The Position of Profesional Foster-mather in The SOS Children's Villages

This dissertation deals with the position of foster-mother in SOS children's villages. The first part focuses on the legislative background of the operation of these facilities for foster care in the context of the development organization SOS Children's Villages in the Czech Republic and the international organization SOS Kinderdorf International. It discusses the problem of Czech SOS Children's Villages, when foster-mother is responsible for the child entrusted to foster care, which is the difference from the Czech villages than villages in the other countries. The second part analyzes the role of the SOS foster-mother. It offers a reflection on the meaning of the concept of the archetypal mother and changes of maternal role. The dissertation maps a question of motivation and readiness for fostering.Step by step are described SOS foster-mothers's career stages and are development cycles of SOS families. The work deals with the controversial topic, such as support for an SOS foster-mother. It introduces the concept of an integrated following educational community youth, boarding facilities for teenagers and young adults from the SOS villages. Child's life in a foster care

Theme: Child's life in a foster care This Bachelor Paper deals with the points at issue of a foster care, especially living together of foster parents and a child with educational problems taken into care. The goal of this Bachelor Paper is to introduce problems of foster care and show a real case of a child with educational problems and show how this situation is solved in this family. The Paper should provide an answer to what factors could affect educational problems of the child. The Paper is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical ones. The theoretical part is devoted to a description and history of foster care forms in the Czech Republic. It also deals with living together - its preparation, making relations, etc. and subsequent living together - a child's in a foster family development, bringing up, relationships, surroundings, etc. In the empirical part there is a qualitatively focused research in a form of case Study, where an unstandardized interview, an observation and a study and analysis of documents are a tool of data collection. The use of color modification of Wartegg drawing test with children living out of own family

The bachelor thesis is focused on one of the typical manifestations of children living in children?s homes in the colour modification of the Wartegg drawing test. The theoretical part of the work was elaborated by analysis of scientific literature. It provides some information about projective techniques and their use, about children?s drawing, family, emotional development of early - school age and inadequate care of the child. Consecutively there are chapters introducing the foster and adoptive family care and institutional care. The aim of the theoretical part is the characteristic of the Wartegg drawing test, its colour modification and the exploratory group. In the empirical part we find the analysis of the drawings of children from children?s homes obtained with the colour modification of the Wartegg drawing test. In the thesis there is stated the description of the content and formal marks and the analysis of each field of the test. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe typical marks in the colour modification of the Wartegg drawing test with children living out of own family, especially in children?s homes.

Foster care in the South Bohemian region during the years of 2003 and 2008

This paper deals with alternative family care with the main focus being on foster care. The first chapter contains a brief introduction of adoption in order to compare and comprehend the differences between these two forms of alternative family care. The second chapter describes foster care from a historical and legal point of view. After this, we are introduced to all concerned parties - the foster care recipients, the foster care applicants and the authorities involved in the process - we are acquainted with the procedure of foster care mediation. In relation to the set goals, an investigation was carried out for the practical part of the project, whereby secondary analysis of data was carried out using primary documentation of children placed into foster care and foster care applicants in 2003 and 2008. In this instance, the applicants were already foster carers. The conclusion includes an evaluation of the data with the results detailed in tables and graphs. Finally, the time periods in question are compared in order to gain answers to the set research questions.

Possibilities and Limits of Substitute Family Care

The paper deals with the importance of substitute family care in the Czech Republic. Theoretical part characterizes possibilities of substitute family care, importance of family and its ambiance. Next, it describes risk and protective factors and substitute family, focuses on institutional treatment of children and possible problems of child{\crq}s socialization. Practical part contains casuistics and comparison of two chosen cases: case of successful and unsuccessful substitute family care. Both cases have good intention. They offer further view into problems of substitute family care. Its quality is not related only to those who decided to take abandoned child into their family but lies also in the child itself and not forgetting in abilities of workers securing substitute family care.
