Processes of segregation in urban areas and its impact on town administration

Bachelor thesis introduces the phenomenon of segregation which essentially falls into the category of worldwide social processes. For better understanding of the covered subject, particular terms which are directly or indirectly connected with segregation are explained. Thesis is divided into four chapters, covering both theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part describes segregation as an all-society phenomenon, including the reasons of its occurrence, classification and its impact as well. Another chapter of the theoretical part discusses segregation in the Czech Republic and more closely describes the occurrence and development of racial, residential and social segregation in the country. This chapter covers particular instruments used in the Czech Republic and evaluates its efficiency. Last but not least, thesis offers possible solutions applied in other European or Non -- European countries. Final chapter is dedicated to the practical part and observes the actual stage of segregation in the particular region in the Czech Republic, in the town of Svitavy. The aim of the thesis is to review the awareness of the Czech Republic in terms of the impact of segregation in future and analyse the existing politics in an effort to avoid segregation, reduce its impact or eliminate it.
Spatial planning in Spain

The aim of diploma thesis is to determine advantages and disadvantages of spatial planning in Spain in comparison with the system of regional and physical planning in the Czech Republic. First, there will be briefly carry out the socio-economic characteristics of Spain which will serve as a starting point to a better understanding of land use. In sequence to this characteristics will be carry out the first structural part of the thesis, i.e. complex and comprehensive characterization and evaluation of spatial planning in Spain which will be examined, both in term of historical development and in term of the legislative, institutional and economic aspects. Then, the thesis will focus on the specific spatial planning problems solved in concrete selected regions of Spain. There will be briefly characterized system of regional and physical planning in the Czech Republic. The last and fundamental part of the thesis will focus on identifying advantages and disadvantages of the system of regional and territorial planning in the Czech Republic and spatial planning in Spain.
Land use planning practices in Liberec

The bachelor's work is devoted to land use planning in Liberec. After theoretic introduction of the topic based on definitions, implications and conjuctions of land use planning, spatial development, strategic planning and regional policy I try to analyse socioekonomic, estate and land use charakteristics of town Liberec. The aim is to point out the most important specifics of town's lay out and asses the influence of land use plan, Construction Law, Strategy of town Liberec development in 2007-2020, community and decision making of authorities on features and aspekts of town area.
Spatial planning in Norway - its comparation with Czech Republic

The graduation thesis Spatial planning in Norway - the comparison with Czech Republic consists of description of spatial planning systems in Norway and Czech Republic. It focuses on differences between divided (regional and spatial planning) Czech system and integrated Norwegian model. The graduation thesis is divided into five parts. The first consists of basic terms, the second of socioeconomic analysis of Norway. Third and fourth part are describing Czech a Norwegian planning models. The main part of the graduation thesis is the part in which are define deuces, differences, advantages and disadvantages of spatial planning in Norway in comparison with the divided Czech model.
The importance of the system of EIA for the needs of spatial planning.

The diploma thesis consists of three parts. In the first part the problematics of the EIA process is explained and basic data and statitistics for the years 2003 to 2007 is mentioned with respect to the legislative changes in 2006 and 2007. The statistics include i.e. the total number of the projects assessed in individual years, number of the projects assessed by The Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic and regional authorities. Furthermore there are quantified individual projects coming under individual regions, respecting the division into individual industrial branches. Part two deals with the problematics of landscape planning --definiton, tools, targets, legislation and authorities in charge with landscape planning. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the importance of the system of EIA for the needs of spatial planning. There are shown the benefits of EIA for landscape development. Moreover there is distinguishing of EIA for individual projects and for spatial conceptions.
Land-use planning and it's present practices in Czech republic - village Odrava as an example

This bachelor work is concerned with the land-use planning and it's present practices in Czech republic. To foreshadow the contemporary practicising in the land-use planning we have used a small west-bohemian village Odrava as an example, where the land-use plan is processing by own suggestion. Besides the preparation process and the authorization of the land-use planning documents, a problem of the new building act number 183/2006 in comparison to an old building act number 50/1976 is foreshadowed here.
TOWN COUTNRY PLANNING ACCORDING TO THE NEW BULDING ACT AND IN COMAPRISION WITH OLD BUILDING ACT

Bachelor's work is analysis of Act 183/2006 Coll., on town country planning and building code (Building Act), that passed in March 14, 2006. I also describe the differences in comparison with previous Act 50/1976 Coll., on town country planning and building code (Building Act) and possible impact on town country planning in the Czech Republic. In first, theoretical, part of my bachelor's work I analyse the new Building Act, where I refer to the changes, that occured comparing to the old Bulding Act. In the second, practical, part I will engage in the concrete case of the changes in the town country plan according to the new Bulding Act in Česká Lípa. Here I would like to show the differences in the process of passing according to the old and new Building Acts and also show the impact that this change has on all touched subjects. At the same time I want to support my conclusions by the opinions of the specialists. The result of my work will be evaluation of the development of the town country planning and its influence on the residents of the town.

The graduation theses Spatial planning in Denmark and its comparation with the processes in the Czech Republic describes the systems of the spatial planning in both countries. Preliminary detail a main factors influencing the spatial planning of the territory of the both lands. The main issue of the graduation theses is focusing on Denmark and its detailed characterization how the planning authorities prepare a development plans and carry out whole development strategies in Denmark. At the end compares a spatial planning of Denmark and regional policy and policy of physical planning of the Czech Republic.
SUBURBANIZAČNÍ TENDENCE A PROCESY V ZÁZEMÍ HLAVNÍHO MĚSTA PRAHY NA PŘÍKLADU KLADENSKA

Po změně politického režimu v roce 1989 se všechna velkoměsta České republiky potýkají s novým, pro nás neznámým, fenoménem v rozmístění bydlení obyvatelstva ? se suburbanizací. Obyvatelé velkoměst se ve velkém měřítku stěhují do jejich zázemí. V zázemí se začíná nekontrolovatelně rozvíjet výstavba rodinných domů. Tímto procesem již prošla většina velkoměst v západní Evropě a v USA. Neregulovaný a nekontrolovaný rozvoj suburbanizačního procesu má dalekosáhlé důsledky na velkoměsto, okolní menší sídla a volnou krajinu. Autorka se zaměřuje na průběh rezidenční suburbanizace hlavního města Prahy, na faktory, které ovlivnily suburbánní rozvoj a jeho negativní i pozitivní dopady v daném území. Soustředí se na rozvoj nové výstavby v několika obcích na Kladensku. Bude analyzovat dopad suburbanizace na rozvoj a stabilitu malých sídel v zázemí velkého města.

Pořadatelům konference dal autor k disposici rozsáhlé písemné podklady, které pořadatelé využili pro článek v časopisu Urbanismus a územní plánování, vydávaný Terplan Praha. Autor v té době působil jako jednatel ProURBA s.r.o. a jako konsultant pro životní prostředí a urbanismus, zejm. v konceptech územně plánovacích dokumentů.
