System for Recognition of 3D Hand Geometry
Multicameras Biometric Gateway to Identify People
Kosík, Dominik ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is about creating biometric gate to identify people. The Identification is achieved with 5 RGB cameras and one thermal camera. Thermal camera is used for detection of person. Then, from images acquired from RGB cameras, is created 3D model of photographed person. This model is then used for the identification. However due to inaccuracies in created model, identification isn't precise enough. Because of that, it's necessary to modify used algorithms processing 3D model, so better precision is achieved.
Biometrie a její využití v kriminalistice
VÁCHOVÁ, Ivona
The bachelor thesis is focused on submitting actual and understandable information about biometrics. The aim is to acquaint the public with the possibilities of biometric identification, their technologies and utilization in forensic science. The thesis explains important terms, history of the branch and division of biometric characteristics and identification. The thesis also introduces biometric systems, their criteria and errors. The main part consists of processing of selected identification methods. At the end there is also a possibility of using biometric characteristics in identity papers and forensic science.
Identification of persons using retinal biometry
Klimešová, Lenka ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This paper deals with identification of persons using retinal biometry. The retinal vasculature is invariant and unique to everyone, which determines it for biometric purposes. The first part of the work includes information about biometrics, biometric systems and reliability measures. The next part describes the principle of using experimental video ophthalmoscope, which was used for retinal vascular imaging and includes the literature research of use of retinal images for biometrics, feature extraction methods and similarity measures. Finally, two algorithms to use the input data are proposed and realized in programming environment MATLAB®. The methods are tested and evaluated on a data set from experimental video ophthalmoscope and on publicly available STRaDe and DRIVE databases.
Security of Electronic Documentation in Medical Environment
Hauserová, Markéta ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Barabas, Maroš (advisor)
Thesis is analyzing czech laws which are related to medical documentation. Describes the points  which are mandatory for information system, so the medical documentation can be stored electronically. Includes various algorithms for implementation of certain electronic signature and for  identification of person. This thesis deals with asymmetric cryptography, specifically RSA, DSA, and ECDSA. Describes the hash functions and their functions and their characteristics. Describes the principle of the certificate, ways of its obtaining, invalidation and their formats. Analyzes medical information system and suggests ways to create a program for signing medical records. Then based on that analysis, the program is implemented. At the conclusion of the work is discussed, if created program meets the criteria.
Recognition of isolated words
Ondruška, Jiří ; Švrček, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Human speech recognition in biometric systems is an actual problem, which science intensively deals with. One of most used methods is the method of hidden Markovov’s models. Attention in isolated words recognition is focused on characteristic speech signal parameters obtaining, enabling most clear identification due to hiddem Markov model application. This work concentrates on biometric systems, its methods, and then is focused on isolated words recognition problems. The hidden Markov model recognition system with usage of some Matlab functions is designed. Concept focuses on characteristic speech signal parameters obtaining, code book making through vector quantization, words model training and finally probability of concrete model and obtained word similarity evaluation. Ratio for one speaker's spoken words recognition reaches 40%.
Biometric systems in businesses and homes
Jarolín, Michael ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I focused on biometrics and biometric systems, which are suitable for use in businesses and homes. The main aims of this thesis are to show what choices enterprises have in various sectors and to verify whether deployment of biometric systems in a particular company will increase productivity and profits. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and deals with biometrics and biometric systems. It mentions the history of biometrics, opportunities offered by the today's market with the systems to the companies in various sectors and factors that influence the implementation of the device. The second part of the thesis deals with particular implementation of biometric attendance system in particular company. The basic hypothesis of the second part is to verify whether the deployment of biometric attendance system will be profitable or not.
