Footbridge across the Berounka
Zlatuška, Karel ; Romportl, Tomáš (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with design of plan – curved footbridge over Berounka river near the town of Čivice. Three different options were developed. First option includes a single – beam prestressed integral construction with haunches. The second option includes suspension footbridge construction, where the bridge deck is suspended at one side. In the third option the main span is built from concrete segments. Those are suspended on a pair of steel arches. The access ramps are cast – in – place, and they are supported by round steel piers. This variant was finally chosen as the best one and it was further processed. The construction was analyzed with Scia Engineer 2015 software, considering the construction process. The footbridge was loaded with dead loads and live loads including traffic and thermal actions. The internal forces were calculated and the construction was assess to the serviceability and ultimate limit states. In terms of serviceability, stress in concrete sections and deformations were checked. In terms of the ultimate limit state, the ultimate load capacities were calculated. The steel arches and piers were checked for possibility of loss of stability by buckling. The loss of stability was also checked by the software. Finally the dynamic behaviour of the construction was assessed, especially the harmonic excitation response. Then the construction plan and the drawings were made. The drawings include overview drawings and detailed drawings.
The Active Bonnet Hinge
Galda, Michal ; Růžička, Bronislav (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing the construction of an active bonnet hinge, tuning the kinematics and appropriate proportioning of individual parts of the hinge. The thesis consists of two main parts – the first part is an analysis of the current state of knowledge and the second part presents a designing the construction. The active hinge should serve as a safety element in automobiles to minimize consequences of head injury suffered during the collision of a pedestrian with an automobile.
Long optical fibre routes influence on the polarizing state of light and uses it for powering polarization sensors
Panascí, Marco ; Grenar, David (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the influence of long fiber optic paths on the polarization state of light and their use for powering polarization sensors. The aim of the diploma thesis was to design the arrangement of optical fiber components so that the polarization properties of light at the end of the path are further usable for sensory purposes. Four partial measurements with a long path (in a laboratory setting, laying in the ground, on a curtain, under the influence of external influence) and one measurement without a path under the influence of external influence were designed. The overall measurement results demonstrate that for the functional power supply of long-distance sensor systems, an existing single-mode fiber can be used (laid by laying in the ground), into which a light source for a given sensor system would be multiplexed. In the discussion, all types of measurements are analyzed and compared with each other. Finally, the overall result is summarized and applications are described in which such a sensor system could be used.
Suspension footbridge over the Bečva River
Kavecký, Jakub ; Zlatuška, Karel (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The theme of this master thesis is the design of a footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the river Bečva. A suspended footbridge is selected from three developed bridge variants. The design was analyzed in more detail in the Midas Civil program where the construction timeline was also included. The footbridge was loaded with dead loads, live loads from pedestrians and climatic loads from wind and temperature. For internal forces, the structure was assessed for ultimate and serviceability limit states. The pylon was also considered in the program with 2nd order effects. The model of footbridge was subjected to dynamic analysis. The graphical output of the work consists of overview drawings, reinforcement drawings, detail and phased construction drawing with visualization.
Concept of the mulcher for aggregation with a tractor 55 kW
Anders, Horst ; Fajkus, Pavel (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the conceptual design of a universal horizontally adjustable mulcher. The mulching process, its advantages and the mulchers supplied to our market are described in the thesis. The mulcher is designed according to the assigned power parameters and characteristic working range. The thesis contains partial functional and force calculations of the nodes selected by the contract owner and separately designed units, including components supplied by other manufacturers.
Plan curved pedestrian bridge
Lachová, Alžběta ; Jurík,, Michal (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this master thesis is the elaboration of a study of a curved footbridge leading over the Svratka River. Two variants were created, from which a suspended structure was selected for subsequent modelling and assessment. The footbridge consists of a monolithic bridge deck made of prestressed concrete. The cross section of the bridge deck is designed as an asymmetrical box girder, suspended on one side by a pylon. The pylon is located on the inner side of the bridge deck at the junction of the apex and the centre of the circle and is anchored by hinges to the subgrade.
Pedestrian bridge across the river Nitra
Tomečka, Petr ; Kaláb,, Pavel (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The subject matter of this master thesis is to design pedestrian bridge across the river Nitra in a city Nitra. Out of three possible solutions arch bridge was considered to be the most optimal system for given situation and it was analysed in detail. The design and assessment of load-bearing structure was evaluated acording to valid standarts. The main goal was to comply with ultimate and serviceability limit state. Global calculation model was created in ANSYS Mechanical APDL 21 R2. Model of the slab of the deck in the cross direction was performer using SCIA Engineer 19.1. Load capacity of some cross sections was verified manually and some using computer software IDEA Statica 21.0. This thesis is extended with drawings of sequence of construction, detailed drawings of the bridge and visualizations.
Static analysis of suspension bridge variants
Zavřelová, Michaela ; Martinásek, Josef (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the static analysis of individual models of suspension footbridges. A manual calculation of the cable was processed. The actual position of the cable was determined by calculation. The manual calculation was compared with the RFEM calculation program. Furthermore, the models were loaded with manually calculated loads. The bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of pylon deflection on the global deformations of cable and bridge deck during individual load cases and combinations. For one of the models, the optimization of construction was processed.

Pedestrian bridge over the Jihlava river in Třebíč
Vavřička, Lukáš ; Velešík, Marek (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with design of concrete pedestrian bridge over the Jihlava river. At the beginning two variants were created, one of which was future postprocessed. The cable-stayed construction, whose main support part is created by two pylons fixed to post-tensioned bridge deck, is pin-supported on abutment. Suspension of the deck is implemented by cables pin joined to the top of towers and sides of the deck. Material of the main concrete load-bearing structure is concrete C45/55. The steel elements of structure are made from steel S355, suspenders are designed with steel Macalloy 460. The structural assessment report was processed mostly by hand calculation with use of program MS Excel, for structural check of pylon use of program FIN EC beton was chosen. The load calculation was performed with program Scia Engineer. The drawing was created in AutoCAD software and the visualization in Lumion.
