IMPACT OF ECONOMIC CRISIS ON THE GLASS INDUSTRY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

This bachelor thesis will address the impact of the ongoing economic crisis on the glass industry. This industrial sector has major impact on the functioning of the whole economy and is linked to other sectors mainly in Northern Bohemia. In the first part, bachelor thesis focuses on the current czech market, as well as the conduct of effective domestic demand for glass products since the mid-90s and also on employment. The practical part will be focused on the analysis of macroeconomic indicators such as GDP, unemployment or inflation. Following will be the examination of region Zeleznobrodsko, where unemployment rate grew rapidly due to the decline of glass industry. With the closure is inherently linked to dozens of companies and even the largest enterprise in Zelezny Brod - Zeleznobrodske sklo. Finally, work should bring about possible future development of glass segment, and for the improvement of one of the most traditional industries in the Czech Republic.
Launch of new coloured glass into the market

This Bachelor's paper deals with project management. The issue is explained in the theoretical part with contains the basic termns, organizational structure, interested organizations, project life cycle, project management prodcedures, etc. The practical part of this Bechalor's paper is focused on planning a real project of a glassmaking company in North Bohemia, namely launching new coloured glass into the market. Microsoft Office Project 2007 is used for the project planning. At the end of the paper, the program outputs are compared with the originally given terms. Part of the project is also the Gantt chart including the critical path and cost analyses, resource analyses and risk analyses. A decision on the project realization is made at the close of the Bachelor's paper.

This thesis focuses on the socio-economical meaning of glassblowing in the geographical area of Nový Bor. It reflects its historical development plus its possible future forms. On the basis of collected informations, thesis analyzes socio-economical ideological importance of the glassblowing institutions in the particular area.
Analysis of Czech export development in chosen field - glass industry, jewellery glass

The thesis named Analysis of Czech export development in chosen field - glass industry, jewellery glass describes a development of glass and ceramics industry in Czech lands and in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyze export development of glass and ceramics products, mainly in the 21st century. Conclusions are based on data of Harmonized System from the Czech Statistical Office. It is clear that the importance of export of glass, jewellery and ceramics is not as high as it used to be before WWII, however, the value of export increased in 2010. The future of the Czech glass-work is represented by orientation to technologically sophisticated products which cannot be easily produced on the cheap Asian markets.
The Czech Cold casting - Libensky and Brychtova

ANNOTATION Lenka Stedrova Czech mold melted glass - Brychtova and Libensky The topic of the bachelor work are personalities of Jaroslava Brychtova and Stanislav Libensky mainly who worked out and improved the mold melted glass technology in Bohemia and origin of this technology itself. It focuses on life of Ms. Brychtova and Mr. Libensky, their common cooperation, cross-section of their whole production, exhibiton activity and museum expositions, where the authors present their works. Further on it records the circumstances of the mold melted glass evolution in the experimental centre of the melted glass by the national company "Zeleznobrodske sklo" in Zelezny Brod and consequently in studio Lhotsky Ltd. in Pelechov. The works are time-focalised to the period of 2. half of the 20th century and there is recorded a subsequent influence of this technology on the Czech art scene and context with the era. Part of the text are analyses of some chosen works of the art couple Brychtova and Libensky and their art description. The goal of the work is to introduce the melted glass and artists who are engaged in and show its rareness in Czech and foreign context of the glass art. Supervisor: prof. PhDr. Petr Fidler
