Subsidies from the EU on human resource development - Case Study

The bachelor thesis deals with the EU Structural Funds, the EU's regional policy, its history, principles and legislation. The thesis focuses on both past and current the operational programs. The greatest attention is devoted to running programs on human resources, particularly the operational program in Prague - Adaptability. As one of the two operational programs in Prague, which applicants can take advantage of the subsidy. The work has three objectives - analysis of the real project, which was realized during the previous programming period of Structural Fund. Experience and challenges gained by applicants of grants (questionnaire) and the existence of countries with similar economic development as the Czech Republic, where the capital city fell into a different objective than other areas of the country.
EU subsidies aimed at human resources – case study

This bachelor thesis is oriented on the issue of obtaining financial grants from the European Union for the development of human resources, specifically for legal entities situated in the capital of Prague. EU Structural Funds are introduced in the first part of the thesis; these finance projects directed on the development of human resources. Another part brings up the Operational Program Prague -- Adaptability. Third part is dedicated to the practical topic of acquiring the grants, particularly to a project application, its production, evaluation and obtaining of financial resources. Cost benefit analysis is introduced in this part as an appropriate tool to select and evaluate the project.
State interventions into the automotive industry in USA

This bachelor thesis analyses the impact of interventions of U.S. government in automotive industry. First part is concerned with present economic knowledge about state interventions and their influence on economy. In connection to this topic, there are used books by well known authors from Austrian school as M. Rothbard and L. von Mises. One small chapter is focused on the financial crisis and its reason. Second part introduces automotive industry in USA with its biggest producers (General Motors, Ford Motors and Chrysler). Sub-chapter mentions restructuring General Motors. The practical part describes an influence of extraordinary state interventions on automotive industry in USA. Used data will be processed in the context with theories by Rothbard and Mises.
Education, science and research in EU funding instruments

Subject of this thesis are the issues concerning financial subsidies from the EU funding instruments. The thesis focuses on education, science and research, and briefly describes their current situation in the Czech Republic. The main possible instruments financing these areas are the Structural Funds and the Community Programs. In the second part, there is given detailed instructions on how to prepare an application for a grant. The instructions are more amenable to the Operational Programs administrated in the Czech Republic, but its principles and structure of the project cycle can be used for any project or application.

Bachelor's thesis deals with the private bus sector, its activities and specification. Includes a summary of all relevant legislation and fiscal adjustment, under which the companies must follow. Are given a general accounting procedures and laws, as well as specific standards and regulations apply only to transportation companies such as subsidies. The work shows an example of passenger transport companies operating on the Czech market.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of program supporting small and medium-sized enterprises with the emphasis on the labour market

The main objective of my diploma thesis is to reach the significance of small and medium-sized enterprises and make a statistical analysis of the specific program supporting small and medium-sized enterprises provided by the Czech Moravian Guarantee Bank with the emphasis on the labour market. The analysis indicated that small and medium-sized enterprises are significant players not only in the Czech economy, but also in other states in the world. Small and medium-sized enterprises make 99,23% of the whole business sector in the Czech Republic. They dominate in sectors such as trade, services, fishing, manufacturing and other labour-intensive industries. No less important role small and medium-sized enterprises play in providing jobs, for 59,9% of work force employed in the Czech Republic. Most of empirical studies claim that small and medium-sized enterprises are significant in job creation as well as in job destruction. The certain of jobs in small and medium-sized enterprises are really poor in comparison with the large companies. There are lots of supportive programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises which are concentrated on regional level as well as blanket character. Evaluation of the program supporting small and medium-sized enterprises provided by the Czech Moravian Guarantee Bank confirmed their significance role in job creation and also indicated their small part in job destruction.
The Influence of Increase in Number of Inhabitants on the Tax Revenues of City of Brandýs nad Labem

The purpose of this work is to analyse dependence of tax revenues on a number of inhabitans and to demonstrate it on the example of the particular municipality and to compare the acquired data with the national average. In the first part possible sources of financing are defined and tax revenues development is described. In the second part I focuse on a selected municipality with regard to certain characteristics of tax revenues and the number of inhabitants of this municipality. In the third part the detail analysis is carried out that examine dependence of tax revenues on number of inhabitants and provides a comparison of analysed characteristics of selected municipality with data applying for the Czech Republic.
