This diploma thesis focuses on financing of ecological investments, let us say financing of alternative sources of energy, especially fotovoltaic eletric power stations. In one part the thesis focuses on the list of structural funds and ways of financing. The thesis offers the abstract of legislation and limitations which goes with the applicants in all periods of projects. The analysis of the background concerning the financing ecological investments in the Czech Republic is the integral part of thesis. The practical part of the thesis shows if the ecological project could be interesting and beneficial for investors. The Cost Benefit Analysis could be instrumental for finding out the relevant information.

In the main part of analyzing the situation HATRACO Company Ltd. and described the procedure for obtaining funds from the EU structural funds. The final section is devoted to evaluate the use of structural funds for the development of the company.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of strategic planning at the municipal level. The creation of strategic documents has become a key factor in the development of the territory in recent years. The main goal of the work was to find out how municipalities within the Brno metropolitan area approach this issue, whether they create strategic documents and what areas they primarily focus on. The theoretical part focuses on methodologies related to strategic planning within the Czech Republic as well as related research by Czech and foreign authors. The practical part presents knowledge ob-tained by analyzing strategic documents of selected municipalities and evaluating interviews with representatives of municipalities. In the last part, the obtained information is discussed with similar researches by other authors.

1 TITLE: EU projects implementation and schools success rate in grant asquisition AUTHOR: Soňa Calábková DEPARTMENT: The centre of school management SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Václav Trojan, Ph.D. ABSTRACT The subject matter of this bachelor's work is EU projects implementation in 2007- 2013 period and grant acquisition in education with focus on primary schools in Opava region. The first part briefly characterize regional politics and its application in the Czech Republic. Next part overview particular operating programmes with profound view on operating programme Education for competitiveness, out of which is realized the call "EU money for schools", intended to improve conditions for pupils and teachers at primary schools outside Prague. This is followed by specific example of detailed analysis of project cycle during EU grant application in support area 1.4. The aim of my bachelor's work is to analyze the situation in primary schools in Opava region in terms of EU projects involvement, grant success rate and their implementation into school practise with detailed focus on "EU money for schools" project. The research summary of questionnaires, phone inquires and stuctured questions together with conclusion and reccomendations are presented in the final part.
