Objectivization of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization effect on foot supporting function using Senno Gait device

The thesis evaluates the immediate effect of one therapeutic unit that using Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) on the foot support function. The aim of the experiment was to verify effect of a single DNS therapeutic unit would to the determined parameters. The main expected effect was the optimization of the dynamic function of the foot and achieving better stability during the stance phase of a gait cycle. Methods: For the study, the asymptomatic group of 30 probands aged 24-36 years, 10 men and 20 women was selected. Fifteen probands were randomly divided to two groups - fifteen experimental group and fifteen to the control group. Subjects enrolled in the experimental group were measured before and after one forty minute therapeutic unit of DNS concept. The control group underwent two measurements at the same time interval, but without the therapeutic unit. The Senno Gait instrument was used for measuring. It contains insoles with motion sensors. It collects the data at a 100 Hz sampling rate for 1 minute while walking at its own normal speed. Results: Compared to initial examination, the significant shortening of the standing phase in the left lower limb (p = 0.003) and in the right lower limb (p = 0.034) was observed. Biomechanical gait analysis in cerbral palsy

Title: Biomechanical gait analysis in cerbral palsy Objectives: The main aim of this work is to compare pressure values on feet of young man with cerebral palsy during for him normal gait, gait with French crutches in narrow (modified) and wide (natural) holding and with crutch held only at left hand. Methods: One 23-years-old proband with sapstic triparetic cerebral palsy was participated in a qualitative research (case studies). Young man was examined using the Pedar - X pressure measuring system. The proband was subjected to measurements with pressure insoles placed in his shoes. Natural gait measurement, narrow (modified) and wide (natural) crutches grip and crutche on left side all measurements with five repetitions were performed, each with four step cycle. Evaluated were the pressure distribution and the magnitude of the vertical force component. Results: Proband's gait showed considerable asymetry in the step cycle. The pressure distribution on the feet was more uneven during walking with the crutches narrow held against the natural gait. However, the greatest asymmetry and congestion of the left leg was created when walking with crutches with wide (natural) grip. Title: Influence of gait in high heels on posture, and division of pressure on the contact area level of the feet and the floor Objective: The aim of the dissertation was to verify how walking in high-heeled shoes influences the time and pressure parameters of the step cycle and posture during slow and very slow walking in low experienced wearers. Methods: The research study was an empirical, comparative intra-individual study. Pedar-X® measuring inserts (Novel, Munich, Germany) were used to measure the distribution of plantar pressures and to evaluate time parameters while walking on a conveyor belt at v1 = 0.97 ms-1 and v2 = 0.56 ms-1 in straight shoes and high-heeled shoes. SonoSens Monitor Analyzer® (Gefremed, Chemnitz, Germany) was used to assess posture. The research group consisted of thirty healthy women wearing high-heeled shoes occasionally (age: 21.8 ± 2.09 years, weight: 55.7 ± 4.05 kg, height: 1.66 ± 0.03 m). Anova test and paired t-test were used for statistical analysis, and the Cohen coefficient d was used to calculate material significance. Advanced analysis of signals from gait laboratory.

The aim of the thesis is a realization of advanced analysis of signals from gait laboratory. The introductory part deals with the gait cycle and its relation to the joints kinematic is discussed. Additionally, the work is focused on the description of the gait laboratory and the definition of the indexes in order to quantify patient´s overall gait in kinematic analysis. In the practical part, kinematic data analysis was implemented in the MATLAB environment and the results of healthy individuals and patients with cerebral palsy were compared. Kinematic analysis included peak detection in specific kinematic variables. In the last part a graphical user interface for visualization was implemented.

Gait analysis has an irreplaceable meaning in many various fields. Thanks to the Vicon system, which is used in gait laboratory, the movement of individual body parts can be captured. The purpose of this work is to process data records from gait laboratory, and kinetic analysis in Matlab program. The main target of the bachelor thesis is to compare detected values, which were evaluated by kinetic analysis of the data obtained from tested subject during performing the exercise and creating GUI.

Abstract The thesis deals with the reaction of body to postural loading during stance and walking. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on postural control and postural reaction during stance and walking. Particular attention is paid to gait cycle, dynamic plantography and Zebris FDM-T Rehawalk system, which has been used in the practical part of this thesis. Two chapter deal with postural loading, the first is focused on symmetrical loading (e.g. backpack) and second on asymmetrical loading (laptop back - ipsilateral, contralateral and held in hand). The practical part presents the examination of 32 volunteers who were either standing or walking on a dynamic plantograph. The volunteers were exposed to either symmetrical or asymemtrical 5 or 10 kg load. Kinetic and kinematic gait analysis using VICON system

The Vicon optoelectronic system can be used to analyze human walking. This measurement greatly helps to diagnose problems with the motion apparatus. This work deals with the use of this system for the measurement of kinematic and kinetic values of joints for lower body model. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare the results of healthy patients and patients with cerebral palsy. The theoretical part deals with the description of the gait cycle from kinematics and kinetics, and also description of the device for the analysis. In the practical part, automatic detection of values is proposed, which were evaluated, compared and discussed in the last part.
The effect of flat feet on the stability of the ankle joint of floorball players

Title: The effect of flat feet on the stability of the ankle joint of floorball players. Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to determine whether a flat feet has any effects on the floorball players' ankle joint stability. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the chronic ankle instability, other leg pathologies and on the options of therapeutic interventions. Eventually, the thesis provides summary and output data for physiotherapist, sport couches and the examined players. Methods: First a literature study was conducted to establish a theoretical framework. Based on the feature/aspect examination of longitudinal foot arching and an initial questionnaire 10 particular subjects aged 22 to 29 were selected, all of them form the TJ Tatran Střešovice team. The subjects were divided in 2 groups - with longitudinal flat feet and without longitudinal flat feet pathology. The examined subjects were scored with negative points according to occurrence of any pathologies. Both groups were also benchmarked in the Star Excursion Balance Test that determined feet dynamic stability index. Gait analysis using EMG signals

This bachelors thesis is focused on the analysis of gait using EMG signals. It includes the physiology of a muscular system, with a focus on the lower limb. Bipedal walking consist of ste system that are described and explained also with the movements of the joints. Another chapter is dedicated of Electromyography and this application to the walk analysis. This thesis also includes designing a custom program enabling dataprocessing. Thi final chapter focuses od the data processing. The final chapter focuses on the data analysis and its evaluation.
