The senzorical evaluation of quality of fodder grassland biomass by different way of conservation
KODADOVÁ, Lenka
Bachelor thesis in the first part deals with the characteristics of prominent legumes and grasses, their importance in the cultivation of coarse fodder. Describes methods of harvesting and conservation of grassland biomass. Sensory, nutritional and technological quality of coarse fodder. Factors that affect it and its importance in livestock nutrition. It also deals with technological processes in the production of hay and silage from grassland, causes impaired their quality and their impact on the income of livestock. The second part of the thesis is focused on the sensory quality evaluation conserved forage in different ways of preservation - haybales, hay and silage in silagepits on land of agricultural cooperative Opařany.
Significance of quarries for the conservation purposes of Central European spider \kur{Eresus} spp.
BLAŽKOVÁ, Zuzana
Selected quarries and adjacent areas of xerophilous grassland in Bohemian karst were examined for the presence of velvet spider burrows. Selected microhabitat valuables were collected and their significance for ladybird spider analyzed.
Determination of errors in energy flux estimates using the bowen ratio energy balance method
Pozníková, G. ; Fischer, Milan ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Žalud, Zdeněk
The Bowen ratio energy balance method (BREB) is based on the measurement of air temperature and humidity gradients in at least two vertical levels above the surface of interest. So far, there have been a limited number of studies dealing with the footprint of the BREB. Staying conservative, many authors used the upper sensor of the BREB as a single point to determine the footprint of the BREB. In fact, the footprint of the fl uxes rather should be explained as a source area of the single point measurement carried out somewhere between the two BREB levels. It was suggested that this single point lies close to the geometrical mean of the two aero dynamical heights. However, there has still been no consensus regarding if this apparent height is fi xed or not, and if the second is true, whether it is a function of the Bowen ratio itself. Th e submitted study deals with the footprint of the BREB using several BREB experiments above various covers with diff erent fetches. Moreover, by simulating diff erent Bowen ratios between the area of interest and the contaminating area we attempt to investigate for which conditions (dry or wet) and type of transition (from drier to wetter or vice versa) the method is more sensitive to the limited fetch.
Restoration of hay meadows on ex-arable land: commercial seed mixtures vs. spontaneous succession.
VÍTOVCOVÁ, Kamila
The subject of this study were to compare two methods of grassland restoration - regrassing and spontaneous revegetating of abandoned fields in the Bohemian Forest foothills. The main aims of this study were to assess the phytocoenose differences between the re-grassed and spontaneously revegetated fields and effect of surrounding to abandoned field. The data were collected during the season 2008 and were analyzed by ordination methods (DCA, CCA) and by the ANCOVA. The significant difference between regrassed and naturally revegetated fields was not found. The effect of surrounding was important, most meadow species (92% in average)that were found in the field occurring in the surroundings too.
Use of the grassland biotope for teaching basics of ecology - project
FLÉGLOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of the grassland biotope during ecology lessons. Author describes chosen meadow first, then she analyses selected textbooks and creates a program to practise, strengthen and better understanding of ecology knowledge. The part of this program includes ecology games, a work paper and teacher's book.
The Characteristic of the distribution of the worlď s land biomes - the educational programme for primary and secondary school
JANOUŠKOVÁ, Lucie
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to create a educational programme The Characteristic of the distribution of the worlďs land biomes. This programm is create for teaching of students with educational programmes in ZOO Ohrada Hluboká nad Vltavou. The educational programme consists of the text book, worksheets and methodical manual for teachers. The thesis consists of an analysis and evaluation of selected textbooks for the second grade of primary schools.
The Utilization Of Goats And Sheep In Care For Landscape And Their Submission In Ogranic Farming
JIRMANNOVÁ, Kristýna
The analysis of management of sheep and goat breeding on the organic farm is the main aim of my thesis. The herd was examine at the Slunečná organic farm in the Šumava Mountains. The animals were monitored during grasing season by force of metod ethology monitoring. Sheep and goats were monitored and it was done four times for always 24 hours during a grazing period. The method of the direct monitoring was used and the base categories of the behaviour (food intaking, lying, standing and moving) were written down by an interval method - the interval took 10 minutes. The comfortable, mother's, social and sexual behaviour were writen down as well. Gained data from single sighting was expressed absolute and percentage share form total tables and graphs. The results were interpreted on the basis of the study of special literature and legislation about organic farming and animal ethology. The way of sheep and goats farming was according to an inborn biorhythm and gave the animal free and natural ways of behaviour. The physiological and ethological needs of animals are satisfactory. Sheep and goats have the possibility to graze freely on pastures and they effect positively on the landscape management. They keep grasslands without woody plants and weeds.
Occurence and density of corncrake (Crex crex) in selected parts of National Park Šumava in relation to biotope management
PEKSA, Martin
The abundance of males of corncrake (Crex crex) in dependence on its biotope management was studied in the west part of the Šumava National Park. A night counting of singing males of corncrake by the method of point transect was practised. A record of male territorial vocalization was used. The research last from 9th June 2008 to 8th July 2008 in the extent of 598,3 hectare and in the average altitude of 877,7 metres above sea-level. Sixty-two males of corncrake was found out in total. The average population density was 0,07 ex./ha. Among 39 monitored localities there were 53,9 % of perennial biomass crops, 23,8 % of localities without management, 11,9 % of grasslands and 10,5 % of localities where the management according to the agroenvironmental programme is practised. It was acknowledged a positive influence of localities where the management according to the agroenvironmental programme is practised on corncrakes occurrence. In spite of the procentual representation of these localities being the smallest the average occurrence of corncrake there is the largest. It appears from these results that the agroenvironmental programme called "Bird localities on biomass crops - the breeding place of corncrake" is beneficial.
Analysis of tourism services at Lipno
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Kristina
The main poit of the work was the Lipno region and analysis of tourism services (accommodation, food, infrastructure, services for bikers, skiers, motorists, supplement services). And than was judged level of staff, cleanness, order and price too. After marketing research was realized data complied to tables, graphs. These informations was judged to client, environment, employment. Was proposed move too help this region in attractive. The main areas were: 1. A better quality for local inhabitants, 2. Infrastructure and environment, 3. Development of tourism, 4. Support for enterprisers. Than was offered innovation product package and comparison among Lipno region, Austria, Germany.
Bionomics, diurnal behaviour and habitat selection of a vulnerable butterfly \kur{Erebia aethiops} in South Bohemia Bohemia
KLEČKOVÁ, Irena
Erebia aethiops (Esper, 1777) is a lowland representative of prevailingly mountain butterfly genus Erebia (Dalman, 1816). As many other butterfly species, it is declining in Central and Western Europe. I carried out an extensive mark-recapture study of its large population inhabiting Vyšenské Kopce Natural Reserve, the largest complex of calcareous grasslands in South Bohemia, Czech Republic. This thesis relates the demographic parameters to behavioral information, which indicate its habitat use. It also provides original observations of diurnal behaviour and bionomics of this little-studied and ecologically unusual species.
