HRV analysis in the context of daily activities
Indrák, Václav ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Novotná, Petra (advisor)
The aim of this bachelors thesis is to measure ECG recordings on voulenteers, and following analysis of HRV from these recordings. It persues the explanation of basic metrics used to evaluate HRV, used both in clinical and scientific practice and their following programming implementation in Matlab environment to achieve the most accurate results possible, which are than assessed.
Detection of pathologies in ECG signals
Němec, Radek ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Kašpar, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis attempts with methods for detection of pathologies in ECG signals. The first part is focused on the basic theory of heart anatomy, electrocardiography and individual heart pathologies. The second part describes the preprocessing of ECG signals, detection of QRS complexes and detection of individual pathologies. In the third part the detector is being tested on CSE database and my own measured data.

EOG signal processing using Arduino
Typovský, Viktor ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with scanning and processing EOG signal. Processing means displaying EOG signal detection and eye movement. The theoretical part is first described the formation and properties of EOG signal. Furthermore, they describe factors affecting EOG. The practical part is then given proposal hardware solutions to capture this signal and processing algorithm. Scanning EOG signal is realized by means of the instrumentation amplifier. Its filtration is used lowpass Sallen-Key. It was decided to maintain during scanning DC component of the signal. But that was a problem regarding the electrode potential. This problem would be resolved by the proposed compensation circuit. Processing the resultant signal is then performed in an environment Processing using Arduino platform. EOG imaging algorithm and motion detection functions and is given.
Measurement and analysis of ECG signal
Černohous, Lukáš ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
In the first part, this thesis focuses on theoretical knowledge about ECG signal generation, its measuring and filtration. Furthermore it examines the R-wave as the most significant portion of the QRS Complex, describes the LabVIEW environment and the Vernier LabPro interface. The second part of the thesis then shows one of the possible ways of the R-wave detection and the subsequent heart rate measurement, which is then implemented by a program designed in LabVIEW environment. In the conclusion, the results of the thesis are evaluated.
Digital filters - learning simulation
Hampl, Lukáš ; Pikula, Stanislav (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the theoretical analysis and application of methods of the two basic types of the digital filters designs. The specific digital filters in this bachelor’s thesis are filters FIR (final impulsive response) and IIR (infinite impulsive response). The main aim in this bachelor’s thesis is, besides the theoretical analysis about the digital filtration, to create a program in the LabVIEW. A user can design digital filters of both types with the help of this program. This program should serve as a learning tool for students to easier understand the problematics of the digital filtration. The emphasis is on the possibility of the design of both filters when user can try how each property is changed with the slightest change of settings. Apart from the filtration of the own input signal, the reciprocal comparison of the both digital filters according to a few criteria is very important.
BER Meter for Video Signals
Šimoník, Petr ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Říčný, Václav (advisor)
The diplomma thesis is dealing with possibilities of Signal to noise ratio measurement by method, which is based on direct measurement. It is chosen the most suitable method – signal and noise separation to two different parallel signal branches, where is measured signal strength in one branch and root mean square value in the other. The thesis is consisted of a concept of detail block scheme of Signal to noise ratio meter, which was designed in terms of theoretical knowledge. Particular functional blocks were circuit-designed, the active and passive parts were chosen and their function were described. There were made simulation and displayed input and output time flows. There is designed the whole connection of engineered Signal to noise ratio meter in the last part of my thesis. The double-sided board of printed circuit is contained too. It was created simple programme for supervisor micro-processor. Thereby were constructed complete bases for realization.
