The influence of a pre-print thick layer paste viscosity on forming of layer
Ondráček, Michal ; Švecová, Olga (referee) ; Klíma, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the theory of thick film technology and applying these layers. The work also includes basics of liquid rheology, methods of measurement viscosity and ways of mixing liquids. The main aim is to determine the influence of viscosity of thick film pastes for printing quality of the test structure using screen printing, in particular its flatness and sharpness. The aim is also measure the dependence of viscosity thick film pastes on mixing time.
Electrical properties of thick film pastes measured in a wide temperature range
Gajdoš, Jiří ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Řezníček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to investigate the electrical properties of various thick-film resistor pastes in a wider temperature range. The thesis mainly focuses on a change in electrical resistance depending on temperatures, which extend to the cryogenic region. To achieve this, there is an overview of the thick-film technology properties, major technological procedures, principles of resistive pastes conductivity, methods of electrical resistance measuring, possible errors in measurement and methods of their minimization. The content of this work is also familiar with the characteristics of a cryogenic station, on this foundation was proposed the measurement procedure and created thick-film circuits for this station. After measurement in the interval 10 K to 350 K, there are subsequently evaluated the data and explains the principles of the conductivity of used pastes.
The pressure measuring using LTCC technology
Straka, Michal ; Řezníček, Michal (referee) ; Kosina, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problems of the pressure sensor made on a low temperature co-fired ceramics. The pressure sensor converts the measured physical quantity to the electrical signal. The strain-gauge, capacitive and optical sensors are used for scanning of the pressure. It is possible to construct the multilayer sensors with holes and cutouts, through the use of the 3D structure on LTCC sensors. The passive parts can be applied on this layer through the thin-layer or thick-layer technology, which creates conductible paths and contacts for parts and outlets. In the practical part of the work, a few construction types of pressure sensors are designed, implemented and measured. Emphasis is given to strain-gauge strip sensor and possible problems during its manufacture, lamination and deformation of burn-out.
Thick-film sensors for electrochemical detection of species in aqueous solutions
Martynek, Daniel ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the theory, principles and characteristics of electrochemical sensors, thick-film technology and electrodes used in electrochemistry. Methods for the detection of substances matters in solutions are discussed here. Main emphasis is given to differential pulse voltammetry and the influence of the method setup parameters to the measurement results. Experimentally, the work deals with the modification of thick-film working electrode with carbon nanotubes and subsequent activation of the electrode by nitric acid to increase the detection limit and the current response to selected heavy metals ions. Finally, the obtained results are compared with special commercial paste and discussed with the data state in literature.
Capacitive sensor in low temperature co-fired Ceramic
Symerský, Tomáš ; Řezníček, Michal (referee) ; Kosina, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with theoretical knowledge of basic materials especially of a low-temperature ceramics, which enables creating multi-layer structures. Different defects occur by forming these structures, especially in the area of cavernas and micro-tubules. This thesis uses different methods which lead to an elimination of these defects. The thesis also deals with techniques which can be used to a realization of these sensors. Achieved knowledge helped to draft and realize the capacity sensor of flow and pressure in a low-temperature ceramics. The pressure sensor was tested by the load in the frequency spectrum, while the flow sensor was tested for different substances.
Properties of Thick Film Multilayer Components
Shishkin, Alexey ; Švecová, Olga (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
Purpose of our experiment to receive mathematical model for RC-RP elemets with different structure. As a objektive factor of mathematical model we will decide temperature coefficient of component's time constant. As a influence factors we'll choose production behaviour. To realize experimint for it. Number of factor's is three. After experiment to draw a conclusion about influence of poduction's error .
Optimization of electrochemical sensor for detection in microvolume
Gajdoš, Libor ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes optimization and modification of standard thick-film electrochemical sensor to be able to be used for detection in microvolumes. In the theoretical part, the thick film technology is described. The work is then focused on the wettability of surfaces followed by introduction to electrochemistry and electro-analytical methods. In the experimental part, screen-printing of various types of thick film pastes on ceramic substrates for determination of their wettability and the following modification of the sensors with thick-film paste and with Parylene vaporization can be found, as well as the basic electrochemical measurements in microvolume using the modified sensor. Finally the results are summarized in conclusion.
