Development of laboratory exercises for subject the Signals and systems analysis
Doleček, Josef ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Zvončák, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with basic operation with signals and, using demonstrative applications in Matlab, it should explain these operation to CASS (Signals and Systems Analysis) students. In the theory part continuous-time signals (signals classification, periodic signals, Fourier series), complex numbers, sampling and discrete-time signals (operation of convolution and correlation) are described. Practical applications explain: square signal harmonics synthesis, two discrete-time signals convolution and cross-correlation, object distance detection by radar using cross-correlation, complex model of harmonic signal and signals sampling.
Analysis of the impact of subliminal signals and priming effect in information processing
Šafránek, Vojtěch ; Fonferová, Ľudmila (advisor) ; Čadil, Jan (referee)
The work is about possibilities of subliminal influence on the human mind. The first section explains the basic concepts of cognitive psychology, which is related to subliminal perception, threshold of consciousness and sensory threshold, with regard to the theme. In subsequent chapters is explained the operation of subliminal perception, subliminal stimuli are primarily divided into audible and visual. These are followed by a list and description of experiments and examples from practice and everyday life from ancient Greece to the present. The next chapter is about priming and examples of its use. After the principle of subliminal advertising and product placement is described and their place in legislation in the Czech republic; everything is documented by many examples. At the end of the work, the author demurs to the overall situation and tries to evaluate it.
Factors affecting perception of human male body
Třebický, Vít ; Havlíček, Jan (advisor) ; Pivoňková, Věra (referee)
According to previous research physical attractiveness plays an important role in our everyday life. People are treated differently on the basis of their physical appearance and from an evolutionary point of view physical attractiveness is a key factor in mate selection, being a cue of an individual's mate value and genetic qualities. Research shows that the highest attractiveness ratings tend to be given to physiques with a higher level of development of lean muscle mass and a V shaped upper body. Such a physique body constitution could indicates how a high level of physical fitness and a man's health of man and be a cue of the man's qualities as a mating partner. However, results of the previous studies are inconclusive due to the methods and stimuli employed. To address the shortcomings exhibited by the previous studies investigations, we ran two online studies. In the first study, women rated the attractiveness of a new and more extensive set of black and gray silhouettes derived from photos of the somatotypes. In the second study, we tested whether physical attractiveness of men can be increased by a voluntary change of their upper body shape. In both studies we were testing how interindividual differences of the female raters modulate the ratings of attractiveness. Results of the first study...
Device for demonstration of line coding
Navrátil, Marek ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis aims proposal and implementation of laboratory equipment for generating Line codes. The theoretical part describes digital transmission of information and the individual Line codes. The practical part deals with the design and subsequent implementation of the entire device. The results of this works are the theme of device an apparatus for printed circuit boards, software for microcontroller measurement and results.
Computer tasks for subject Signals and Systems
Šimčík, Patrik ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
The content of this work is the design and implementation of tasks using MATLAB programming. These tasks are designed to describe and help the student understand some topics in the field of continuous and discrete signals and systems, which are presented in the subject of Signals and Systems at the Faculty of electrical engineering and communication technologies. From the theme of continuous signals are in this work outlined these problematic areas: analysis of periodic and aperiodic functions, continuous systems and from the theme of discrete signals are selected areas: analysis of discrete signals and discrete systems of first and second order. In the practical part the realization itself is described using a graphical user interface (GUI).
Editor for VHDL Language
Balaš, Filip ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kajan, Michal (advisor)
This work describes design and development of editor for VHDL language, which allows to work with graphical representation of circuit, with which is possible make changes in connections of components and their hierarchy. The changes in in the graphical representation are reflected to the source code. This work also describes basics of VHDL code structure and some constructs of this language.
Signal processing and receiving in UMTS system
Hron, Michal ; Hanus, Stanislav (referee) ; Kejík, Petr (advisor)
This semestral thesis be concerned with datailed analysis of receiving and processing signals in UMTS network system. Insistence of this work is setting to principals of RAKE receiver and processing signals in CDMA networks downlink channel. Through development system MATLAB simulates real function of RAKE receiver. This project is giving fundamental knowledges about receiving and processing of multipath signals to readers.
Autocalibration of Vibration Sensors
Macháčková, Petra ; Vdoleček, František (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
The main objective of this thesis is presentation of various features of technical diagnostics, such as autodiagnostics and autocalibration. Thesis describes ways to diagnostics of rotocure, presents various types of sensors used in vibrodiagnostics and shows possibilities for their calibration. This work also contains information about automatic calibration of external influences, which affect sensor characteristics.
Speed Increasing for Track Section Tábor - Milevsko
Křemen, Tomáš ; Trejtnar, Radek (referee) ; Svoboda, Richard (advisor)
The work deals with exploring the possibilities of increasing speed for the Tábor - Milevsko railway section. Speed increasing is considered with sequence to perspective train traffic diagram. The final solution is designed to maximize efficiency of expending funds. In the result is brought into account the speed limit on railway crossings, signals, etc.
Analýza vstupních a výstupních signálů aplikovaná na futures trhy
Vandas, Martin ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is based on creating a simple speculation strategy applied for futures markets. The first part of this work describes futures contracts, characteristics of subjects who trade with them and risks connected with futures trading. The next parts present entry and exit signals of modelled trading strategy and their effects on the final measured results. The goal of this work is to find out, which part of the process of creating strategies is more important and whether the combination of both ensures better trading results, concerning other important factors.
