Mountain hotel in Králíky
Hoffmannová, Zdislava ; Buchta, Stanislav (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The subject of this thesis was a structural design of a timber structure of a mountain hotel in Králíky. The object was a three storey building in a shape of letter U. The project was made in two different variations. The first one consisted of timber frame system with walls securing spacial stability. Computational model was created as a spacial bar 3D model in SCIA Engineer 19.1. The internal forces were calculated using the linear static analysis. The loadbearing structure was designed according to ultimate and serviceability limit states in SCIA Engineer 19.1. The thesis includes joints and anchorage design according to valid standards. Glue laminated timber was chosen as a material for the loadbearing structure while solid timber was chosen for wall structures. The second variation was made out of cross laminated panels. Wall panels were calculated by hand calculation whereas floor and roof panels were calculated using Agrop Nova Element software. Spatial model was made in SCIA Engineer 19.1 software to design joints and for global deformation check as well. The thesis includes engineering report, structural design report as well as drawings.
Multifunctional house in Karlovy Vary
Růžička, Jiří ; Vlček, Ing Karel (referee) ; Vlček, Milan (advisor)
The project solves a multifunctional Duma building in a vacant lot, contemplated the construction site is located in Carlsbad, in the street Vyhlíce. This is a protected site spa. Part of the project's layout and structural design of the house. It is a six-storey house with an attic and a basement floor. It is designed as a free-standing in the gap as the final house. The layout is divided into two complete units with their own input. There are spaces for business and residential units for permanent housing. Part of the living area are also room house equipment. Inputs to both parts are wheelchair accessible. The house is not wheelchair The house is designed as a brick building of brick masonry Porotherm the module dimensions of 250 (125) mm with reinforced concrete ceilings. Roofed by a hipped roof. The house is located on a private plot of 519 m2 built-up area of 221 m2. The land is gently sloping. The main orientation of the building to the cardinal's east and west. The south wall is adjacent to the neighboring house.
Family house load-bearing structure composed of thin-walled steel members
Bulíček, Radek ; Melcher,, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design and verify load bearing members of single-storey family house composed of thin-walled cold-formed elements. Parking space for cars of timber members is the part of the house, too. The family house is in rectangular plan with dimensions of 9.5 x 10.5 m. The roof of the house is hipped, on the side of the house with the parking place rafters are associated with garage rafters. The following elements were statically assessed: structural members of the house roof (rafters, collar tie, roof bracing), structural members of the ceiling (ceiling beams), reinforcing timber frame, external and internal load bearing walls (columns), load bearing elements of the parking space (rafters, purlins, columns). All assessments were performed according to currently valid standards. The calculation showed that the resistance and serviceability of all components are satisfied.
Static analysis of the roof
Hořínek, Josef ; Vlk, Zbyněk (referee) ; Martinásek, Josef (advisor)
The Bachelor Thesis focuses on a static analysis of a timber roof truss. This roof trust is part of the saddle roof on the family home. The load on the structure is calculated manually according to valid standards. The load is divided into a total of 11 load cases. The calculation model of the structure is created in RFEM. Results of internal forces and deformations are checked by manual calculation using methods for statically indeterminate structures. These values are compared at the end.
Mountain hotel in Velké Losiny
Kašíková, Anna ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The work deals with the design of a load-bearing wooden structure of a mountain hotel in the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains. It is a building without cellar, two floors and a attic room. The floor plan of the building is 17 x 30 m with a porch of 3 x 10 m. Height of the building up to the ridge is 13.2 m. The design of the roof structure has been chosen from 2 different variants. Material usage consist of grown wood of class C24, glued laminated wood of class GL32h and steel S355. Static analysis was calculated by Dlubal RFEM software.

Timber structure of a multipurpose garden house
Hoffmannová, Zdislava ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is a design of a timber structure of a multipurpose garden house. The ground floor of the house serves as a garage, the attic serves as a playroom for children. The building is located in Letohrad in Pardubice Region. Structural system is a timber framed structure which has been created as a spatial bar model in CADKON+ 2017 software. The internal forces have been calculated in SCIA Engineer 18.1 software using the linear static analysis. These forces have been used to design structural elements. Final results have been partially verified by hand calculations. Solid timber of C24 quality has been chosen as a proper material.
The Development of the Roof Structures from Antiquity to the 20th Century
Urych, Jan ; Jarošová, Markéta (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the historical development of roof structures and materials used in their construction. The development in time can be delimited from the antique Rome and Greek up to the introduction of modern reinforced concrete structures in the twentieth century. The paper focuses not only on the roof structures and their types, but also on the appropriate roofing. In addition, it highlights the advantages or disadvantages of the individual types of structures, their elements and other relevant things. It is also devoted to the typology of the materials, their development and correct processing. The main aim of this work is to summarize the information and to outline the development from the earliest times up to the present.
Static analysis of wooden structure
Včelný, Michal ; Martinásek, Josef (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is focused on a static analysis of the timber frame structure. The designed structure has an atypical shape, where each frame has a different shape from previous one. The calculation and assessment is processed by SCIA Engineer program and subsequently verified by a simple hand calculation. The model is constructed according to the real shape of the structure and assessed for the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state.
