The main outputs of my work are: 10 principles to get the right advisory service and own ethical codex, which will be used in my own advisory praxis.

This work deals firstly with the regulation of insurance in general terms and then the real or practical ones. The general part deals with the reasons for regulation, its evolution and possible forms. The practical part of the work is trying to see what form of regulation of the insurance market is currently in the Czech Republic and then in the European Union. Mentioned is also the development of regulation with regard to present and future.

The development of insurance after revolution in the Czech republic

This thesis is focused on the development of the system of insurance after revolution in the Czech republic. The period contains last twenty years, from the velvet revolution in 1989, over the decomposition of the Czechoslovakia, break the century, joining the Europian Union till presence. The thesis covers the concepts and definitions of the insurance market, modern trends, statistics and legislative changes in the whole period.

Historie světového pojišťovnictví a pojišťovnictví v České a Slovenské republice. Obecná charakteristika pojistného trhu. Pojednání o nejvýznamnějších produktech neživotního a životního pojištění. Analýza vývoje pojistných trhů v České a Slovenské republice v letech 2003 až 2005. Porovnání předepsaného pojistného, nákladů na pojistná plnění a koncentrace pojistných trhů. Uvedení odvětví neživotního a životního pojištění, o které byl na obou pojistných trzích největší zájem. Analýza změn na trhu životního pojištění po zavedení důchodové reformy ve Slovenské republice. Uvedení pojišťoven s největším podílem na celkovém předepsaném pojistném trhu v České a Slovenské republice. Porovnání vybraných nabídek kapitálového životního pojištění z obou pojistných trhů metodou General Electric.

Valuation of Insurance Company

The topic of the thesis is valuation of insurance companies. The thesis is separated into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis describes characteristics of the insurance sector and its specific aspects that play significant role in the operation of insurance companies as well as economical and financial analysis necessary for valuations. Financial ratios used in financial analysis of insurance companies, their interpretation and methods used for valuation are also presented in this part. The practical part of the thesis then describes two methods of valuation, their application and comparison.

Thesis deals with methods of financial analysis in the insurance industry followed by application of selected methods and approaches to the insurance company Komerční pojišťovna, a.s. Financial analysis is performed from the perspective of the owner. Theoretical part is determined to the description of financial analysis with a focus on the insurance industry. Practical part is determined for application of methods of financial analysis and comparison of assessed insurance company with the insurance industry and its competition.

Asymmetry of information on insurance markets

The work deals with the phenomenon of information asymmetry on the insurance markets. The aim of this work is to identify the information asymmetry as such and its specifics on the insurance markets, to describe and evaluate the possible procedures for its reduction and finally to estimate the future developments in this field. We use the study of the scientific literature, analysis of related legislation and insurance conditions of relevant insurance products and last but not least the author's own experience of work in the field of banking. There are described the procedures to reduce the information asymmetry such as the insurance legislation, possible modifications in the insurance conditions, information registers and expert systems.

The Evolution of State Supervision in Insurance in the Czech republic

The thesis " The Evolution of State Supervision in Insurance in the Czech republic" is focusing on one sphere of the insurance market -- evolution, and the possible ways of regulation in the Czech market. It is deeply concerned with the reasons of regulation, the evolution periods, its legislative changes from the point of view of the last years and particular activities of the Czech National Bank in 2008. It looks on insurance as a current, dynamic and developing branch, which seems to be perspective in the future, and those perspectives are indicated in the end of the work.
