The following thesis deals with the subject of the construction of the railway in the Vysočina region and its subsequent impact on the development of the area. In the introduction to the theoretical part, the development of rail transport from its beginnings to the present isdescribed. Explained here is the concept of accessibility and subsequently the various elements affecting road accessibility are discussed. Following that, still in the theoretical part, the further development of the spatial structure of settlement systems is described. A three-stage period model was chosen showing development divided into three categories: a pre-industrial city, an industrial city and a post-industrial city. At the conclusion of the theoretical part is the hypothesis of this thesis. The methodological section describes the methods used for the production of the graphs, tables and maps that were used to substantiate research results. Subsequently, the database work, including its limitations, is described. The first section of the analytical part deals with the comparison of the historical development of population in individual regions. This is followed by research into the reasons for this development and a further analysis as to whether the cause could be the introduction of railways in the Vysočina region. The second section of the analytical part deals with the influence that the varying distances from the railway network of different municipalities in the Vysočina region had on their population development. As a determining parameter, a base index was chosen. One of the aims of this thesis was to describe the creation and urban development of the land - use town of Havlíčkův Brod. This site was chosen as a typical example of an industrial town which has evolved as a result of the introduction of a railway to the town.
Summer resorts Karlštejn and Srbsko. Contribution to study of transformation suburban landscape during the period of industrialization

This diploma thesis is about recreational activities of citizens of Prague in the period from the second half of 19th century through the second half of 20th century. It focuses on the era of industrialization, in which the suburban landscape underwent many changes, mainly thanks to new development of the city. This thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to the terms of industrialization and industrial revolution. It moreover deals with stratification of the society, focusing on the middle class, and describes recreational activities in different resorts. From the recreational activities, tramping and settlement establishing are specifically described. The empirical part is dedicated to two recreational resorts, Karlštejn and Srbsko, which are one train station apart from each other. In each case there is a description of the location of the resort. The description of the original inhabitants, recreational objects, current inhabitants and their important buildings and the cottage areas is following. One chapter is about a particular tramping settlement in Srbsko called "Valley of Dread". This diploma thesis deals with the recreational activities of the inhabitants of Prague and their influence on the transformation of the suburban landscape at the time of industrialization. It characterizes the time period from the mid-19th century to the 40s of the 20th century. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, it deals with the period of industrialization and, in connection with it, also with the industrial revolution. Further, the work is devoted to concrete manifestations of mass and individual recreation in the 19th century and consequently demographic growth of the inhabitants on the Czech territory, development of the middle class, establishment of the resort and the origin and importance of the Beautification Committee. The theoretical part ends with the characteristics of summer flats and other manifestations of individual and mass recreation until the middle of the 20th century. The empirical part deals with the characteristic, natural, geomorphological and historical development of Senohraby village. For last two centuries many changes has been passing through czech countryside. This features are different from region to region and we can see its results on settlement, landscape or society transformation. The paper is mapping ths features on countryside settlement in east part of hte Czech republic. This region was colonized as last part of the Czech republic and it has a lot of specifics. That´s why there are specific settlement structure and landscape using which are destroyed by large industrialization and urbanization. The charakter, continuity and qualities of area are hard to identify and to interpret.
Comparison of the Czech and Slovak labor market between 1993 and 2016

The labor market has overtaken huge changes in the Czech republic and Slovakia in the last quarter of a century. This diploma theses explains that the structure of the labor market is a dynamic concept that reacts not only to local economic factors, but also to changes in the European and world context. Czech and Slovak labor market has currently different regional disparities. In Slovakia, the problem of regional disparities and the significant polarization of the east and west of the country is much more urgent and significantly affects not only overall unemployment in the Slovak Republic but also the political and economic situation. This diploma thesis analyzes the origins of regional disparities and major changes in the labor market that have taken place in both countries since 1993 until present, and defines that the main cause is mono-industrialization in the second half of the 20th century.
Changes of the area around the Ore Mountain Railway during the period of industrialization

This diploma thesis discusses the changes of the cultural landscape and its inhabitants around the Ore Mountain Railway during the period of industrialization. The goal of a thesis is to describe the changes during the period of industrialization and the influence of newly build Ore Mountain Railway. The Ore Mountain Railway was a significant international transport link furthermore existence of railway had direct influence on the development of small villages in the vicinity. This thesis focuses on villages directly influenced by this railway in the period of industrialization. The first part is devoted to explanation of fundamental terms and description of region. Furthermore, there is a historical description of the region before the period of industrialization. In the next part is stated specific major development of the cultural landscape related to the growth of traffic and industry. In addition, there also describe social changes in the period of industrialization. The major focus of thesis is on the village Hrob. This village is used as an example for explanation of the influence of the Ore Mountain Railway to its region. In the last part is briefly described current state of the Ore Mountain Railway in these days.

This degree work is devoted to the problems of recreational activities of Prague dwellers and interrelated change of the suburban landscape in the period of industrialisation. Particularly this work explores the period of 2nd half of 19th century and 1st decades of 20th century. In the theoretical part is briefly characterised the term industrialisation and relating term of the industrial revolution and further on this part is devoted to establishing and historical roots of recreational and leisure-time activities. The following chapter deals with the recreation in common in the period of industrialisation and relating particular chapter about the recreational activities of Prague dwellers in the explored periods. Theoretical part is concluded by the summary of scientifical study that explored the interwar Hradišťko summer resort. This study has served as an inspiration for the particular exploring mentioned in the empirical part of this work. This one is devoted to the conditions of the establishing and development of Prague- suburban Božkov summer resort in the interwar period. The conslusion of this work is devoted to genesis comparison of Hradišťko and Božkov summer resort.

The doctoral thesis The Argentine Army as an Economic Factor focuses on civil-military relations that are key to understanding the history, the development of modern society, and even the reality of current Argentina. The main myth that characterizes Argentine history is that the interruption of the development of the democratic processes is due to military interventions. Both in Argentine society and in the international sphere, there is a purely negative opinion about the Argentine military, in particular related to the shock caused by the last military dictatorship. This sentiment still permeates the cultural and moral face of society. This paper offers another vision of the Argentine military and tries to contribute to overcome an overly simplified perception and the prejudice that derives from it. The first part of the paper examines the emergence of military power and the characteristics of the political system in the first half of the 20th century. This section points out the causes for which the Army overstepped its specific functions and entered into the political life of Argentina. Changes of public green and its cultivation at the turn of 19th and 20th century (case study of the town Kolín)

The submitted diploma thesis aims to evaluate which transformations of the public green occurred at the turn of the 19th and 20th century with the emphasis on areas primarily used for the cultural and social purposes. One of the most significant subjects creating the specific landscape in the industrial cities in this period are the beautification associations; the objective of the thesis is to point out to their importance. In the introductory chapters the issue is integrated into the historical and social context, the basic terms related to the industrial society are defined. The fundamental of running of the beautification associations together with their activities are introduced. The necessary part of this work is also a treatise concerning the importance of public green, its development and typology. The second part includes the regional probe devoted to the transformation of green space within the city Kolín during its transformation into the modern industrial city. On the basis of acquired archival data, is in the frame of this issue, evaluated the activity of the local beautification association, which enabled the creation of contribution regarding the still insufficiently analysed relationship between the society and public green.
