Ability of Plants to Clean Soils Contaminated by Heavy Metals
Tlustoš, P. ; Punčochář, Miroslav ; Szaková, J. ; Balík, J. ; Habart, J. ; Šyc, Michal ; Pohořelý, Michael
The objective of our paper is to show ability of different plants and different growing strategies to extract metals from contaminated soils including soil properties suitable for acceptable soil phytoextraction.
Transport of cadmium ions across model supported phospholipid membranes
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Šestáková, Ivana ; Mareček, Vladimír ; Štulík, Karel
These results report on experiments focussed on the formation of supported model phospholipid membranes, formed from phosphatidyl choline in the micrometric pores of hydrophilic polycarbonate supports, their chatacterization using voltammetry and electrochemical impendance spectrometry (EIS). Attention was paid transport of heavy metal ions (ions of cadmium, etc.) across these membranes in the presence or absence of ionophores (valinomysing and calciomycin) or in the presence of oxalic acid. The impact of some parameters on these systems and processes was investigated.
Fluidized Bed Gasification of Flax used for Phytoextration of Heavy Metals
Pohořelý, Michael ; Šyc, Michal ; Jeremiáš, Michal ; Vosecký, Martin ; Kameníková, Petra ; Skoblia, Sergej ; Svoboda, Karel ; Punčochář, Miroslav
This study was aimed at determination of distribution of heavy metals among producer gas and individual size fractions of ash matter, i. e. bed ash and cyclone ash, formed in fluidized bed steam biomass gasification. Knowledge of distribution of heavy metals is necessary for further utilization of all products of the gasification.
STUDY OF ACCUMULATION AND TRANSPORT OF HEAVY METALS BY PLANT CULTURES OF POPULUS TREMULA X TREMULOIDES AND CANNABIS SATIVA IN LABORATORY CONDITIONS AND ON REAL LOCALITY
Benešová, Dagmar ; Soudek, Petr ; Petrová, Šárka ; Malá, J. ; Najman, M. ; Najmanová, P. ; Kafka, Z. ; Vaněk, Tomáš
In this research the cultures of hemp and aspen as a representative of herbs and woody species were selected. The experiments were focused on study of ability of plants to accumulated heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Zn, As a Cu) and translocated them to upper part of plants.
Leaching of Zn, Cd, Pb, a Cu from Penny-Cress (Thlaspi caerulescens) Used for Phytoremediation
Pohořelý, Michael ; Šyc, Michal ; Tlustoš, P. ; Habart, J. ; Punčochář, Miroslav
This work deals with decontamination technology – phytoextraction, which is used for decontamination of soil in-situ. Studied plant was penny-cress (Thlaspi caerulescens) that serves as hyperaccumulator of heavy metals.
Fuel Characteristics of Flax (Linum usitatissimum) Applied for Phytoremediation of Industrially Contaminated Sites
Šyc, Michal ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Toufarová, H. ; Žáčková, P. ; Punčochář, Miroslav
Expansion of energetic crops growing leads to the need of cultivation of soil that was not used so far. Flax as an energetic crop is possible to grow on insdustrially contaminated sites. Furthermore, heavy metals bioaccumulation ability of flax caused remediation of contaminated soils by moving them to phytomass. This phytoremediation method is called phytoextraction and it is one of the phytoremediation technologies. Fuel characteristics and usability of flax for selected heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, Hg, Cr, Ni, As) phytoextraction are presented in short-paper.
Elektrochemické stanovení metalothioneinu v transgenním tabáku
Křížková, S. ; Diopan, V. ; Baloun, J. ; Šupálková, V. ; Shestisvka, V. ; Kotrba, P. ; Macková, Martina ; Macek, Tomáš ; Havel, L. ; Adam, V. ; Zehnálek, J. ; Kizek, R.
Inspection of CUP1 content in selected tobacco lineages using electrochemical method optimized for its selective determination was described.
Geneticky modifikovaný len pro fytoremediaci těžkých kovů
Najmanová, J. ; Kotrba, P. ; Macek, Tomáš ; Macková, Martina
Engineering of flax to improve its metal tolerance and metal-accumulating capacity is described.
Rostlinný metabolismus chlorbenzoových kyselin – produktů degradace PCB
Vrchotová, Blanka ; Frančová, K. ; Macková, Martina ; Tříska, Jan ; Macek, Tomáš
Transformation of CBA using plant cells was tested and products formed in this process were idetified.
Phytoremediation of radionuclides and metals in soil and waste waters
Soudek, Petr ; Valenová, Šárka ; Plojhar, V. ; Vaněk, Tomáš
Heavy metals and radionuclides are not chemically degradable and possibility of their removing by in situ methods is limited. In the last years are increasingly used plants not only for biomonitoring, but also for remediation.
