Indicators of financial health of the company

The objective of the dissertation is confrontation of influence of different methodics on the financial health of a company on ranking of a company. Selected models of financial health classify the file of 149 agricultural companies. Particular task is to determine 5 agricultural companies with the best indicator of financial health and 5 companies with the worst indicator. At this chosen file of five best and five worst companies is subsequently evaluated rate of weighted factors on the overall value of financial health. At the same time the influence of one and two indicators on the overall financial health of a company is analysed. Ascertained results are processed/compiled in the form of charts and are verbally commented.

The content of this bachelor thesis is to undertake a financial analysis of COM-TIP,s.r.o. for the years 2007 and 2008. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the financial analysis in general, its object and purpose, sources of information, users, methods and individual indicators. This theoretical knowledge is applied on particular company COM-TIP, s.r.o. in practical part, which provides an analysis of accounts, indicators of profitability, liquidity and solvency. Finally, I appraise the financial health of the firm based on scoring model. The conclusion summarizes all information obtained as evaluating the overall financial situation.

The assignment is focused on financial analysis of the Saint-Gobain Vertex ltd. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with characteristic and description of the purpose, methods and basic spheres of financial analysis. The second part consists of a particular financial analysis based on essential financial statements of the Saint-Gobain Vertex ltd. in time 2004 - 2008. The conclusion summarizes the financial analysis and also suggests useful solution for successful improvement of the contemporary financial situation of the company.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the financial health of the company Buzuluk, a.s. by using financial analysis. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on data source, methods and selected indicators of financial analysis. In the practical part, the knowledge is applied to a specific chosen company. A short company presentation is followed by analysis of the basic parts by using the financial statements for the period 2007 -- 2009. The conclusion summarizes the results and recommends measures to improve the situation in the future.

The financial analysis of the firm

The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part concerns with a theory which is bound up with a financial analysis, especially with financial statements, methods of the financial analysis, ratio indicators. Next, there are theoretically described bankruptcy and bonit models (Altman Z-score, Index IN95, Kralicek Quicktest) in the same part. The second part of the bachelor thesis is practical and is devoted to the SWOT analysis and financial analysis of the firm dm-drogerie markt, s. r. o., based on annual statements 2006, 2007, 2008. In the end of the thesis, the financial situation and the financial health of the firm is evaluated.

Use of accounting information in the financial analysis

The description of the methods which are suitable for the evaluation of the financial position of a company with utilization of processes and instruments of the financial analysis creates the theoretical base of this diploma thesis. There is the description and analysis of the financial statements constructed according to the Czech rules and according to the International financial reporting standards IAS/IFRS. The financial statements present one of the possible resources of information suitable for financial analysis. The instruments, the methods and the processes of the financial analysis are applied for the analysis of the company ČEZ, a.s. in the practical part of this thesis. The analysis should evaluate the history and the present condition of the financial position of this company. In the conclusion of this thesis there is summary of the financial situation of the company ČEZ, a.s. based on the outcomes of the financial analysis.

Financial analysis and its application in practice

Financial analysis is one of the most important areas of financial planning. In the introductory part of this thesis is therefore concerned with its meaning. Then I focus on the sources from which financial analysis draws - Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, Notes to the financial statements and Annual Report. The next part describes the various methods used in financial analysis, particularly focusing on ratio indicators, analysis of indicators of status, solvent and bankruptcy models. For the practical part, I chose the brewery Budweiser Budvar n.p., to which I apply these different methods.

Application of comprehensive business evaluation methods on a particular company

The graduation thesis deals with known creditworthy and bankruptcy models originated in Czech republic and abroad and also with two non-financial models. The methods are first described in a theoretical part with the aim of understanding their principles, advantages and disadvantages. In a practical part the methods are applied on a machinery company which was seriously affected by global economic crisis. The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the development through years of the company's general financial health, reveal strong and weak points of the firm and compare results of the methods.
