Evaluation of wood surface treatments by non-destructive methods
Plšek, Matěj ; Brožovský, Jiří (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis will be describing the basic technologies of timber processing and macroscopic signs according to which the visual strength grading is performed. Imaging methods will be described to identify the roughness of wood surface. In the experimental part, the surface roughness parameters for various surface treatment methods will be determined and the dependence of the surface roughness on wetting and penetration depth of the adhesive will be monitored.
Study of anhydrite binder
Břicháčková, Jana ; Fridrichová,, Marcela (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The present work deals with research in the preparation of sulphate anhydrite binders based. It is conceptually divided into a general theory of sulphate anhydrite binders and binders, focusing in particular anhydrite cast floors, as well as search anhydrite binders of research training at the Institute of THD and study requirements for screed materials, with emphasis on anhydrite screed mix.
Bonding of 3D printed PET-G parts
Maxa, Ondřej ; Kupčák, Radim (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis solves the problem of gluing PET-G material, which is used for printing 3D models in 3D printers. The goal is to select and then test the adhesive suitable for bonding the material. The suitability of the recommended adhesives was determined on the basis of standardized tests on experimental blasting equipment. Based on the measurement results, it is suitable to use one-component instant adhesives for gluing PET-G material, the advantage of which is easy handling and quickly achievable handling strength.
Vliv reologických vlastností lepidel na vlastnosti lepeného spoje
Žídek, Vojtěch
The subject of this bachelor thesis is to determine the effect of the adhesive used and its consistency on the strength of bonded joints. For the purpose of testing, two types of wood were used - larch from coniferous trees and beech from deciduous trees. The samples were glued with UF and PVAC glue.
Bonding of composite materials in precise applications
Hartmann, Kurt ; Gregor, Lukáš (referee) ; Kupčák, Radim (advisor)
A study on composite materials and adhesive technology was conducted as part of the research. The main objective of the work was to evaluate the suitability of selected adhesives for precision applications. The practical part focused on this objective and included the design and development of a special bonding preparation, enabling the creation of samples for subsequent strength testing.
Dissemination of Cordyceps fumosorosea by entomopathogenic Nematodes
HOPFGARTNER, Miriam
C. fumosorosea is an entomopathogenic fungus that has been used as a biocontrol agent against various insect hosts for some time. Its efficacy as an entomopathogen can be increased by joined application of the fungus with entomopathogenic nematodes. The aims of this thesis are to investigate the impact of the foraging strategy of different nematode species on the spore dispersal of C. fumosorosea and the significance the nematode's 2nd stage cuticle holds for spore dissemination. Additionally, novel approaches for the enhancement of spore transmission in soil environments via adhesives are explored.
Precise bonding of composite materials
Tellinger, Adam ; Gregor, Lukáš (referee) ; Kupčák, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of bonding composite materials. The first part of the bachelor's thesis is focused on research into the production of composite materials and gluing technologies. The content of the practical part is the design of test specimens and a preparation for their bonding with subsequent production. Furthermore, verification of compliance with the required accuracy of bonded joints when using different adhesives using 3D measurements.
Gluing of FDM 3d printed parts from PLA
Šlimar, Filip ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis deals with the theory of 3D printing, materials for printing and bonding. It focuses on FDM printing and PLA material. It also compares gluing with other methods and deals with the distribution of adhesives, the gluing procedure and tests of glued joints. The work, based on literature studies, proposes an experiment to evaluate selected adhesives. The practical part contains a description, results and evaluation of the experiment. The evaluation of adhesives is based on tensile and shear strength.
Bonding of composite materials in precise applications
Schubert, Vojtěch ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Kupčák, Radim (advisor)
This work is focused on the bonding of composite materials. Related research dealing with technology of production and bonding of these materials was additionally conducted. Practical part of this thesis was set to find out what the optimal bond line thickness was for the bonding of the composites. Thus, the strength of single-lap joints (SLJ) in series of various bond line thicknesses was therein tested. A model of samples (and design of their production by wet lay-up) for the experiment is also provided in this thesis.
