Creating a safe classroom climate by methods of drama education for beginning groups of students

The diploma thesis focuses on the creation of a safe classroom climate by methods of dramatic education for a beginning group of pupils. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate whether the methods of drama education contribute to the creation of a safe climate in the classroom. In the theoretical part, I will define the concept of classroom climate, school climate and mention here the main actors involved in its creation. The second half of the theoretical part focuses on drama education. The aim of this part is to map suitable methods of this education that contribute to building a safe climate. I devote the practical part to the preparation of several lessons for a group of fourth-year students who have no experience with drama education. Part of the practical part are specific lessons and their reflections, which record the development of the starting group. At the very end, there will be a comparison of the classroom climate before the introduction of drama education methods and after the implementation of individual lessons. To develop this part, I will choose a qualitative form of research, specifically the interview method with the class teacher. The interview will be conducted in two forms. My diploma thesis' topic is "Drama education as a space for realizing own needs and boundaries." The theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to the prevention of pathological phenomena, such as bullying or sexual harassment, which children can encounter with in real life but also on the internet, using drama education, its methods and techniques. The theoretical part also provides important information about these negative phenomena, about the essence of drama education and brings information necessary for understanding the issue. Part of the theoretical part is also the role of the drama education in the comprehensive development of children's personality, the formation of their life opinions, attitudes and values. This also includes the development of emotional and social competences, building and defining own boundaries and realizing one's own needs. The main content of the practical part is the creation of a preventive project regarding bullying, cyberbullying and sexual harassment using methods and techniques of drama education and its application in classes.

The diploma thesis Safety when meeting unknown people using dramatic education, in the form of folk fairy tales in the 1st year of elementary school deals the topic of the use of dramatic education in Czech language classes, specifically in literary education in the 1st year of primary school. Thematically, i tis focused on the use of fairy tales in the formo f dramatic lessons. Dramatic lessons are focused on fairy tales that also deal with the topic of meeting strangers, the positive development of students' cooperation and communication in the classroom, as well as the acquisition of some basic methods and techniques of dramatic eduacation. In the theoretical part, the concepts of dramatic education, literary education and the personality of a child of younger school age are characterized. The theoretical part also describes the goals, methods and techniques of drama education and its use in the 1st year of primary school. The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of elements of drama education in the theme of St. Nicholas Day in kindergartens. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on drama education and different concepts of celebrating St. Nicholas Day in kindergartens. It also touches on the topic of Franz Kett's pedagogy and describes the figure of St. Nicholas and the legends associated with him. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the preschool child's fear resulting from the traditional concept of celebrating St. Nicholas Day and explains the concepts of fear and anxiety. In the practical part, a drama lesson focusing on the feast of St. Nicholas is presented. The drama lesson is implemented in five kindergartens of different orientations. The bachelor's thesis describes the possibilities of linking movement and dance education using drama education. This connection should better comprehensively develop and shape the child's personality. The goal is to find out whether it is possible to connect these aesthetic educations with dramatic education and thus get the most out of the individual educations as much as possible for the comprehensive development of the child. In the theoretical part, my work deals with preschool children, their development and children's play. Children's play is the most natural way to knowledge and education for a child's development. In other chapters, I will describe aesthetic education, which is an integral part of the life of the teacher as well as of the child. It is important to take the work of a teacher seriously and leave nothing to chance. This work explores the potential use of drama education for preventing and addressing problem situations in schools. Class lessons play a crucial role in fostering a positive classroom environment, and drama education can be an effective tool for personal and social development in this context. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of drama education as a means of preventing and addressing problem situations in the classroom. To achieve this, six drama-based lessons were prepared, focusing on fostering positive relationships, developing communication skills, preventing bullying, and promoting respect for individuals from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. These lessons were implemented in a selected class, and their effectiveness was assessed through a questionnaire survey and visits by the school psychologist. Based on the progress of the lessons and the feedback from the students through the questionnaire survey, it was evident that the students responded positively to this type of classroom instruction, finding it effective in addressing important topics. Thesis called Drama education as the motivation to read deals with the tight linking of drama education and literature. Literature is used as the scheme for drama education in lessons and, thanks to the story, pupils are developed both in the area of drama and personality as well as in social. Moreover, due to its methods, techniques and topics, it manages to motivate pupils to read given books. Theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the crucial aims, methods, techniques, curricula, forms and the usage of the drama education at primary schools and, especially, its involvement into the framework educational programme. It also deals with the relationship in between drama education and literature and about choosing convenient literature for a particular lesson. General literacy, reading literacy and inner or outer factors influencing children's relationship to books are also investigated topics in the study. Utilizing a positive social climate in the classroom through drama education

The bachelor thesis Creating a positive social climate in the classroom through drama education finds out how drama education can be used to create a favorable environment in the kindergarten classroom. The theoretical part deals with the social climate of the classroom, its factors important for creating a favorable kindergarten environment, also refers to the characteristics of drama education, its function in preschool education (especially in developing children's personal and social skills) and its need for teachers. The practical part of the work pays attention to the possibilities of working with these activities in kindergarten. A project was developed and implemented, which included prepared dramatic activities that encourage children's creativity, imagination, empathy, teamwork, mutual respect, friendly classroom atmosphere, etc. The research was based on qualitative research, specifically on the methods of the participant. observations, video recordings, interviews as feedback to the implemented project and own knowledge and notes. The research sample was children and a kindergarten teacher. Based on the project, it was found that drama education is very beneficial for the social climate of the classroom.
The use of the song in the developement of creativity of preschool children

This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of song in the development of creativity of preschool children. The aim of the thesis is to characterize and highlight the importance and possibilities of combining musical and dramatic activities of preschool children to develop their creativity. The content of the theoretical part is the definition of creativity, characteristics of the current concept of preschool education with regard to the development of creativity, characteristics of the developmental peculiarities of the preschool child, dramatic education and its definition, experiential and cooperative learning of preschool children through dramatic education and play. The thesis also discusses song, its characteristics and musical activities in the preschool. In the practical part, a program is developed where song is used in the development of creativity of preschool children through the methods of dramatic education and musical activities, taking into account the specificity of preschool education. This program is proven in the practice of kindergarten. During the implementation of activities and subsequent detailed evaluation, the method of observation, interview and analysis of educational materials is used. Each part is reflected in detail with regard to specific educational outcomes for the child.
Using methods of drama education in preschool children

In my work I deal with dramatic education and its use of dramatic methods in preschool children. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part specifies dramatic education and concepts, methods, techniques associated with it, as well as the development of pre-school children and pre-school education, in which I also deal with the Framework Educational Program for Pre-school Education. Part of the practical part is a project on the theme of "Space", thanks to which I find out how to use methods in kindergarten. The main idea of my bachelor thesis is to prove the importance of drama education when working with preschool children. In my work I use observation method, method of interview with colleagues and parents, observation of colleagues and parents.
