The Farm of 21st century
Murárová, Lucia ; ing.arch. Lukáš Ležatka, Ph.D (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čuprová, Danuše (advisor)
The Bachelor´s Thesis is based on the architectural study completed during the second year of the bachelor´s studies. Its aim was to design horse houses for hypotherapy with ouside uncoverd riding hall, inside roofed riding hall and an additional capacity of accommodation for visitors besides an existing object. The building is located in Orlicke hory, what affected setting in the topography and the entire setting within a building lot. In respect of a huge degree of incline of the topography, the object is set along level curves and it reflects the topography configuration. The Adelheide Farm consists of the three parts, one of them is roofed riding hall, a part meant to be a box horse housing and a part which is aimed to be a public space, what should be visible from the outside view. The design combines a traditional architecture of Orlicke hory with a modern architecture. There are used natural materials in the design, for example wood. The wooden facade lamella link two objects optically.
Novel nanocatalysts for fuel cells II: micro-fuel cells on chip
Onderková, Kristýna ; Matolínová, Iva (advisor) ; Johánek, Viktor (referee)
Title: Novel nanocatalysts for fuel cells II: micro-fuel cells on chip Author: Kristýna Onderková Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Iva Matolínová, Dr., Department of Surface and Plasma Science Abstract: The thesis examines layers of cerium oxide doped with platinum, prepared by magnetron sputtering on various types of planar substrates. The work focuses primarily on how the layers are affected by doping different amounts of platinum. The samples were studied mainly using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Using the combination of SEM and Focused Ion Beam (FIB), we have prepared thin samples (lamellae), which allow the passage of electrons. The lamellae were observed using SEM with a detector of transmitted electrons. The lamellae were prepared with the focus on parameters of the protective layer. The chemical composition of Pt-CeOx samples was studied by Energy- Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). Keywords: Pt-CeOx, lamella, SEM-FIB, EDX, XPS 1
Preparation of nanostructure samples in SEM/FIB and their study in TEM
Lavková, Jaroslava ; Matolínová, Iva (advisor) ; Pešička, Josef (referee)
This work is studying the layers of cerium oxide (doped with platinum) prepa- red by magnetron sputtering on different types of substrates. Attention is focused mainly on modes of growth and morfology of (Pt−)CeO2 layers. The study was carried out by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The specimens (lamellas) were created by using focused ion beam (FIB) with respect to transparency for electron beam and material contrast. The emphasis was on elimination of redeposition and minimize the amorphous layer of lamella. Representation of elements was determined by energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) and electron-energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). 1
Aquapark
Vincour, Jan ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
Object of Diploma thesis is the structural design of a load bearing structure of the aquapark in the Brno area. The main structure is designed as lamella arch on the cylindrical surface with one curvature with 30 m span and 4.5 m camber. The structural material is glue-laminated timber with inner steel plate joints.
Strengthening steel beams using reinforcement based on FRP
Bláha, Tomáš ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
A study of an influence of strengthening steel beams using reinforcement based on FRP on a moment bearing resistance and bending stiffness. Evaluation of the theoretical calculation methods based on the performed experimental verification. Description of the production of carbon fibres and composite materials on the basis of carbon fibres.
Design of structures with FRP reinforcement
Matušíková, Anna ; Vácha, Jaroslav (referee) ; Štěpánek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents available FRP software for calculating load bearing capacity of the structures reinforced with FRP and compares them between each other. Furthermore theory and algorithm of my own software is presented here. Load bearing capacity of structures which are reinforced with non-metallic reinforcement and loaded by combination of normal force and bending moment can be solved by my programme. Effects of high temperatures on the concrete structures can be included in the calculation. In the second part of the thesis is calculated load-bearing capacity and deflection of the real beam reinforced with FRP reinforcement and load-bearing capacity of member with FRP reinforcement with effect of elevated temperature. This has been done using my software. Comparison of results from hand calculation and laboratory load-bearing testing is done at the end. This laboratory testing was accomplished by Institute of Concrete and Mansory Structures at our faculty.
Using the Microscope for diagnostics of Structure of Materials and Fault El. Equipment
Cvak, Jan ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to describe the possibility of using a microscope for documentation defects and innovation of electrical machines. I used an electron microscope to document carbon brushes and nanomaterials for possible upgrade of the sliding contact. Use microscopes gives us detailed information about the structure of materials, at the largest stress of the electrical machine. Based on the collected data can be further analyzed and innovation of the carbon brush.
