Universal solutions in gravity, electrodynamics and nonabelian gauge theories
Kuchynka, Martin ; Pravdová, Alena (advisor) ; Hervik, Sigbjorn (referee) ; Švarc, Robert (referee)
The presented thesis spans over a number of related topics with a com- mon theme - the so-called universality. Classical fields exhibiting this property serve as exact solutions to virtually any higher-order theory irrespective of the particular form of the field equations, being thus of particular interest in ef- fective field theories. The aim of this work is to study various aspects of such solutions in the context of gravity, electrodynamics, as well as more general nonabelian gauge theories. The results are concentrated in four chapters, the first of which is devoted to what we call the almost universal spacetimes. Due to their nice curvature properties, these spacetimes provide an efficient method for simplifying and solving the field equations of higher-order gravity theories. We illustrate this feature of almost universal metrics by finding new vacuum solutions to quadratic gravity and six-dimensional conformal gravity. In the second chapter, we shift our attention towards electrodynamics. Following up on recent results on universal electromagnetic fields, we deal with Einstein- Maxwell fields which simultaneously solve also any higher-order modification of the Einstein-Maxwell theory. In particular, we identify solutions with this remarkable property as plane-fronted gravitational and...
Evaluation of physical fields in a landscape locality
Jílek, Michael ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on gathering of theoretical backgrounds for geomagnetic measurements, measurement of electromagnetic and radiometric quantities in a natural locality, and subsequent evaluation of the obtained results from the point of view of their interrelations and in the context of hygienic regulations. All the theoretical backgrounds of each field are assigned to the measurement methodology and appropriate measuring technique, selected according to information from available sources. Appropriate instruments, landscape location, measurements were made, the results were evaluated and interpreted. The result is graphical output in the QGIS geographic information system.
Device for mechanical loading of samples
Rachůnek, Radek ; Zuth, Daniel (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and construct a device that will allow loading of the sample during irradiation at the tomographic test. The first part deals with the description of electromagnetism and the elements that use it to induce motion. Furthermore, the work describe similar devices used for the same purposes and a brief description of the electronic components utilized for the operation of the device. The conclusion is devoted to the design, manufacture and commissioning of equipment for mechanical loading of samples
Drive for seal-less pump
Pruša, Radomír ; Kurfurst,, Ing Jiří (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a drive for seal-less centrifugal pump. Designed motor with axial magnetic flux is a double-sided structure with an internal coreless stator. The construction of the seal-less pump is based on a patent no. 17818, which was created at the Victor Kaplan Department of Fluid Engineering BUT. Potential use of this assembly is mainly in the food industry, possibly in the field of chemically aggressive liquids. The whole design is based on coordination between analytical equations and finite element method of the software ANSYS Maxwell. The temperature ratios inside the motor were investigated when cooling with air by the iterative solution of thermal circuit. The work includes research on the topic of constructing the axial machines and their applications in pumps. A comprehensive specification of the entire seal-less centrifugal pump is given in Chapter 4.

Mathematics for Electromagnetism
Rára, Michael ; Spousta, Jiří (referee) ; Doupovec, Miroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the description of elektromagnetism by means of selected parts of mathematics, in particular tensors, vector fields, integral calculus and integral theorems. Maxwell's equations will be derived by means of these notions in integral form, differential form and tensor form, we also show usefulness of tensor form of these equations.
SNOM probes with special properties
Slabý, Vít ; Kalousek, Radek (referee) ; Spousta, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with scanning near-field optical microscopy. With SNOM we examined experimentally the near field of the interference of surface plasmon polaritons (PPP) on plasmonic structures consisting of slits in a metal layer a we discuss the effect of probe characteristics on the measurement results.Effect of few characteristics is simulated numerically. Findings obtained in the previous experiments are used for the construction designing of an experimental device called NanoGIS, which should serve for the nanostructure manufacturing.
Design of Electromagnetic Part of Vibration Power Generator for Low Frequency
Konrád, Libor ; Březina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
The project deals with contemporary position of vibratory generators based on electromagnetic principle and optimal constructional solving of electromagnetic part of generator. Practical part is searching for suitable solving of construction of electromagnetic part of vibratory generator in the light of required power. Solving is brought to effect by the simulator simulation. Vibratory generator works in frequency range 17Hz. Final suggestion has to answer requirements of observance of frequency ranges, minimal power and simple production. Project includes simulation model as well as proposal of final form of modified generator.
No-radiation effects of nuclear attacks
ŠIROKÝ, Miroslav
No-radiation effects of nuclear attacks create a big group of possible impacts on society. The first task of diploma thesis is to compile basic complex of known principles, features and descriptions of behaviour of electro technical materials, mainly in the sphere of electromagnetic fields and their interaction with surroundings on various (attack induced) outer conditions. These features are verified and demonstrated through laboratory measurements taken on basic components of the latest ICT devices. The second task is to compile the whole complex of findings and observations about SW models creations on interpersonal parallel communication. Acquired results are verified on the small group of 27 people.
