Impact of drought on drinking water supply
Bergerová, Marie ; Sucháček, Tomáš (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of water age in the distribution system of drinking water supply. Various scenarios were simulated, which represented a reduction in water consumption due to the replacement of part of drinking water with rainwater. In first part, various definitions of drought and possible effects of drought are presented. The second part is focused on the consumption of water from the water supply network. The uses of drinking water in the household are defined here, but also an indication is included which household activities do not need to use drinking water, which can be replaced with rainwater. The practical part describes an analysis of water age. Not only was the analysis processed for different scenarios, these scenarios were also compared for different times of the year, including the annual average, the summer period (July, August) and the winter period (January, February). The analysis was performed using the Epanet 2.0 software program. In processing the results of the water age analysis, the relationship between water age, velocity, flow rate and pressure ratios were evaluted.
Hydraulic analysis of the water supply network of the municipality of Ostopovice
Jaroš, Zdeněk ; Sucháček, Tomáš (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The theses focuses on a hydraulic analysis of a water supply network of a village called Ostopovice, located in South Moravia. Theses presents a detailed quasi-dynamic hydraulic simulation of the water supply network based on own consumer field survey. Subsequently, the assembled model was calibrated and verified by hydraulic data measured on the water supply network. The model was made to simulate characteristic water supply system operating conditions. Using the hydraulic analysis results, the theses assesses network pressure conditions with regards to the existing building range and type, taking into the account the extent of expected house development of the area. The work concludes with a proposition for measures leading to the water supply network pressure conditions optimization.
Impact of pressure condition on water consuption in water distribution network
Straňák, Petr ; Sucháček, Tomáš (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with effect of pressure conditions in the water supply network on consumption of drinking water. The introductory part describes how pressures affect water consumption and six studies from different countries carried out on real network are presented. Further, the work is devoted to other factors influencing water consumption and distribution of domestic water consumption. The practical part deals with the laboratory measurement of the influence of pressure change on tested discharge fittings for flowing and dripping water. The results are also expressed in annual costs and a method is presented how the effect of pressure change can be quantified if we know the average daily consumption and its distribution.
Optimization of the Water Supply Network of Počátky Town
Pavelka, David ; Netušil, Lukáš (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the optimization of water supply system in the town of Počátky. It describes the process of creating a mathematical model needed for the hydraulic analysis, which was used to assess the water supply system Počátky. This thesis task is to apprise reader, with a basic distribution in the drinking water supply, how to proceed in collecting data on hydraulic analysis requirements and using tools and means used in hydraulic analysis. Conclusions are processed variants for possible optimization of water supply system Počátky.
Discoloration events in the water-supply networks
Janča, Štěpán ; Kocůr, Pavel (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize the available knowledge on the occurrence and formation of turbidity in the water supply system and the design and application of methodology for measuring the potential occurrence of turbidity in the water supply. Problems of the current state of the quality of drinking water in public water supply systems, with a focus on the occurrence of cataract formation turbidity legislative change indicators of drinking water in the Czech Republic and abroad, and potential methods of measuring turbidity is discribed in the first part of the thesis. In the second part of the paper is a methodology for measuring the potential of turbidity in the water supply network. The methodology is applied in the case study Hrbová pressure zone, which is part of the distribution network of city Vsetin. The case study of the thesis is a statistical analysis and mathematical model of consumption of pressure zone Hrbová.
The Assessment of the Local Water Supply Vohančice
Sovák, Zdeněk ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the municipal water supply system of Vohančice. It describes the current state of water supply, which is used to create a hydraulic model of the water supply network. The thesis focuses on the pressure and flow conditions of not only the current water distribution network but also the future planned extensions. Finally, options for measures for possible optimization of the water supply network are developed.
Assessment of pressure conditions in the water supply network of the municipality of Ústí
Kuchař, Jakub ; Rajnochová, Markéta (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the hydraulic analysis of the water supply network of the municipalities of Ústí, Skalička and the settlement of Kamenec. The village is located in the Přerov district. The first chapter describes the theory of mathematical modeling and the basic relationships for calculation in pressure pipe systems. A quasi-dynamic hydraulic model of the entire area was created from the measured pressure values of the water supply network. The assessed values were displayed in the EPANET 2.2 simulation program. With regard to the character of the development in the municipalities, the pressure conditions in the area were assessed using the result. The last part of the work is dedicated to proposing measures to optimize pressure conditions and the resulting impact on the territory.
Hydraulic analysis of the Damnice water supply system
Bergerová, Marie ; Kopecký, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with hydraulic analysis of the proposed concept of connecting the Damnice group water supply systém to the Znojmo group water supply system. In firt part, the issue of drought and the related threat to the supply of drinking water are presented. The second part is focused on the basics of mathematical water supply network modelling and software program EPANET 2.2 used for modelling is described. In the practical part, the focus area is characterised and the process of building the model in EPANT 2.2 is clarified. A hydraulic analysis was processed for simulating four variants that represented the connection of different count of unicipalities to the proposed group water supply system. For individual variants, the optimal pipe dimension of the main supply pipe as well as the branching water pipes along the route were sought. In processing the results of the hydraulic analysis, pressure ratios, flow rates, water age in the water supply network and the reserve capacities of the water tanks were assessed.
Assessment of pressure conditions in the water supply network of the village Poličná
Zuzaňák, René ; Libosvár, Dušan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is devoted to the hydraulic analysis of the water supply network in the municipality of Poličná, Vsetín district. The introductory part of the thesis is devoted to the theory of mathematical modelling of the water supply network. A quasi-dynamic hydraulic model of the entire water supply network was created to determine the pressure conditions of the water supply network and then calibrated and verified based on the pressure measurements on the water supply network. The characteristic operating conditions of the water supply network were reflected in the simulation model of EPANET 2.2. Following the existing scale and type of development given by the current zoning plan of the municipality of Poličná, the pressure conditions on the water supply network of the municipality of Poličná were assessed using the results of the hydraulic analysis. The thesis includes proposed measures to optimize the pressure conditions for the prospective scale of development.
