The verification of durability of surface layer by pull-off testing
Fujačková, Hedvika ; Komárková, Tereza (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis defines the basic properties, categorization, and use of the individual components of concrete and presents the properties of fresh and hardened concrete, especially the tensile strength. Furthermore, the thesis addresses the problem of durability assessment of concrete, which depends directly on the quality of the surface layer. The experimental part of the thesis focuses on executing of a pull-off test and examines the surface layer tensile strengths of various concrete mix designs. The thesis examines how the results of the measurements correspond with other published results.

Development of structural concrete with power plant ash
Ťažký, Martin ; Sokol, Pavel (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Worldwide production of concrete is increasing, what has a negative environmental load of cement production. That is due to effort in building construction, also concrete production, greater use of the secondary raw materials. Fly ash is the most commonly used secondary raw material. His used has a very good impact on the economy and ecology of production and positively affects on the properties of concrete in both the fresh and hardened state. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to improve its use in concrete, using a minimum void fraction of dry mix cement-fly ash.

SCC with secondary raw materials
Ťažká, Lucia ; Ťažký, Tomáš (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the possibility of using secondary raw materials and their application to the production of SCC. Large part deals with impurities of type I and its application results mainly from abroad. Furthermore, this work examines the impact of different types of impurities on the resulting concrete durability in various aggressive environments. The practical part is focused on the use of chemically non-reactive additives of type I instead of the commonly used additives of type II which are used to replace part of cement and the resulting design and manufacture of low-strength SCC using appropriate additives.

The influence of heavy metal oxides on the properties of cement pastes
Kašpárková, Kateřina ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (referee) ; Vyšvařil, Martin (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on study of the effect of increased content of heavy metals in cement production on the properties of this cement and the effect of addition of heavy metal oxides in cement pastes production. The thesis also deals with structural changes in particular components of cement in the presence of heavy metals. The effect of addition of heavy metal oxides on the properties of cement pastes is demonstrated in the experimental part by determining their mechanical properties, pore structure, and observation of the progress of hydration.

Cold recycling
Šperka, Pavel ; Stehlík, Dušan (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the processing of knowledge of flexible pavements cold recycling, especially on the technologies if full depth reclamation and partial cold recycling in-place and the benefits or reasons for the increased use in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis the current status of selected sections, which were made by practical cold in-place recycling technology, is evaluated. In the end of the work the success of this technology is evaluated.

Increase of Belite Clinker Reactivity
Pekárková, Jana ; Fridrichová, Marcela (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on possible increase of belite clinker reactivity. Specfically a method of chemical activation was examinated. This method consists in disruption of belite structure due to substitution silicon ions with other ion. It also deals with effect of potassium ions from potassium sulfur and carbon on longterm hydration process of belite clinker, which was burnt in laboratory.

Rehabilitation technology of embankment dams by using suitable types of waste
Michalčíková, Magdaléna ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The subject of this work is to find an optimal technology for repairing existing embankment dams with emphasis on simplicity and ecological scalability. Next, secondary energy and waste materials will be evaluated as a partial replacement of a quality montmorillonitic clay. The aim of this will be to maximize the use of these waste materials. In the end a selection of materials for the locality will be made. The use of appropriate types of waste for repairs of embankment dams with clay based grouting compound technology has a great potential, especially with those dams that are not fulfilling their function due to their age.
