Detection of Correlated Mutations
Ižák, Tomáš ; Bendl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Martínek, Tomáš (advisor)
Tato práce zkoumá existující možnosti a metody detekce korelovaných mutací v proteinech. Práce začíná teoretickým úvodem do zkoumané problematiky. Výsledky detekce byly porovnány s nástroji CAPS, CRASP a CMAT.
Implementation of Statistical Compression Methods
Beněk, Tomáš ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the statistical compression methods. This work describes basic theoretical introduction to the data compression and the most important representatives of statistical methods. There is also described compression process based on the Burrows-Wheeler algorithm, which is implemented in the form of portable library in C++ programming language. This work compares effectiveness of each method on suitable data corpus, which contains various data types and according to achieved results discusses suitability of usage of methods and possible improvements.
Detection of Network Anomalies Based on NetFlow Data
Czudek, Marek ; Bartoš, Václav (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes the use of NetFlow data in the systems for detection of disruptions or anomalies in computer network traffic. Various methods for network data collection are described, focusing especially on the NetFlow protocol. Further, various methods for anomaly detection  in network traffic are discussed and evaluated, and their advantages as well as disadvantages are listed. Based on this analysis one method is chosen. Further, test data set is analyzed using the method. Algorithm for real-time network traffic anomaly detection is designed based on the analysis outcomes. This method was chosen mainly because it enables detection of anomalies even in an unlabelled network traffic. The last part of the thesis describes implementation of the  algorithm, as well as experiments performed using the resulting  application on real NetFlow data.
Statistical methods for evaluation of sensorial data
Kozielová, Magda ; Kříž, Oldřich (referee) ; Michálek, Jaroslav (advisor)
\par The thesis deals with the statistical evaluation of data gained by the sensory analysis of the foodstuff. It brings a selection of the suitable statistical tests, a detailed analysis of these tests and their comparision based on the particular power functions for given parameters. As an important part of the thesis, there is a creating of custom software for the evaluating of sensorial data.
Use of Statistical Methods for Assessment of the Financial Company Performance
Dvořák, Václav ; Štěpánková, Vladěna (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of statistical methods in practice. From the field of statistics is the work of regression analysis and time series analysis, which brought to a critical assessment of the financial situation of the company HELIX Liberec, s.r.o. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part focuses on explanations of important terms of statistical and financial analyzes that are subsequently applied in the practical part. Finally, the practical part are assessed and proposals to improve the economic situation.

Use of Time Series for Technical Analysis of Shares
Hela, Michael ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the analysis of selected rates of shares by using statistical methods including regression analysis and analysis of time series. Using moving averages as technical indicators in technical analysis of securities to predict the future development of rates of shares and finding buy and sell signals that these indicators generate. The results of this work are suggestions for stock trading based on the use of these methods.
