Using Functional Behavioral Assessment in Pupils with ADHD at Primary School
ŠKOCHOVÁ, Kamila
My diploma thesis deals with the current topic and problem of pupils with ADHD at the first stage of Primary Futher, diagnostic and subsequent intervention approaches to such pupils using Functional Behavior Analysis. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to the topic of ADHD, the second part is focused on Functional Behavior Analysis (FACH). In the empirical part, we verified how the cooperation between teacher and student with ADHD takes place at the 1st stage of elementary school. The practical part is processed on the basis of a qualitative research survey, in which I chose the FACH method, to create interventions. This is action research. The aim of the research was to use and verify the diagnostic and interventional approach of FACH in the work of teachers with pupils with ADHD.
Public awareness and attitudes of teachers to children with ADHD
JANÁKOVÁ, Aneta
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of public awareness and attitudes of teachers towards children with ADHD. The aim of my work was to find out how the public is aware of this issue and what influence the media have on the information provided. I also found out what experience and knowledge have with ADHD children kindergarten teachers. The theoretical part describes in more detail the issue of ADHD, from the beginning of the definition of ADHD to the current concept. The next chapters are devoted to the manifestations, causes and diagnostics of children with this syndrome. The whole theoretical part is completed with therapies that are used for the treatment and alleviation of ADHD symptoms. The practical part is divided into two sections. The first section is focused on kindergarten teachers, where I found out in the form of interviews what their experiences are with the education of children with ADHD and what attitude the teachers takes towards these children. These interviews were subsequently evaluated. The second section is focused on the public, which answered questions related to ADHD and the influence of the media in the form of a questionnaire. All the answers from the questionnaires were processed into graphs and then evaluated. The results showed that kindergarten teachers are sufficiently familiar with the issue of ADHD and know how to approach children with this disorder and educate them. Another part of the results shows that the public knows the issue of ADHD and can imagine what this disorder entails.
Creating a classroom climate with a pupil with a specific behavioral disorder.
NAJMONOVÁ, Marie
The dissertation thesis is aimed at two mutually affecting topics - classroom climate and students suffering from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Theoretical part of the thesis deals with the specifics of the ADHD and with the issue of educating students suffering from the disorder. The theoretical part also deals with the issue of classroom climate and its participants: teachers, students and their parents. The final part of the theory comments on the experts dealing with the participants of classroom climate; the members of school counselling centres. The empirical part of the thesis presents two-part qualitative research aimed at the question of the influence of the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) on the classroom climate. The second part of the research was oriented to the influence of a student suffering from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) on other factors creating classroom climate. The outcome of the first research is represented by the multiple case study of students suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), based on semi-structured interviews with students, their parents, teachers and other educational staff involved in the educational process in school. The outcome of the second research is represented by the case study of a classroom attended by students suffering from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Academic development of students with learning disability at the Faculty of Science at USB
BOHÁČOVÁ, Lucie
The Master's thesis focuses on the academic development of students with specific learning disorder studying at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of South Bohemia. In particular, the thesis discusses the analysis of individual BA study programmes, where difficulty of the studies and the amount of workload are observed. The conclusions drawn from the thesis will be further utilised in a more general research project conducted by "GA JU". The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical background to specific learning disorders (henceforth "SPU"), their categorisation, symptoms, diagnosis and re-education. Emphasis is pit on their manifestations and diagnosis not only in childhood, but also in the high-school and university environment at the time of adolescence. Furthermore, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is discussed, also including manifestation in adulthood. The author further analyses university education in the Czech Republic with emphasis on the University of South Bohemia (henceforth "JU"), its history and individual faculties. The empirical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of BA study programmes offered by the Faculty of Sciences. The analysis focuses on compulsory as well as restricted elective subjects included in individual study programmes. The attached tables present the amount of credit exams and Zk+ (both credit and an exam) and the requirements necessary to pass the subjects in individual semesters throughout all years. It is from these requirements that the assigned workload is derived, which is then compared to the theoretical knowledge and needs of the students suffering from a specific learning disorder that affects them during their university studies.

The partnership's feelings about the child, who has attention deficit disorder
VACKOVÁ, Aneta
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map the family situation and experience relationships between partners in families with a child with attention deficit disorder. The bachelor's thesis focuses mainly on how the child's attention deficit disorder "enters" the family, as experienced by the child's parents from the mother's point of view. The aim is also to monitor how the mother perceives the effect of the child's attention deficit disorder on her own partner's life and what strategies she has with the partner to manage the family situation. Data are collected through an in-depth semi-structured interview with the child's mother and evaluated in a qualitative way. The practical part contains three case studies that focus on the mother's view of her own partnership, a description of changes in connection with the transformation of the partnership after the birth of a child with attention deficit disorder and the way the mother perceives and experiences what the child with attention deficit disorder brings to the relationship.

Vaněčková, Adéla ; Kucharská, Anna (advisor) ; Švamberk Šauerová, Markéta (referee)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the issue of educating a pupil with ADHD from the perspective of a teacher who has experience with teaching this pupil. At the same time, it focuses on the second stage of primary school, where, due to a pupil with ADHD, there is a risk that the teacher will have false expectations from him that are not in line with his disorder. For this reason, for the elaboration of this topic, emphasis is placed primarily on the perspective of the teacher, who is an important figure in the pupil's life, having a great influence not only on his school success. The aim of the work is to understand the relationship between teacher and student with ADHD and also to describe the phenomena that have a negative or positive effect on its building. To deepen the knowledge, the work is enriched by the perspective of school psychologists, who, among other things, contributed to the understanding of the issue of educating children, which differ. The theoretical part first mentions basic information about ADHD, including its diagnosis or etiology, but also additional information about the brain of people with ADHD or about the positive aspects of ADHD. The following chapter acquaints the reader with the aspects related to the education of a pupil with ADHD, such as the legislative...
