Measuring the flexibility of vehicle suspension components
Gadas, Petr ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Míša, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes suspension kinematics and elastokinematics of vehicle axles, contains the design and manufacturing method of a jig, designed to measure kinematic complience of each suspension assembly, and deals with the measuring process and data evaluation. The goal is to measure the stiffness behaviour of suspension components of a Formula Student car Dragon X and to assign it to a multi-body software suspension model, which will result in a more detailed vehicle model, to achieve simulations that are closer to reality.
Solution of Gear Drive for Camshaft
Barvík, Rostislav ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
For dimensions of crankshaft drive Zetor engine, which is solve by a helical gear drive will be created a dynamic model in MBS (multi body system) and perform analyses. The same way will be created a dynamic model for a spur gear system. In conclusion will be confrontation both of these drive solutions.
Turbocharger Rotors using Rolling Bearings
Šárovec, Marek ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to design turbocharger rotor using rolling element bearings. The diploma thesis is compiled from two specialized search parts dealing with turbocharger rotor and rolling element bearing computation, respectively. The application of the particular rotor using the multi body system Adams – View is described in the following chapter. In the last chapter, one can find the comparison between rotor using bearing with steal and hybrid ceramic rolling element. Also, there is compariosn between rolling element bearing and journal bearing. In the maximum rotor speed, the decrease of more than 50 % in power loss, due to usage of rolling element bearing, resulted from this comparison.
Tubular Skid Holder of Skoda Fabia Super 2000 Rally Car
Ondruch, Marek ; Žlebek, Jindřich (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis “Tubular Skid Holder of Skoda Fabia Super 2000 Rally Car” is aimed to engineering design of tubular skid holder of rally car Skoda Fabia Super 2000. There is used FEM software for analysis s evaluation of current variant and following variants of engineering design. The most relevant final variant design, which is consistent with asked stiffness and reduction of weight, was chosen based on findings.
Analysis of the structure for the effects of earthquakes
Švejcar, Martin ; Martinásek, Josef (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This master thesis deals with analysis of a selected construction subjected to a seismic load. In the Dlubal RFEM programme, a basic model was created and analyzed with the spectral analysis using response spectra and with the time analysis using accelerograms from the database of the programme. The outcomes from these analyses were compared. Subsequently, the same calculations were performed on modified models and the results of the internal forces and deformations of the structure were compared with the outputs obtained on the original basic model.
Simulation of Idiofonic System
Múčka, Martin ; Keršner, Zbyněk (referee) ; Frantík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with dynamic simulation of real bell behavior over time. The model is created according to principles of physical discretization as a spring in the FyDiK3D software. In order for the model to be declared as relevant, it is necessary to prove the behavior of the structures used in the elementary tasks of the mechanics. It shows the correlation between the stiffness of normal and diagonal springs. Describes how to use software import tools to create a model. The resulting model approaches its real bell behavior.
Use of polymers in road constructions
Klusková, Jana ; Komenda, Radek (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the use of recycled polymers in asphalt mixtures. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is discussed the global issue of plastic waste including the experience of foreign countries, where this technology has already been introducted and used. The practical part is devoted to the proposal of using recycled plastic in asphalt mixture, description of used laboratory tests and the evaluating the effect of low-density polyethylen (LDPE) on the asphalt mixture type AC. There were performed tensile strenght tests, water resistant tests and stiffness modulus tests in the laboratory (E). The output of this work is an evaluation of measured values, processing of results and their interpretation depending on the possible use of this technology in Czech republic.
Resistance of the roof structure loaded with photovoltaic panels
Holoubek, Jan ; Bažant,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to verify the resistance of the roof structure loaded with photovoltaic panels. On the roof of industrial building of rectangular plan with dimensions of 26,5 x 24,5 m in Hlinsko, the investor decided to install photovoltaic panels. Preliminary diagnostic survey showed only flexural reinforcement in the field of all considered load-bearing elements. Bending strength was assessed by these structural elements: reinforced concrete slab, reinforced concrete beam, reinforced concrete grinder. Static calculation includes a minimum reinforcement of support and necessary shear reinforcement, which must be demonstrated by a detailed diagnostic survey. The structural analysis includes the assessment of reinforced concrete beam deflection after loading. All assessments were performed according to currently valid Eurocodes. The calculation showed that all supporting elements meet the bending resistance and deflection of the beam is smaller than the limit value laid down in the EC, so the roof of the hall can be loaded with photovoltaic panels.
Correlation analysis of optically trapped particle motion
Koudelníček, Karel ; Jákl,, Petr (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the description of random (Brownian) motion of microscopic particle trapped by optical trap. This thesis provides overview of possible usage in biology. The major part of the thesis is dedicated to description of methods that allow characterize optical trap with etc. stiffness thanks to the random motion. First, the estimation methods are tested on the simulated data. Before using these methods for real data, it was necessary to modify them, specifically to eliminate crosstalk and frequency noise. The differences in the estimation of the stiffness from the autocorrelation function and the power spectrum were described in the conclusion.
Measurement of torsion bars and stabilizers
Bláha, David ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the measurement of the anti-roll bar characteristics. The target of this thesis is to design a device for measuring of torsional stiffness of the automobile stabilizer bars, design a measuring sequence for detection values subsequently used to calculate the stiffness, and calculate the total measuring error. The measuring device is designed for the needs of the Institute of Automotive Engineering of FME BUT.
