A pupil from a homoparental family

The topic of my diploma thesis is: "Student from a homoparental family", the theoretical part of which is devoted to the possibilities of the formation of a homoparental family, legal aspects in the Czech Republic and the rest of Europe, how such a family differs from a traditional one and how society views such a composition. It also provides insight into the development of a child's identity in a family made up of two mothers or two fathers and how it is possible to replace male and female role models. In the theoretical part, we will also find the remaining studies on same-sex parenting and the attitudes of experts towards raising children by same-sex couples. Last but not least, it is focused on the frequent reservations of society, homophobia and the media influence contributing to the creation of opinions on this topic. The practical part consists of three parts, an interview with associate professor Pavlína. Janošová, a pedagogical psychologist focusing, besides other things, on the topic of homosexuality and gender identity of children. A large space is devoted to interviews with a lesbian couple and their two school-age daughters and in the third part I suggest different options for opening this topic in the school environment using children's books and other stimulating materials.
Parents' divorce and its impact on primary school pupils

This thesis deals with parental divorce and its effects on the child at younger school age. The theoretical part focuses on the family and the overall process of divorce. Emphasis is placed on the child's experiences, reactions, school achievement and the overall impact of the divorce on the child. The practical part focuses on the child's experience of divorce, the impact of divorce on the child, school failure and the role of the teacher in the divorce process. The findings are obtained through qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews. The aim of the paper is to show that divorce is not an easy time in a child's life, it marks him/her for life.
Facilitate the adaptation proces of a child in preschool by using the author's story

This bachelor's thesis discusses the facilitation of a child's adaptation in kindergarten. It introduces the child's developmental stages and suggests possible support methods before the child starts kindergarden. It highlights the positive impact of literature on preschool children. It contains methods for reading pre-literacy and working with a book. He proposes an author's story as a method to facilitate the child's adaptation to kindergarten. It verifies its effectiveness in practice and, with the help of parents, evaluates the benefit of the story to children before starting kindergarten.
Raising a child in a problematic family

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Raising a child in a troubled family" and examines different types of these problems in individual families. The aim of this thesis is to identify problems, analyze their causes, evaluate the impact on the upbringing of children, how the family copes with the situation and find out how available support they have. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the definition of the family, its functions and the classification of different types of problems in families. The practical part of the thesis results from the qualitative research through semi-structured interviews, which were analyzed on the basis of the testimonies of individual respondents. The results of these interviews are processed into case studies of five children growing up in troubled families.
Involvement of family members in the care of a patient after a stroke at home environment

Abstract: The bachelor thesis is titled "Involvement of family members in care of a patient after a cerebrovascular accident in a domestic environment." Research aims: To find out how knowledgeable family members are about cerebrovascular accidents. To find out how knowledgeable family members are about care of an individual after a cerebrovascular accident. To learn about the caregiver burden of family members who take care of an individual after a cerebrovascular accident. To find out how a cerebrovascular accident affected individuals involved and their family's social interactions. Methodology and sampling: To achieve set aims, a set of research questions were created. How knowledgeable are family members about cerebrovascular accidents? How knowledgeable are family members about care of an individual after a cerebrovascular accident? How did a cerebrovascular accident affect individuals involved and their family's social interactions? The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part examines the definition of cerebrovascular accident (CVA), CVA types, clinical picture of CVA, diagnostics, CVA treatment, first aid and risk factors. CVA categories are described within this part. Moreover, the theoretical part describes the impacts of CVA on the patient, family and CVA, CVA rehabilitation, home care, treatment of a patient in home care, role of family members in home care and support of patient's independence in daily tasks. The empirical part of the thesis has been created using qualitative data analysis. The chosen method of research was semi-structured interviews with family members who take care of CVA patients in a domestic environment. The statistic sample consisted of 12 family members who take care of their relatives after CVA in a domestic environment. The data collected was processed using a pen-and-paper method and open coding. The results were subsequently classified into 3 categories and 13 subcategories. The results of the data analysis showed that family members have an overview of basic knowledge and expertise about cerebrovascular accidents in terms of taking care of a CVA patient in a domestic environment. Furthermore, it has been found how burdened carers are during their work and how CVA affected interactions between the family and the recovering. The output of the work is an information brochure for family members who care for a patient after a stroke in a domestic environment. It may also be of help to other families who take care of a patient after CVA.

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic Comparison of the dose system in the Czech Republic and selected foreign countries. It deals with the comparison of benefits, in particular parental allowance, cash assistance in maternity and child allowances in the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Poland, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom Sweden. The work is conducted as a theoretical one, where the goal was to compare the system of social benefits for parents with children within the Czech Republic with selected countries, It also describes the comparison of individual doses. It deals with the advantages of individual coutries and recommendation s for the Czech Republic.
Hearing impaired child of pre-school age - communication and relationships in kindergarten and in family

This bachelor's thesis focuses on a child with a hearing impairment and his communication and relationships in the family and in kindergarten. The main research goal of this work is to map the experiences of hearing parents in setting up a suitable communication system with a child with a hearing impairment of preschool age, what are the specifics of communication in the family and experiencing common everyday communication situations, which are, however, influenced by the aspect of hearing impairment. Furthermore, learn from the teachers' point of view what a child's communication looks like in kindergarten according to § 16 of the Education Act and what are child's relationships like in the group. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part clarifies the basic issues and terminology related to hearing impairment and defines important topics regarding the issue of a child with hearing impairment in the family, in kindergarten and their mutual cooperation.The practical part is carried out in the form of qualitative research. Data were collected using a semi-structured, in-depth interview with three mothers of hearing impaired children and structured interview with three kindergarten teachers. This work can be particularly beneficial for parents of children with hearing impairment, especially those whose child has just been diagnosed and who may be struggling both in the area of communication and in establishing relationships with the child and education. This work provides useful information and direct insight into families who have experienced this and their story can offer recommendations and strategies to better understand child's needs and improve communication and family relationships.
Gender roles of people with mental disabilities growing up in a family environment or institutional care

The thesis deals with the perception of gender roles of people with mental disabilities with regard to whether they grew up in a family environment or institutional care. The theoretical part of this thesis explains concepts such as gender roles, gender identity, mental disability, family, upbringing and institutional care. The practical part of the thesis processes interviews with the respondents of the research, who are people with mental disabilities. Partial targets of the research work are to compare the properties, perception of male and female role models, classification of typically female and typically male work, preferences and interests of people with mental disabilities according to the environment where they grew up.
A comparison of approaches in the application of Work-Family Balance of workers in the public and workers in the private sector

This thesis deals with the issue of reconciling work and family as one of the factors that influence satisfaction with work and family life, focusing on the women-mother. Attention is paid to the changing position of women in society, on the labor market and in the family, possible approaches to reproductive behavior and the opportunity offered by the state and employers to harmonize work and family. The work is focused on the comparison of the approaches of employers in the public and private sectors to work-life balance of their employees. Empirical investigation follows the identification of options to facilitate the harmonization of work and family that employers in both sectors offer the most workers, seeks to determine which of these options women use the most, which are the most helpful and which do they miss.

Family life with handicapped child The main objective of this thesis is to cover the day-to-day life with mentally handicapped offspring on the threshold of adulthood from the parent's perspective. The intention is to gain an insight into experiences, emotions, and motives of disabled children's parents, for the purpose of clarifying both positive and negative points of life with the handicapped. The main goal is to focus on the following issues - which impact has this life on the parents, how their everyday life is changed, and how their attitudes and perception of themselves has been changed. Another point is to ascertain how different opinions of mothers and fathers are. The thesis consists of two main parts. In the first one, the topic is anchored in the theoretical background. This theoretical part is based on the relevant topics published in specialized reference books. In the second one, it is followed by the analysis and interpretation of two consecutive interviews with the parents. This empirical part is processed by the methods of oral history. It also contains the references to the findings published in bibliography. The conclusion contains methodology analysis and summary of key points describing the life with handicapped child.
