Overground Parking House
Pevner, Jan ; Klodner, Jan (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
The work focuses on the design and assessment of selected structural elements of one overground floor monolithic concrete structures and staircases. All calculations are done in accordance with Eurocode 2.
Nonlinear buckling analysis of a flue gas pipe
Jelínek, Jan ; Vincour, Dušan (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the nonlinear analysis of stability loss of flue gas pipe. This pipe is a part of desulphurization line. The thesis describes the creating of a simplified FEM model. It also describes the setting of the boundary conditions of the model for few loading cases. These cases differ by preference for one of the load as dominant. There are proposed several variants of stiffening by light ring stiffener. The work is finished by comparing the resistance to the stability loss of the reinforced variants and unreinforced model of flue gas pipe.
Qualitative study of beam finite elements
Martinásková, Magdalena ; Němec,, Ivan (referee) ; Nevařil, Aleš (advisor)
The issues were selected that have been expected to induce complications in modelling or calculations. These were solved in commercial softare RFEM, Scia, Axis and ANSYS using the FEM. The problems include geometric nonlinearities or address buckling or torsion. The basic theory and the software solutions are presented. For each task there are stated the parameters of calculation for individual programs, in more complex cases the way of assembling the model and solution steps are also described. The results obtained are compared to theoretical analytically obtained solution.
Load bearing RC structure of office building
Ferencz, Balázs ; Zlámal, Martin (referee) ; Šimůnek, Petr (advisor)
The Master’s thesis is focused on the analysis and design of selected members of load-bearing structure of an administration building according to the ultimate limit states (ULS) and seviceability limit states (SLS). The calculation and the analysis was supported by design software SCIA ENGINEER 2012. Structural analysis deals with the design of the reinforced concrete (RC) flat slab above the 4rd strorey which is particularly supported by RC columns and particularly lies on RC walls. Furthermore, the Master’s thesis contains analysis of some selected columns of last three storeys, column of lowest storey, construction of stairway between 4rd and 5th storeys. The work beside this deals with the calculation and design of foundation of the object. The rest parts of the load-bearing structure are not solved in the Master’s thesis.
Linear buckling analysis of a flue gas pipe
Jančík, Jan ; Klučka, Ivan (referee) ; Naď, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the loss of stability of thin-walled flue pipe at coal power plant. The problem of thin-walled structures is their propensity to the loss of stability due to abnormal conditions, for example a vacuum, effect of wind, snow and earthquake. The purpose is to find the optimal deployment of reinforcements so that the model meets the requirements of EN 1993-1-6. This required an evaluation of unreinforced version of the model to identify weaknesses and subsequently other configurations for the application of reinforcement. For determining the resistance the flue pipe to the loss of stability used primarily to access linear bifurcation analysis based on linear analysis, possibly materially nonlinear analysis. The result of work is a design of reinforcement of pipeline which under the requirements of the standard meets the latest model with a reserve of approximately 20 %.
Steel structure of a heliport
Klimeš, Pavel ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis concerns with the design and static analysis of the heliport steel construction, which has the height of 20 m. The heliport is situated in Prague, Na Františku as a part of the hospital. The technical report and drawings are included in the thesis as well. The thesis consists of the determination of the heliport total load (including permanent, live and climate loads) and, its implementation in the SCIA Engineer 2015.3 computer software. The stress analysis of selected rods and, joints was consequently carried out by means of the manual calculation.
Reinforced concrete frame construction
Duda, Tomáš ; Strnad,, Jiří (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis describes the design and assessment of the load-bearing part of the reinforced concrete structure of the department store – the frame. Respectively design and assessment of individual structural elements of the this frame at ultimate limit states. This is a rung frame R1, column S1, footings P1 and floor plate D1 above the first floor of this building.
Stress and deformation analysis of railway bridge over the Odra River
Svoboda, Josef ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with strain, stress and deformation analysis of the planar truss bridge construction. The aim is to determined the size of axial forces for statically determinate system and then making construction changes to reduce axial stresses in the individual beams in the structure. This structural modification becomes statically indeterminate structure. To solve this problem we consider different positions of the train at the bridge. The obtained values we can use to assess stress and deformation of the structure and the analytical results will be compared with the results obtained using the finite element method.
Shape optimization of the typical frame of the load-bearing structure of the steel hall
Kuzbová, Šárka ; Vlk, Zbyněk (referee) ; Hokeš, Filip (advisor)
The thesis deals with the shape optimization of a typical frame of a steel hall structure. The calculation is performed for two types of parametric models created with both 1D and 2D finite element models in RFEM 6. The aim of the optimization process is to achieve a state where the structure has the lowest mass while satisfying the stress limit. The first model, which is created using 1D finite elements, focuses on optimizing the initial and final section heights of the members with the raises. The following model, which is developed using 2D finite elements, is aimed at optimizing the openings of the pierced beam. The thesis also includes analytical verification of the model using the deformation method.
Planetarium
Sokolová, Eva ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The master’s thesis object is to create a design of a load carrying steel structure planetarium. Its ground plan dimensions are 36,1 x 49,0 m. The planetarium hall’s roof is designed with system of trusses and purlins. The projection hall’s roof consists of ribbed cupola with radially arched ribs. The stiffness of the whole construction is ensured with bracings. The walls of the whole object are composed of columns, rails and bracings.
