Media issues in the Czech cultural and social science journals of the 19th century.

This thesis deals with media issues and its reflection on Czech cultural and social science journals of the 19th century. The first part focuses on the problems of printing in the 19th century and chosen personalities of this time. The second part deals with the magazines Čas, Osvěta, Naše doba, Ruch and Lumír. The goal of the work is to provide an overview of the theoretical views on the media, as they were published in these journals. It will be based on a content and comparative analysis. The thesis also shows how the media was described and what was the role of the media in the 19th century society. The proposal to include the mentioned topic in media education lessons in primary school will be introduced in the final part of this thesis.
The Conception of Time in Virginia Woolf´s Works

This bachelor thesis is focused on the conception of time in Virginia Woolf's works. This phenomenon is mainly described and analysed in the novels Mrs Dalloway and To the Lighthouse, but the minor part of the thesis is devoted to the short story "The Mark on the Wall" and the essay "Mr Bennett and Mrs Brown." The aim of the thesis is to depict the way Woolf works with time, to suggest that her time conception may be applied to the majority of her works, and that it is closely related to the scientific, artistic and philosophical context of the turn of the 20th century.
E-learning course of the use of computer algebra systems in mathematics education

This thesis deals with the topic of Computer Algebraic Systems (i.e. CAS). Its first part analyses and compares the freely available CAS programs regarding both the propects of development and user suitability of this particular application for a secondary school or a university (i.e. bachelor) student. The second part of the thesis concerns with certain theoretical points that are subsequently followed by more practical ones where the main objective is to propose and to put into practice individual course components, including the preparation of a~specific working environment which the course would be implemented in. The third (i.e last) part describes and accounts for particular selections made during the outline and realization of the e-learning course.
The influence of project based learning on students' attitudes to instruction

The dissertation is focused on changes in an attitude and initiative students at secondary special school with gastronomy orientation to study special subjects after realization a creative project: "Welcome Day - Day of Open Door - Halloween." The target group are students of Secondary School and College for Tourist Industry in České Budějovice. The dissertation is divided into fifth chapters. I the first two chapters different opinions of experts in teaching methods, classical and alternative methods of education and teaching, teachers competence and authority participation, experimental education are compared. The thirds chapter contains proposals for topics of project learning in schools with gastronomy orientation. There is an enumeration of folk traditions and their connection with the culture and gastronomy. The fourth chapter describes the project realization in Secondary School and College for Tourist Industry in České Budějovice. The fifth chapter contains the research targets, the research methods and interpretation of research results. The target of the dissertation is questionnaire comparison of students' attitudes after realization the project learning. The research assumptions are that students appreciate extension special subjects of folk traditions and do not reject to participation in the pro?ject realization.
Time and Space in Fantasy

This work focuses on the representation of the narrative categories of time and space in the fantasy literature's pieces. It delineates the sub-genres of fantasy and describes the particularities of the genre. The prominent pieces of the fantasy genre are used to demonstrate the established knowledge. There is a conclusion of the differences between the representation of the space-time facts in the fantasy genre and the other genres in the final part of the work.
Money, Time and Information: An Austrian Approach

Thesis "Money, Time and Information: An Austrian Approach" presents analysis on theory of money through classic view of Austrian economics which is combined with mutual dependence of system complexity, time and information. Money are considered as market emergent phenomena and therefore as its basic element. Spontaneous processes leads into origin of complex economic structures which are not static, but in constant evolution. Emerging complexity makes reduction of economic phenomena to aggregates or index numbers impossible. It is therefore important to comprehend these problems in context of structure and time in which structural change come into existence. This thesis emphasizes relation of money to informational and intertemporal role of prices and interest rate. This approach is then applied to possibility of monetary and regulatory policy to perceive all those complex interdependencies.
Usage of time management tools in practice

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the available time management tools to evaluate the market and that are used in practice and most popular. The first part describes the existing principles of time and perception of time in terms of individuals and groups. A separate subsection is devoted to defining the concept of time management and description of the generations of time management. The second part is no longer specifically mentioned time management tools available on the Czech market. They are divided into two categories, and the devices used to control the time and the methods and principles of time management. The third part focuses on the evaluation questionnaires, which aimed to determine the use and popularity of time management tools. Specific findings and evaluation are summarized in the final part of the work.
One Time Passwords

This Bachelor thesis describes the one-time passwords and their various implementation possibilities. The one-time passwords are passwords, which are valid only for one login or transaction. In contrast to regular passwords, one-time passwords are immune against reply attacks, which means that if a possible attacker eavedroppes the used password, he cannot exploit it, because it is not valid anymore. The theoretical section of the thesis explains the reasons for using one-time passwords and demonstrates some particular OTP systems. The practical section shows two different examples of using open-source OTP systems. The first one describes the use of OTPasswd for authentication to a server over SSH, the other one uses MultiOTP PHP class for authentication to a web application.
Microfinance

The bachelor thesis parses the topic of microfinance. It provides information about the history and development of microfinance, as well as the emergence of different social attitudes and schools of thought. Also depicts the process of microfinance, from the investment decision, through the consumption of microcredit by an actual client, to final investment revenue. The thesis defines all the subjects involved in this process and describes the procedure. The analysis also refers about problems connected with microfinance, emphasizing lack of regulation and non-existing standards. The final part of the study offers possible solution of the situation, designed to lower costs of microfinance and at the same time higher it's reputation among public.
