Effects of rehabilitation methods on the course of knee osteoarthritis
Novák, Dalibor ; Barna, Miloš (advisor) ; Kučera, Miroslav (referee)
Knee osteoarthritis is the most often form of the progressive degenerative injury called osteoarthritis, which signifies the most widely extended knuckle disability all over the world. And so it turns into a serious healthy and social-economic problem. Besides the symptomatic treatment of pain, the effort of contemporary therapy is to affect those processes, which lead to osteoarthritis morphological progression. The medical treatment should be carried out preferably at total range and with rehabilitation as its integral part. This report sums up many till now published knowledge above knee osteoarthritis itself and above its treatment processes, primarily in case of use some rehabilitation methods, and offers some information above evaluation effect of therapeutical processes for course of this disorder. Surface electromyography leg and trunk muscle in patients with Jumper's knee
Crhonková, Radka ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee) ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is summarize the current knowledge about Jumper's knee. It also includes a brief summary of the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee and then a separate chapter is devoted to the etiology, clinical picture, investigations and treatment of Jumper's knee. On these findings has been prepared and compiled research project hypotheses. This research is to determine whcther, and what affects Jumper's knee in the human musculoskeletal system. To this end, we chose a method of surface electromyography and dynamic plantography for analysis of pressure distribution and reaction forces during foot contact with the plate. Attention was focused on the comparison of side differences and timing muscle trunk and legs during dynamic activities sdccted. The results were compared with a control group that consisted of healthy individuals. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Therapeutic game with biofeedback for rehabilitation of the lower limbs
Kubínová, Kateřina ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Koťová, Markéta (advisor)
This thesis focuses on problematis of using Kinect sensor in rehabilitation of knee joint. Relatively new method of rehabilitation via biofeedback produced by Kinect One for Window motion sensor delivers number of benefits to a patient. Part of the thesis is therapeutic game named Kolínko developed in C#.
Analysis of Kinematic and Dynamic of Knee Joint
Halama, Jakub ; Dočkal, Kryštof (referee) ; Urban, Filip (advisor)
The bachelor thesis summarizes present knowledge of the knee joint in terms of its mechanics, it compares joint kinematics and dynamics during various locomotor activities of daily living such as: gait, standing up from the chair, ascending and descending stairs, running. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the changes in the motion and loading of the joint in the cases of osteoarthritis and knee replacement in comparison with healthy individuals. Lastly, it also describes the loading asymmetries between healthy and affected knee.

Research study of tumorous total endoprosthesis of knee and hip joint
Věžníková, Tereza ; Florian, Zdeněk (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
The presented bachelor’s thesis deals with tumorous total endoprosthesis of knee and hip joint. Tumorous replacement is used in patients with bone losts due to bone tumors and for these patients it means the salvage of their limb and the possibility to live full lives. This work includes the description of the developement, types and currently used replacement after bone tumors. The significiant part of patients with bone tumors are children for whom there are growing endoprosthesis containing the expandable mechanism and thanks to this the length of the limb can be regulated. In the last part of this work the stress-strain analysis of tumorous total hip endoprosthesis is performed using computational modeling.
Biomechanical studies of knee jointarthroplasty
Zděblo, Jakub ; Valášek, Jiří (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with stress-strain analysis of the intact human knee joint and the knee joint after reconstruction using fixation plate. Finite element method is used to determine the biomechanical response of the knee under loading with the FE software Ansys. The three-dimensional finite element model is consisted of bony structures (femur and tibia) which were created using computed tomography (CT) data, articular cartilages and both menisci. Model of the locking plate (LCP) was created based on producer's technical guide. Three models of the knee joint with LCP fixation plate are created for three different sizes of condylar fragment based on the intact model. On all variants is applied loading corresponding to maximum loading in a gait cycle. The results show that reconstruction of the knee joint with locking plate has no effect on changing in contact pressure on tibial plateau.
Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis with Hydraulic Knee
Vávra, Jan ; Robenek, Dětřich (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the engineering design of a knee-ankle orthosis and subsequent implementation of a functional sample. The subject of the first part of the thesis is the design of internal shape of the shell on the basis of the patient's leg using CAD software. The second part deals with the design of the hydraulic knee. The knee joint with hydraulic controlled bending enables easier movement for patients who are not able to bring up stairs and uneven surfaces than existing joints. In the implementation was used SolidWorks 2012 and Geomagic Studio 12.
Biomechanical studies of total knee replacement and alternatives to the implantation
Majvald, Jiří ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis the historical development of function and contruction of the total knee prosthesis is analysed. It contains an overview of the total knee replacement currently produced in the Czech republic and abroad. The description of the strain stress analysis of the tibial component TKR, which was made using the ANSYS software, is part of thesis.
Total knee arthroplasty
Zděblo, Jakub ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with total knee arthroplasty. Describes the historical development from the view of the structural types and materials used in manufacturing. It characterizes various materials, focusing on mechanical properties. The thesis involves strain - stress analysis by finite element method using ANSYS software in the examination of the causes of knee joint replacement failure.
