Histological Sections of Mouse Organs and their Usage in Secondary Education

This thesis is concerned with the topic of teaching histology at secondary schools. Histology is focused on the study of microscopic structure of tissue. By this it comprises the basic foundation stone for the studies of organs and organ systems not merely in humans, but also in other animals. The method of preparing the permanent histological slides, which has also been tested in practice, is thoroughly described in this thesis. The main goal of the practical part was to prepare a representative collection of the permanent histological sections through the organs of the house mouse (Mus muculus), to acquire its photo documentation as a base for an interactive histological atlas. House mouse (Mus musculus) was chosen as the model animal, because of its frequent utilization in various laboratory experiments and because this model mammal has the structure of tissues similar to human. The atlas consists of the photo documentation of histological sections through the following organs: lungs, skin, heart, thymus gland, spleen, epididymis, testicle, penis, spermatic sacs, striated muscle, heart muscle, smooth muscle, liver, tongue, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, gall bladder, kidney, urinary bladder, urethra, cerebellum and hippocampus. The view of Czech students on issues of forced labour

The aim of this master's thesis is to ascertain knowledge of Czech students in secondary schools, or more precisely in Grammar school, about the issue of forced labour during World War II. The master's thesis is based primarily on literature and own research and is divided into two parts. The first part is the theoretical part where is briefly introduced the history of forced labour in the general level (definition, type of work, working conditions, division of workers, etc.) and the second part where is conduct social research which is oriented only to Czech students. This research is conducted through a questionnaire survey that has the form of mixed research (questions and its evaluation is both quantitative and qualitative). Based on this research is evaluated both the overall state of knowledge of this issue (it compares the first-years students and fourth -years students of secondary schools), and is also taken account of the issue of the topic processing in secondary school textbooks.
Influence of information technologies in Regional Scientific Library Liberec

(English) The thesis examines the influence of information and communication technologies on the automation of library management processes and services as well as their applications, with a key consideration of the environment of the District Scientific Library of the city of Liberec. The introductory chapters briefly describe the development of basic international standards for data processing and communication networks in the world. The following chapters deal with the implementation of automated library management systems and networks in the Czech Republic in the early '90s, including accompanying projects that formed an inseparable part of the development. The development of automated library management processes and services in the District Research Library of the city of Liberec from the 90s till the end of 2010 becomes the core subject hereby examined. This is closely related to the parameters of the selection and application of the library management system, including the specific features thereof, as well as its internal utilization by librarians and its utilization by external users. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe user's viewpoint on library activites in social media. It summarizes definition, history and characteristic of social networking sites and describes some of them (Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter, YouTube). In next part it deals with chosen information sources about libraries in social media. It also describes social media activites of the Research Library in Hradec Králové. The practical part describes results from the implemented questionnaire survey in this library and itd results.

Bachelor thesis called "Brno dam" is specifically concerned with the history, development, function of waterworks and environmental impact of these. It assesses the current status and gives some suggestions for its improvement. The aim of the present paper is also paid to the protection of nature and landscapes. This study also includes a questionnaire survey, which examined whether this water work fulfills its function, what are the current shortcomings and how the inhabitants of the city of Brno perceive them. In conclusion to the thesis suggestions on possible improvements to its use in the future.

eGovernment of the Czech Republic from a citizen's perspective

This master thesis focuses on an evaluation of eGovernment of the Czech Republic from a citizen's perspective. The main goals of this thesis are to give an overview of services provided by the government to citizens in electronic way, to evaluate Czech eGovernment in comparison to foreign countries and to explore the relationship between Czech citizens and eGovernment. The goals will be accomplished by the research of literature resources concerning Czech eGovernment and by analysis of international studies which evaluate eGovernment from a global, world-wide, point of view. The relationship between citizens and eGovernment of the Czech Republic will be explored via a questionnaire survey, within which citizens' satisfaction with particular services, broadness and frequency of usage of eGovernment services will be examined, along with the citizens' opinion on innovations, which could be introduced in Czech eGovernment. The theoretical part of this thesis is comprised of an overview of Czech eGovernment services, followed by an evaluation of Czech eGoverment in relation to a number of foreign eGovernments. The questionnaire survey, together with the Czech eGovernment evaluation, and with the suggestions of innovations to be introduced in Czech Republic, forms the practical part of this thesis.

This thesis is focused on the Protected Landscape Area Moravian Karst -- the profile of visitors to this area, which serves as a basis for solving visitor's impacts on nature protection. The first part includes technical description of recreation in relation to protection of nature and characterizes this area in terms of natural conditions. The next section focuses on recreational opportunities in the area. The practical part consists of comparing the two surveys.
Impact of introduction of the data box system on effective communication in public administration

Diploma work deals with current aspects of information systems in public administration. The thesis assesses impact of introduction of the data box system on effective communication in public administration and evaluates to what extend the data boxes are beneficial to citizens of this state. After definition of terms used in this field, first part of the work is focused on the e-Government project and its four pillars. Further, thesis evaluates effect of the e-Government project on reduction of administrative burden for businessmen and on the lives of citizens in the information society. The following part of the work highlights gaps in the legislation, which creates rules for the data box system and has got an immediate impact on the efficiency of their operation. The work also surveys effects of the data box system introduction on effective communication between state and local governments on the citizens of our country. Diploma work points out the problems of the data box system, analyses their causes and offers possible solutions.
Contrast Czech-German cultural standards of the German company in the Czech Republic

The work deals with the contrasting Czech-German cultural standards, both generally and specifically, in a German company in the Czech Republic. There are further described the concept of cultural dimensions and cultural standards. The author lists then the most important representatives who deal with these two concepts. Much of the work is devoted to describing specific contrast Czech-German cultural standards from both the Czech and from the German perspective. The work is focused on the contrasts and cultural contacts between Czech and German colleagues in the German company in the Czech Republic. The basis of this finding is a questionnaire survey, through which are confirmed or challenged couples Czech-German cultural standards. The work is also characteristic of the company business.
