under the project Sec6Net with a control of SDN network. The controller Pyretic is used for network control, which allows application development by using the match-action rules. Interface between the identity management system and controller Pyretic is designed and implemented in both systems. To prove the concept, selected use cases related to security, routing and accounting are created. The use cases are implemented as applications for Pyretic controller. All programs were tested in networking laboratory according to the possibilities. The main contribution of this work is to simplify and improve the management of computer networks while providing new capabilities to administrators of these networks and ultimately their users.
Lawful Interception in Software Defined Networks
Franková, Barbora ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis covers utilization of software defined networks for lawful interception purposes. Based on specific implementation of lawful interception system SLIS developed by Sec6Net group, suggests improvements aiming at more precise identification of intercepted users and better effectivity of system resources. First aim is achieved by implementation of a new module for dynamic identification component while the other one alters configuration mechanism for probes and OpenFlow switches.
