Algorithms and Programming Education with a focus on the programming language Python
Kotek, Lukáš ; Novák, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Černochová, Miroslava (referee)
The thesis researches the ability of use of Python programming language in the field of high school education and uses qualitative and quantitative methods of research and finds Python suitable. The thesis also brings theoretical analysis of the Python language, including practical exams in the form of sample programs. It researchs even other programming languages used in education and their suitability for this purpose and compares them with Python programming language. It also finds two most common used programming languages at high schools, which are Pascal / Object Pascal and Java.
Concept-oriented education if programming in Scratch
HOLEČKOVÁ, Kristýna
The focus of this diploma thesis is to create a set of short tasks for teaching programming at primary schools focused on Scratch programming enviroment. Those taks should help students to deeply understand of particular term, functions and syntax of commands. Also this set will contain tasks focused on particular term but with different approach of learning the term. First I chose some of the key concepts of teaching programming for 2nd grade primary school. For each set and task I had to set which term will the task be focused on and how the task will accomplish students key learing preferences which is important for learning students. Those task has been developed based on this learning preferences. Diploma thesis is divided into two parts, practical and theoretical part. Theoretical part contains the theoretical starting points from the field of conceptual design and constructivist approach to teaching and consequently contains description of all task including students developing competenses. This part also contain manual for teachers containing pcinipal, core and correct solution of the tasks all described in detail with highlights of important parts for teacher to carefully focuse on. The second and practical part of the diploma theses contains sets of tasks which have been directly tested in teaching on primary school and have been edited during this testing period of time.
Algorithmisation teaching in EasyLogo in primary education
BARTÍKOVÁ, Martina
This master thesis deals with programming education on first grade of primary schools in application EasyLogo. The theoretical part consists of analysis of education of an original set of short programming exercises. Based on observation of teaching at schools and following interactions with teachers and students was the set modified and supplemented by new exercises. The new educational set includes 52 exercises divided into seven sections which keep the teaching process following the taught steps. The master thesis consists of descriptions and previews of new exercises, guidelines for teachers and as an attachment there is a complete list of exercises divided into sections.
Python - a Programming Language for Algorithms and Programming Education
Education of basic programming in Scratch environment
KREJSA, Jan
The work deals with programming education on primary schools in Scratch programme. Investigation was carried out by questionnaire on primary school in theoretic part. The investigation shows the facts relating to teaching programming. Scratch is compared with Baltík and Imagine Logo, which are the most commonly used on primary schools. The work also includes an analysis of teaching materials that are available for teaching Scratch. Results of the analysis of teaching materials are shown in a graph. Procedure of teaching was made on the basis of this analysis. The procedure of teaching is divided into twelve subjects. Pupil sheet and guideline for teacher is created for each subject.
Program walkthough simulation through flowchart for teaching algorithms
BARTYZAL, Miroslav
The work is concerned with development of application for fast and efficient way of assembling algorithms using flowcharts and their subsequent walkthrough visualization for purpose of teaching algorithms. First part of the work consists of basic terminology description, which describes in particular the different flowchart symbols. Other parts of the work are devoted to the analysis of the treated subject, application design and interesting sections of development. The last part of the thesis summarizes the verification of the application in practice and the results of this work.
Current situation in teaching of algorithmization in secondary school
BROMOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this thesis is mapping of current state of teaching of algorithmization in secondary school. Basic information about the subject is given in theoretical part - a relation between teaching of algorithmization and RVP ZV, and basic assupmtions of teaching of algorithmization: a historical aspect, methods, aims and possibilities of teaching of algorithmization (and an approach on teaching). The essential part of teaching of algorithmization is an education support - a textbook about algorithmization and programming, programming support, projects and competitions for students. Practical part is a pedagogical research. This research consists of five themes A. A quantitative research of teaching of algorithmization in secondary school in České Budějovice. B. A review of extra curricural teaching of algorithmization in ČB. C. A statewide mapping of teaching of algorithmization in Czech Republic. D. A statewide research on a success rate of the competition ?Bobřík informatiky? (informatics beaver). E. A teacher's experience with a textbook.
Online Password Manager
Ort, Štěpán ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mészáros, Jan (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to show on which principles a modern password manager works. The introductory theoretical part describes cryptographic algorithms and evaluates whether they are suitable for use in current applications. At the same time it presents methods how to create a password which is strong and also easily remembered. The second part explains the key characteristics of a password manager. The last chapter illustrates the architecture of online password storage and the way of communicating with the password manager. Measures that have to be taken in order to make such storage secure are also described here.
